General information
Reading and storing the user manual
This user manual accompanies this double electric blanket (hereafter
referred to as the “blanket”), and contains important information on
setup and handling.
Before using the blanket, read the user manual carefully. This
particularly applies to the safety instructions. Failure to do so may result in personal
injury or damage to the blanket.
The user manual is based on the standards and rules in force in the European Union.
When abroad, you must also observe country-specific guidelines and laws.
Store the user manual for further use. Make sure to include this user manual when
passing the blanket on to third parties.
Explication of symbols
The following symbols and signal words are used in this user manual, on the blanket
or on the packaging.
WARNING!
This signal symbol/word designates a hazard with moderate risk, which may result in death
or severe injury if not avoided.
CAUTION!
This signal symbol/word designates a hazard with low risk, which may result in minor or
moderate injury if not avoided.
NOTICE!
This signal word warns of possible damage to property.
This symbol provides you with useful additional information on
handling and use.
Declaration of Conformity (see chapter “Declaration of Conformity”):
Products labelled with this symbol meet all applicable provisions of
the European Economic Area.
The symbol indicates that the construction of the product corresponds
to the protection class II (double insulation). A safety connection to the
electric ground is not necessary.

La The blanket is machine-washable. Set the washing machine to a gentle
washing program at 30°C.

processing stages.

Safety
Proper use
The blanket is exclusively designed for warming beds. It is only intended for private
use and not suitable for commercial purposes.
Only use the blanket as described in this user manual. Any other use is considered
improper and may result in damage to property or persons.
The manufacturer or vendor cannot be held liable for damages or injury incurred
through improper or incorrect use.
Safety instructions
IMPORTANT INSTRUCTION.
RETAIN FOR FUTURE USE.
WARNING!
Risk of electric shock!
A faulty electrical installation, excessive line voltage, or incorrect operation may result in
an electric shock.
-The blanket is not intended for use in hospitals.
-Only use the blanket indoors.
-Do not use if the blanket is wet.
-Do not use the blanket wet or in rooms with high humidity such as bathrooms etc.
-Only connect the blanket if the line voltage of the socket corresponds to the data on
the rating plate.
-Only connect the blanket to an easily accessible socket so that you can quickly
disconnect it from the power supply in the event of a problem.
-If the fuse link or thermal link has ruptured, the blanket shall be returned to the
manufacturer for repairing.
-If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service
agent or similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
-Avoid creasing the blanket.
-Examine the blanket frequently for signs of wear or damage. If there are such signs or if
the blanket has been misused, return it to the supplier prior to any further use.
-Do not insert needles in the blanket.
-Do not use the blanket if folded or rucked.
-Do not use a damaged blanket and disconnect it from the power supply immediately.
-Do not repair the blanket yourself, contact an authorised specialist. In order to avoid
hazards, only have defective power cables replaced with comparable cables by the
manufacturer, the customer service or similarly qualified people.
-Only use the blanket in conjuction with the supplied control unit.
-Do not open the housing; instead, have a qualified professional perform repairs.
Contact a qualified workshop for this. Liability and warranty claims are waived in the
event of repairs performed by the user, improper connection or incorrect operation.

