NOTE 3 Setting burnback time
That dip-switch can enable operator to tune burnback
time . This is the time the arc power is delayed at the
stop of the weld, and should be set to the proper time
required to prevent the wire sticking in the weld.
In normal state, the adaptive burnback is used in
the machine. We don’t need to tune this parameter and
only use defaut value.
In some special applications, the burnback needs
to be adjusted. First, close the machine power. Set the
Dip switch S2-6 to “ON” position. The wire type switch
is set into “SOLID”. The gas type switch is set into
“CO2” position. Weld mode switch of 2/4 step is set to 2
step.
Power on the machine, the character of”b-b” is
displayed on the current meter. On the voltage meter, it
shows the burnback propotion value from -49 to +50.
In that time, we can adjust crator potentiometer to
change that value. The detailed value can be refered to
the following figure F6.
NOTE 4:Run-in Speed Setting
If we use the customer run-in function that the
DIP-SWITCH S1-3 is set into “OFF”, that run-in speed
can be adjusted according to the real procedure. The
range is from 10% to 50% of the preset speed matched
with the preset current. The adjustment procedure is as
follows. First, close the machine power. Set the Dip
switch S2-6 to “ON” position. The wire type switch is set
into “SOLID”. The gas type switch is set into “CO2”
position. Weld mode switch of 2/4 step is set to 2 step
Power on the machine, the character of”r-r” is
displayed on the current meter. On the voltage meter, it
shows the value from 10 to 50. In that time, we can
adjust crater voltage potentiometer to change that
value. If we adjust one proper value, flip 2/4 step
switch-(ON –OFF). That will make the data be saved. In
that time, the voltage meter displays the character of
“don”. The default value is “15”.
NOTE 5:ARC Start Voltage Offset Setting
ARC Start Voltage can be adjusted. First,
close the machine power. Set the Dip switch S2-6 to
“ON” position. The wire type switch is set into “FLUX
Cored”. The gas type switch is set into “MIX-GAS”
position. Weld mode switch of 2/4 step is set to 2 step
Power on the machine, the character of”U-U” is
displayed on the current meter. On the voltage meter, it
shows the value from -49 to +50. In that time, we can
adjust crater voltage potentiometer to change that
value. The detailed value can be refered to the
following figure F6. The real voltage is from -4.9V to
+5.0V. If we adjust one proper value, flip 2/4 step
switch(ON –OFF). That will make the data be saved. In
that time, the voltage meter display the character of
“don”. That value will be added on the original ARC
start voltage value. The default offset value is “0”.
