System Overview
T3 Microphones arrive paired to your new Lightspeed instructional audio system: Redcat, Topcat or 975. If the microphones
are being added to an existing audio system, they will arrive paired to the Access Link audio hub (see below).
During Tap-to-Talk student use, only a single T3 Microphone at a time can be connected and broadcast through the audio
system. Up to 12 T3 Microphones can be paired to a single system, in addition the one or two Flexmikes or Sharemikes,
which are always connected.
IDENTIFY YOUR T MICROPHONES
T3 microphones appear very similar to standard Lightspeed microphones with
a couple important dierences:
• T3 functionality is indicated by an yellow colored power status light.
• Both mic status lights solid white.
• When in the charger, the power/mute light will be solid white.
POWER ON THE SYSTEM AND T MICROPHONES
• Ensure the classroom audio base unit (Redcat, Topcat, 975 or Access Link) is
connected to power and turned on.
• Turn on the T3 Microphones by pressing the power button for 1-2 seconds. The mic
status lights will turn solid white to indicate the microphone is ready for operation.
