6. ADDITIONAL FASTENING
7. CHECK OPERATION OF LOCK
• Select the correct fixing screws
based on diagram
• Place Base assembly on door
lining up the mounting holes and
Locking bar
• Fasten screws into the bosses
on the Outside cover. Tighten
evenly ensuring the lock stays
plum
• If the mounting surface between
the door and the door frame is
more than 4mm you will need to
use the spacer
• Determine which
cover you are going to
use - euclid full or
euclid slim
• Insert Cylinder into
Cover (it can only fit
one way)
• Open the door and
withdraw the locking
hooks in the Base
assembly
• Place the Cover over
the assembly - push
back on the spring
loaded ‘anti-slam’
safety device with a
screw driver to seat
the Cover correctly
• Fasten down the cover
using the two provided
25mm CSK plastic
screws. WARNING:
Do not over tighten
• With the door fully closed, place the Strike base on the door frame and
mate up to Base assembly - locating the tabs as shown
• Back off the Strike base from the Base assembly approximately 2mm
as shown
• Mark hole centres in the midle of the two mounting slots on the Strike
base, or simply drill a 3mm pilot hole while holding in place
• Fasten down the Strike base with the provided 20mm pan-flange self
drilling screws
• Attach Strike cover with provided 5mm CSK taptite screw
• Check to see if the lock is fastened well. A small
amount of ‘freeplay’ is nessecary for the lock to
operate but if there is excesive ‘slop’ in the
directions illustrated you may wish to use the
additional fastening locations
• Remove the Cover and Cylinder
• Slide the lock into the locked position with locking
hooks extended - this reveals the addtional two
fastening holes that can be used
• Screw through the Base assembly and into the
door frame (using the provided countersunk, self
drilling M5 screws). WARNING: Do not over
tighten - hand tightening recomended
• Unlock and lock using snib lever - check for smooth operation and that the locking
hooks engage correctly
• Unlock and lock using the key from the inside and the outside. Try locking from the
inside using snib lever and then unlocking from outside using key
• If the lock is not operating as it should, try adjusting the position of the Strike
assembly. If it is something else, please free phone LockFocus on 1800 687 116
• Create Strike assembly by attaching
the Strike cover to the Strike base
with the provided 5mm CSK taptite
screw as shown
• With the door fully closed, place the
Strike assembly over the locating lugs
on the Base assembly and press
firmly against door
• Mark a line on the door frame along
the top edge of the Strike assembly
making sure it is level (‘Z’). Mark
another line above and below the
Strike assembly along the edge where
the door meets the frame (’Y’)
• Pre-drill two 3mm pilot holes through
the two diecast mounting tabs at the
back of the Strike assembly as shown
in the diagram. Drill through Strike
cover as well - it is critical for fitment
that these holes line up well
• With the door open, place the Strike
assembly on the door frame so that it
falls in the lines drawn on the frame
• Fasten down Strike assembly through
pilot holes with provided 20mm
pan-flange self drilling screws