-Only parts that comply with the original device data may be used for repairs. This
device contains electrical and mechanical parts which are essential for providing
protection against sources of danger.
-Do not use the blanket with an external timer or seperate remote control system.
-Do not immerse the control unit of the blanket or the supply cord in water or other
liquids.
-Never touch the plug with wet or damp hands.
-Do not pull the plug out of the socket by the cord; instead, always pull it out by the plug
itself.
-Never move, pull, or carry the blanket by its supply cord.
-Keep the blanket and supply cord away from open flames and hot surfaces.
-Lay the supply cord so that it does not pose a tripping hazard.
-Do not kink the supply cord and do not lay it over sharp edges.
-Do not place the blanket such that there is a risk of it falling into a tub or sink.
-Never reach to retrieve an electrical device if it has fallen into water. In such a case,
immediately disconnect the mains plug.
-Never insert any objects into the housing.
-Always switch the blanket off and unplug it when you are not using it, when you intend to
clean it, or in the event of a malfunction.
WARNING!
Danger for children and persons with impaired physical, sensory or mental capacities
(e.g. partially disabled persons, older persons with reduced physical and mental
capacities),or lack of experience and knowledge (e.g. older children).
-The blanket must not be used by infants, people who are unable to help
themselves or people insensitive to heat.
-Young children (0-3 years old) shall not use the blanket.
-The blanket must not be used by young children (under the age of eight) unless the
step switch (control unit) has been preset by a parent or guardian or the children
have been sufficiently instructed on how to operate the step switch safely.
-The blanket may be used by children from the age of eight and by people with
reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities or lack of knowledge and experience if
they are supervised or have been instructed on the safe use of the device and the
dangers which may result
-Cleaning and user maintenance must not be performed by children.
-Children may not play with the blanket.
-Do not leave the blanket unattended while in use.
-Make sure that children do not play with the plastic wrapping. They may get caught in it
when playing and suffocate.
WARNING!
Risk of injury!
Overlong application at high setting can result in skin burn.

-In case of continuous use, the blanket must only be set to a heat level between 1 and
3.
-If there is a possibility that the user will fall asleep when using the blanket, the
blanket must only be set to a heat level between 1 and 3.
NOTICE!
Risk of damage!
Improper handling of the blanket may result in damage to the
blanket.
-Never place the blanket on or near hot surfaces (e.g. stovetops, etc.).
-Ensure that the supply cord does not come into contact with hot parts.
-Never expose the blanket to high temperatures (heaters etc.) or to the effects of the
weather (rain etc.).
-Stop using the blanket if its plastic parts exhibit cracks or breaks or are deformed.
Only replace damaged parts with corresponding original spare parts.
-Ask your doctor and the manufacturer of your heart pacemaker before you use the
blanket. Under certain circumstances, the electrical and the magnetic fields emitted
from the blanket could interfere with the proper functioning if your heart pacemaker.
-Do not tuck the blanket under the mattress.
-Do not sharply bend the blanket.
-Do not cover the control unit or place it on the blanket when it is in use.
-If use on an adjustable bd, check that the blanket or cord cannot become trapped or
rucked.
-When not in use, store the blanket as indicated in the chapter “Storage”.
First use
Checking the blanket and package contents
NOTICE!
Risk of damage!
If you are not cautious when opening the packaging with a sharp knife or other pointed
object, you may quickly damage the blanket.
-For this reason, be very careful when opening the packaging.
1. Take the blanket out of the packaging and check whether it or any of the individual
parts are damaged. If this is the case, do not use the blanket. Contact the
manufacturer via the service address indicated on the warranty card.
2. Check to make sure that all components and accessories have been received
(see fig. A and B).

Making up the bed
1. Make sure that the plug-in connector of the power cord is connected with
the power connector of the blanket.
2. Starting at the foot end, spread out the blanket over the mattress so that the power
cord is approximately at the level of the shoulders (see fig. C).
The blanket should not reach the head area. Make sure that the blanket is completely
flat and is not rucked or folded.
3. If necessary, secure the blanket on the mattress with the tie tapes (see fig. D).
4. Place the bottom bed sheet as usual over the mattress so that the blanket lies
between the mattress and the bottom bed sheet.
Make sure that the power cord an the control unit of the blanket are running outside
the bed.
Operation
-There may be unusual smells during the first use. These are harmless and
will cease over he course of use.
-The blanket is equipped with a safety system which will automatically switch
the blanket off in the event of overheating.
Connecting to power
-Connect the power cord to a wall socket.
Once the blanket is powered, the display will briefly turn on and the indicator
light will then remain lit.
The blanket is now in the standby mode and ready for use.
Switching on
-Press the on/off button to switch on the blanket.
The blanket is set at the default heat level 4 (as seen on the display ) and will
automatically switch off after three hours without setting a timer.

