INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS SUPPLEMENT
FI OPTION-FIRE ALARM FLASHING INTERFACE

3. Before wiring to power supply, turn off electricity at fuse or circuit
breaker.

SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS
INSTALLATION
1.Follow installation instructions provided with exit fixture, but
for all wiring connections refer to wiring diagrams Fig. A,
Fig. B, Fig. C, or Fig. D.
2. From F.I. Board connect fire alarm input wiring as follows:
NOTE: This exit fixture is provided with a FIRE ALARM
(FLASHER) interface to be cycled on and off by an external fire
alarm control panel and is intended for installations where
permitted by local codes.
FLASH RATE: 66 CPM
DUTYCYCLE: 50/50
INSPECTION
1. Normal Operation: When unit is functioning properly,
with A.C. power supplied, the green ready light and lamps
will be continuously illuminated.
2. Fire Alarm Operation: When fire alarm system
(24VDC) Is engaged the lamps will flash approximately
once per second.
Blue lead: Common
Red/white lead: 24V D.C.

INSTALLATION
1. Refer to IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS (opposite side)
before proceeding.
2.Follow installation instructions provided with exit fixture, but
for all wiring connections refer to wiring diagrams Fig. E,
Fig. F, Fig. G, or Fig. H.
NOTE: This exit is provided with a FLASHER and is
intended for installation in locations where permitted by local
codes.
FLASH RATE: 66 CPM
DUTYCYCLE:50/50
INSPECTION
1. NOTE: Emergency lighting systems should be tested as
often as local codes require, or at least monthly to acertain
that all componants are operational.
2. Normal Operation: When unit is functioning properly,
with A.C. power supplied, the green ready light and lamp
will be on.
3. To Test "F" Option: Actuate "Test" switch. green ready
light will go out and lamp should flash in D.C. mode.
