Read the instructions and notes carefully before you put the device into operation.
The safety instructions of the connected drive system have to be taken into
consideration also. Make sure that your staff that is occupied with connection,
mounting or usage is sufficiently informed and has access to this installation
instruction.
Warning –danger from electric current
Warning: Do not modify this equipment without authorization of the manufacturer!
Output the batteries from the HC518 before any maintenance operation, cleaning or
checking, in order to prevent any risk of electrocution.
- Never disassemble the HC518 by yourself, but take (or send) it to the after-
sales service for any necessary control, maintenance or repair. Improper work or
tampering on the product is dangerous and voids the warranty.
- Never operate the HC518 if it is damaged. Damaged parts must be replaced
immediately.
Warning
Care must be taken when operating this equipment around other electromagnetic
equipment (such as HF device). Potential electromagnetic or other interference
could occur to this or to the other equipment. Try to minimize this interference by
not using other electromagnetic equipment in close proximity of it.
Caution-The system components must never be exposed to the effects of
solvents, or basic or alkaline liquids.

The electrical adjustment drive is not intended for use by small children or frail
persons.
The electrical adjustment drive isn’t a toy for children.
The user is cautioned that changes or modifications not expressly approved by the
party responsible for compliance could void the user's authority to operate the
equipment.
This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the
following two conditions: (1) this device may not cause harmful interference, and (2)

commissioned in an appliance, before the said appliance (object) in which the linear
actuator is installed, has been declared to conform to the provisions of all the
relevant regulations.
Installation
1、Please make sure that the actuator or the control box connects to SMPS.

1. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and
persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of
experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards
involved.
2. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
3. Care must be taken when operating this equipment around other
electromagnetic equipment (such as HF device). Potential electromagnetic or

limoss linear actuators are not suitable for the following applications:
•Off-shore systems
•Marine applications
•In aeroplanes or other aircraft
•In potentially explosive areas
•In nuclear power stations

Transport, unpacking and storage

Keep the original packaging in order to ship the device if there should be a
guarantee case. Protect the device from severe mechanical stress during transport.
Always transport the device in the original packaging. The installed components are
sensitive to impact and strong vibration.
Proceed as follows to unpack the device:
We recommend inspecting the device for transport damage immediately after it is
delivered. Only acknowledge receipt with reservation (for example on the freight
document), if there is reason to suspect damage. Note the presumed damage on
the freight document and inform the manufacturer.
Carefully remove the packaging. If there is no appropriate agreement concerning
the take-back of packaging material, the packaging remains with the customer.
Environmentally responsible disposal must be ensured in accordance with applicable
disposal guidelines.
Caution –Condensation of water!
Condensation of water is possible due to temperature fluctuations. This can destroy
the device or subsequent malfunctions can result.
Therefore:
After storage or transport in cold weather, or if there are extreme temperature
fluctuations, the device must slowly adjust to the ambient temperature at the
implementation site before it is started up.
If condensation has formed, the device should only be placed in service after a
waiting period of 12 hours.
Attention!
The actuators are designed for use indoors.
Operating temperature: 0°C to 40°C, air humidity: 20 % to 80 %
Transportation and storage conditions: Temperature-20°C to 60°C, air humidity:
5 % to 95 %
Atmospheric pressure range of 76 kPa to 106 kPa
Actuators with special protection categories are labeled accordingly.

Servicing and maintenance
All components must be regularly checked visually for mechanical damages,
deterioration and for proper function. The control intervals should not exceed 6
months when motor is in regular use. The inside components do not need any
maintenance unless expressly recommended elsewhere.
Caution –Damage to finish of product!
- Do not use any detergents with solvents! Use a standard household cleaner,
suitable for plastic material!
- High levels of internal moisture can cause a short-circuit!
- Never clean with high-pressure cleaner!

Guarantee
The limoss guarantee applies to production-related faults and is valid from the date
of manufacture.
The date of manufacture can be found on the label. Further details regarding the
guarantee can be obtained from your limoss dealer.
The guarantee only extends to the value of the limoss product in question. The
limoss guarantee only applies if the equipment has been used for its intended
purpose and serviced properly.
No unauthorised alterations may be carried out. Improper handling, such as
knocking, hitting, or forcing, shall render all guarantees null and void.

Repairs
If faults should arise within the guarantee period, it is important that you send the
actuators in for repairs, since the guarantee becomes invalid if the actuators are
opened by un-authorized individuals. To avoid risks during subsequent use, all
repairs should be carried out by authorised service companies.
Interventions or modifications could lead to consequential damage.
You can also arrange with our service department for spare parts to be sent to you,
if necessary. In this case, please state the article number printed on the type plate.
Failure elimination
Analysis
In case of failure, try to solve the issue by testing following list of possible causes.
In case of other failure contact the supplier/shop.
Problem
Hand-control is energized/ Motor does not react.
Solution
1. Check the power cord of the furniture is properly plugged in.
2. Check the battery is properly installed.
3. If possible, unplug the furniture and replace battery of the hand-control, then
test again
4. If these test fail to help, contact the supplier / shop.

Disposal
Do not dispose of this product with the normal household waste!
This product must be disposed of properly as electronic waste in accordance with
the current disposal regulations of your district/country.
