Installation of 4-way solenoid valve to mounted air applicator
Note: First determine the best location for the solenoid valve keeping in mind the hose
location and the mounting of the air applicator. Maintain some distance between
solenoid valve and heated applicator body to reduce heat radiation.
1. If position of the dispense valve is not optimum, the back portion of the
applicator can be rotated in any of four positions. Remove the screws evenly
and rotate the body section to the desired position and re-install the four
screws. Use care not to bind the body as this may cause damage to the needle.
2. (A) Place the compression nuts and sleeves over the two aluminum tubes and
insert between the applicator head and air solenoid valve (4 places). Tighten
the compression nuts using two ½” open end wrenches until snug.
TIP: When bending the tubing to fit the location, try to form over the side of
your hand, as the tubing will kink easily if just bent.
3. (B) Align and connect the solenoid valve electrical connector to the mounted
air applicator electrical connector. Rotate the locking nut fully to make
connection.
4. Connect a filtered, regulated air supply line to the solenoid valve inlet port.
