Instructions to Setup - LIFEGARD® FULL VIEW Aquariums with Back Filter
Carefully remove your LIFEGARD® FULL VIEW Aquarium from the box and
place it on a clean surface. We will go through a step by step process to point
out every important detail about the aquarium.

LIFEGARD® FULL VIEW Aquarium comes with a
bottom drain or plug. The plug is there to block
any flow of water from the bottom of the tank.
If you replace it with the strainer it becomes a
bottom drain. This allows you to clean the soil
and have the ability to drain the dirt from the
bottom. Gently Shuffle the soil or gravel and let
the pump do the job.
LIFEGARD® FULL VIEW Aquarium comes with an
insulation pad. Unrolled the pad and place it on
the bottom of the tank - make sure there is no
debris underneath the tank or the insulation
pad.
On the back wall you will notice an airline tube.
This is a unique feature of LIFEGARD® FULL
VIEW Aquarium - where you can attach an Air
Stone or CO2 diffusers discreetly while the tube
under the gravel.
The first chamber of the back filter is the drain. The
overflow plate controls the level of the water in the
front side of the tank. Moving the plate up will
increase the level of the water while moving the
plate down will decrease the level of the water in the
front section of the tank. Note that when you
increase the level it will also utilize more water so
you may have to fill additional water in the tank.
Periodically clean this part of any debris that
may flow in and hide and block the dream.
LIFEGARD® FULL VIEW Aquarium comes with Carbon
field Bio Balls. These Bio Balls can be opened up to fill
fresh carbon to be replaced every two to three
months. We recommend you place the Bio Balls in
the first chamber. Ceramic beads go in the second
chamber. If you are using a heater that will also go in
the second chamber.
Review –The First chamber has Carbon filled Bio Balls. The Second chamber
has the Ceramic Beads and you can also place the heater in the 2ns
Chamber. The third chamber is where Mechanical Filter Sponges are kept.
Remove the sponges just to get an idea of how they're placed. Remember to
clean the sponge as they get dirty.
Note the layout of all
the parts that make
the back filter pump
assembly.
Start with the base
sponge and place the
Quiet One 400 pump on
it.
Insert the Flex hose
assembly into the pump
Attach the insert Elbow onto
the flex hose assembly
This is how it will look once
all the parts are attached.
But we will go back to last
step in order to attach it into
the back filter.

While the pump is
sitting on the base
sponge slide the
pump gntly into the
4th Chamber of the
back filter.
Side view of how the
pump should sit all the
way on the bottom of
the tank.
Slide the open end of the
insert elbow out of the
top hole –as shown above
Slide the rubber seal onto the
open end of the elbow from
the aquarium side –as shown
above
Gently Push the rubber seal
so it sits flush with the wall
of the back filter –as shown
above
Slide the Directional
Jet assembly into the
rubber seal
It should look like this
once installed correctly
flushed with the wall
Place the Clear Plastic
Clips that will hold the
glass lid.
Note how the clips are places
on the edges for proper grip
of the glass lid.
Place the glass lid on the
plastic clips.