Setting the heat level
-Press the temperature button to set the heat level.
You can select the following heat levels. The selected heat level will be shown on the
display .

Setting the timer
-Press the timer button to set the timer for automatic switch-off.
You can set the timer between 1 and 9 hours. For confirmation, the selected duration
will flash five times on the display before showing the current heat level.
The blanket will automatically switch off when the timer is up.
Switching off
1. Press the on/off button to switch the blanket off anytime.
The blanket will return to the standby mode and the indicator light will remain
lit.
2. Unplug the power cord to completely disconnect the blanket from power.
Cleaning
WARNING!
Risk of electric shock!
Improper handling of the blanket may result in electric shock.
-Unplug the blanket before each cleaning.
-Never switch the blanket on to dry.
-Only reconnect the power connector when the power connector and the blanket are
completely dry.
WARNING!
Burn hazard!
The blanket will get hot during operation and may cause injury.
-Let the blanket cool off completely before each cleaning.

NOTICE!
Risk of short circuit!
Water of other liquids that have penetrated the housing may cause a short circuit.
-Make sure that no water or other liquids penetrate the housing of the control unit.
-Never immerse the control unit in water or other liquids.
NOTICE!
Risk of damage!
Improper handling of the blanket may result in damage.
-Do not use any aggressive cleaners, brushes with metal or nylon bristles, or sharp or
metallic cleaning utensils such as knives, hard scrapers and the like. They may damage
the surfaces of the control unit.
-Do not put the control unit in the washing machine, as this will destroy it.
-Do not iron, bleach, tumble dry or chemically clean the blanket.
-Always refer to the care instructions on the product label.
-Do not frequently wash the blanket in washing machine. Hand-washing is
recommended to maximize the service life.
-Do not use any clothes pegs and the like to attach the blanket to a drying rack for
drying.
Cleaning the control unit
1. Unplug the power cord before cleaning.
2. Use a dry cloth to clean the control unit .
Cleaning the blanket

2. Remove the plug-in connector from the power connector (see fig. E).
3. Wash the blanket if necessary in a washing machine. Set the washing machine to a
gentle washing program at 30°C. Use a mild detergent and follow the instructions of the
manufacturer on the amount of detergent.
4. After cleaning, shape the blanket to its original shape and size and place it flat over
a drying rack to dry.
5. When the blanket and the power connector are completely dry, re-connect the
plug-in connector and power connector for use.
Storage
NOTICE!
Risk of damage!
Improper handling of the blanket may result in damage.
-Let the blanket cool down before storage.

-Do not sharply fold the blanket.
-Do not place heavy items on top of the blanket while it is being stored.
•Loosely fold the blanket and store it in a cool dry place.
•The original packaging is recommended for storage.

Disposal
Disposing of the packaging
Sort the packaging before you dispose it. Dispose of paperboard and cardboard
with the recycled paper service and wrappings with the appropriate collection
service.
Disposing of the blanket
(Applicable in the European Union and other European countries with seperate collection
systems of recyclable materials)
Old appliances may not be disposed of in the household waste!
Should the blanket no longer be capable of being used at some point in time,
dispose of it in accordance with the regulations in force in your city or country.
This ensures that old appliances are recycled in a professional manner and also rules
out negative consequences for the environment. For this reason, electrical equipment is
marked with the symbol shown here.

WARRANTY
Double Electric Blanket (DUB1UK)
For a period of 2 years from the date of purchase, we guarantee the remedy of
defects that are due to material and production faults free of charge by means of
exchange.
Warranty claims must be submitted immediately once the defect arises. Warranty
claims after expiration of the warranty period are excluded.
In case of a warranty, return the defective device to the service centre together with
the completed warranty slip, stating the reason for the complaint.
The warranty will be void in the case of improper or incorrect use, non-observance of
the information provided in the user manual for the device, brute force, force
majeure or any work on the device that was not carried out by our authorised
specialist shops.
