ADULT ASSEMBLY REQUIRED.
WARNING:
Failure to comply with the manufacturer's instructions can lead to
serious injury or death of the passenger/rider!
• This package contains small parts. Keep away from children
until assembled.
• Never leave child unattended in the trailer.
• Trailer designed for a maximum of 2 passengers. Ages 1 - 5 yrs.
• Maximum weight limit: 100 lbs. (45 kg). Maximum weight per
child: 50 lbs. (23 kg).
• Excessive weight may cause a hazardous unstable condition to
exist.
• Unstable hazardous conditions may exist if package carrying
accessories are added onto the product.
• Make no modifications to the trailer.
• Caution: do not install a car seat or any other seating device
inside the trailer. (The only seat approved for use with a trailer
is that provided by the manufacturer at the time of sale of the
product.)
• Do not allow any of the child's body, clothing, shoe laces or
toys to come in contact with moving parts. Shoes must be worn
at all times.
• When no child is being carried, fasten the retention system
(harness) buckles so the straps do not hang loosely.
• WARNING! Avoid serious injury. Always use seat belt.
• Passengers must wear ASTM & ANSI F1447 approved bike
helmets.
• A reflector that complies with CPSC regulations must be
visible on the rear of the trailer at a minimum.
• Before each ride, ensure the attached trailer does not interfere
with braking, pedaling or steering of the bicycle.
• Do not use the trailer at night.
• Do not use to transport pets.
• Protect your eyes. Always wear safety glasses when using a
hammer.
PRE-RIDE SAFETY PRECAUTIONS:
• Before using the trailer, have the bicycle undergo a safety
check by a certified bicycle mechanic.
• Please be sure to read the following safety guidelines
thoroughly prior to using the trailer.
Be sure that trailer is assembled according to the instructions.
Be sure that the hitch and its safety strap are properly attached
to the bicycle.
Be sure that the wheel locking pins on both rear wheels are
securely seated.
Inflate tires to 30 - 35 P.S.I. and check pressure before each
use.
Be sure that the safety flag is in place on the trailer.
Maximum weight limit of children and cargo is 100 lbs. (45
kg). Do not overload the trailer. When placing children or cargo
into the trailer, keep the load low and centered making certain that
the items cannot shift around. Parcels or accessory items, or both,
placed on the unit may cause the unit to become unstable.
The trailer is only intended for children capable of sitting and
holding their heads upright by themselves.
Passengers must wear ASTM and ANSI approved bike
helmets.
Passengers must be secured properly by the trailer restraint
system as illustrated in the instructions. Please note: the placement
of a single child in the trailer is different from that of two children
in the trailer. Refer to the restraint system illustrations for details.
The canopy screen and rear screen must be completely zipped
shut.
Inspect the hitch and child restrain system often.
Repair or replace any worn out or damaged parts of the trailer
and canopy.
IN-USE SAFETY PRECAUTIONS:
Do not travel faster than 15 mph (25 kph). Approach turns at 5
mph (8 kph) or less.
Due to the trailer’s additional weight, a bicycle pulling a trailer
will be slower to start up and stop. The bicycle with trailer
attached will be slower to maneuver and heavier. It will take more
time to cross streets due to the additional length. Ride defensively.
The trailer will be wider than the bicycle. Take this difference into
consideration when turning, passing pedestrians, other bicycles
and obstacles. Take the time to become familiar with a loaded
trailer on your bicycle. A bicycle with a trailer attached will have a
longer braking distance than a bicycle alone.
Approach turns and road irregularities slowly and with great
caution.
Do not hit holes or other obstructions in the road. Do not pull
the trailer over curbs.
Respect road and weather conditions. Be careful in wet and
rainy conditions. Sudden braking under such conditions can cause
skidding.
Do not ride over slippery surfaces. Walk your bike and trailer
over sand, gravel, oil and other slick surfaces.
Do not use the trailer at night.
Do not use the trailer in temperatures below 32ºF/0ºC. The
flexible hitch connector can possibly break, causing an accident
which could result in serious injury.
Instruct children not to lean or bounce.
Do not use the trailer with headphones or other distractions.
You need to be an experienced cyclist. You need to be fit, alert and
have good hearing and sight. Never allow anyone but an adult to
pull the trailer.
Remove children and cargo before detaching the trailer from
the bike or when converting the trailer to a jogger.
Never take the trailer/jogger on escalators.
CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS:
• Clean the Trailer/Jogger using warm soapy water and a damp
cloth. Allow to dry thoroughly before folding Trailer/Jogger for
storage.
DISASSEMBLY AND STORAGE:
To properly remove the trailer from the bicycle, follow
illustrations 7 & 8 in the “Converting to bike trailer” section of the
instructions.
Remove trailer from the bicycle when not in use.
Do not store the trailer in temperatures below 0oC/32oF.
When not in use, the trailer should be stored out of the sunlight
in a well ventilated, dry area.
