PREPARING FOR INSTALLATION
A) This shelf is not intended for installation in an aquarium.
B) Be sure to keep the power supply clear of the shelf during installation.
C) Do not make any physical changes to LiteShelf Inset before or after installation.
D) LiteShelf Inset is designed only for indoor installation.
E) Not following these instructions can result in personal physical injury, and will void the warranty.
INSTALLATION
A) Place LiteShelf Inset into position to check for fit.
B) Remove LiteShelf Inset, and plug the Power Supply into the wall
C) Clean mounting area with included alcohol wipes before installation EVEN IF IT LOOKS CLEAN.
D) Wait 2 minutes for the alcohol to evaporate.
E) Plug the power supply into LiteShelf Inset. The power jack is usually located on the left-rear of the shelf
approximately 3 inches in.
F) Remove red backer tape
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
When using an electrical furnishing, basic precautions should always be followed, including the
following:
Read all instructions before using (this furnishing).
DANGER - To reduce the risk of electric shock:
1. Always unplug this furnishing from the electrical outlet before cleaning.
WARNING - To reduce the risk of burns, fire, electric shock, or injury to persons:
1. Unplug from outlet before putting on or taking off parts.
2. Close supervision is necessary when this furnishing is used by, or near children, invalids, or
disabled persons.
3. Use this furnishing only for its intended use as described in these instructions. Do not use
attachments not recommended by the manufacturer.
4. Never operate this furnishing if it has a damaged cord or plug, if it is not working properly, if it has
been dropped or damaged, or dropped into water. Return the furnishing to a service center for
examination and repair.
5. Keep the cord away from heated surfaces.
6. Never operate the furnishing with the air openings blocked. Keep the air openings free of lint, hair,
and the like.
7. Never drop or insert any object into any opening.
8. Do not use outdoors.
9. Do not operate where aerosol (spray) products are being used or where oxygen is being
administered.
10. To disconnect, turn all controls to the off position, then remove plug from outlet.
WARNING: Risk of Electric Shock - Connect this furnishing to a properly grounded outlet.
To reduce the risk of electric shock, this furnishing may have a polarized plug (one blade is wider than
the other). This plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet,
reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician to install the proper outlet. Do not
change the plug in any way.
11. For loading always put heavier items at the bottom and not near the top in order to help prevent the
possibility of the furnishing tipping over.

G) Install LiteShelf Inset onto the cabinet being careful not to let the wire get pinched between the cabinet and
LiteShelf Inset.
H) Bond takes 24 hours to fully set. Please clamp LiteShelf Inset overnight.

Cleaning and Maintenance
CLEANING RECOMMENDATIONS FOR ACRYLIC SURFACES:
Wash Acrylic sheet with a mild soap or detergent and a lukewarm water solution. Use a clean soft cloth or sponge and as much
solution as possible. Rinse well. Dry by blotting with a damp cloth or chamois.
To remove tar, grease, paint, etc., use a good grade of naphtha or kerosene. Users of these solvents should become familiar with
their properties to handle them safely.
For fingerprints, wipe with soft CLEAN cloth lightly dampened with isopropyl alcohol.
Do not use, Window cleaning fluids, scouring compounds, gritty cloths, leaded or ethyl gasoline or solvents such as alcohol, acetone,
carbon tetrachloride, etc.
CLEANING RECOMMENDATIONS FOR LAMINATE SURFACES:
To clean the surface, use a damp cloth or sponge and a mild soap or detergent. Difficult stains such as coffee or tea can be removed
using a mild household cleaner/detergent and a soft bristled brush, repeating as necessary.
If a stain persists, use a paste of baking soda and water and apply with a soft bristled brush. Light scrubbing for 10 to 20 strokes
should remove most stains. Although baking soda is a low abrasive, excessive scrubbing or exerting too much force could damage
the decorative surface, especially if it has a gloss finish.
Stubborn stains that resist any of the above cleaning methods may require the use of undiluted household bleach or nail polish
remover. Apply the bleach or nail polish remover to the stain and let stand no longer than two minutes. Rinse thoroughly with warm
water and wipe dry. This step may be repeated if the stain appears to be going away and the color of the laminate has not been
affected. WARNING: Prolonged exposure of the laminate surface to bleach will cause discoloration.
A Few Notes of Caution
• Acidic or abrasive cleaners can damage laminate surfaces; do not use them.
• Drain cleaners containing lye will permanently damage any Laminate surface. If you spill a drain cleaner, wipe it up immediately
and rinse several times with water.
• Hair, textile and food dyes can cause permanent stains. If dye should happen to spill, wipe it up immediately with dishwashing
detergent or an all-purpose cleaner.
• Never place pots or dishes directly from the oven or burner on an unprotected laminate surface; such extreme heat can cause
cracking or blistering.
• Do not work with oven cleaners on an, unprotected countertop. Wipe spills away promptly and rinse several times with water.
• Rust removers contain harsh chemicals which will quickly cause permanent damage. If a spill occurs, wipe off all residue
immediately, wash thoroughly with soapy water and rinse several times.
• Steel wool and other abrasive pads will damage Laminate. Don’t use them for cleaning and don’t store steel wool pads on your
countertop; the metal can rust and leave stains.
• Toilet bowl cleaners contain harsh chemicals that can cause permanent damage. If spills occur, wipe up immediately, wash surface
with soapy water and blot rinse with a damp cloth several times.
