Installation Steps
Before Hardware Installation
Prior to the hardware installation, it is best to power up the camera on the bench and connect it to
the Zigbee network. Doing it this way will make things easier and the settings will be remembered
when the device is powered up again after the install.
1) Power up the camera using a DC 12V power supply (not supplied). The Status Indicator light
on the front will flash green while it is starting up and turn to a slow flash once it’s ready to
connect to the network.
Note: If the Status Indicator flashes red, it means that the network connection failed.
2) Unscrew the back cover of the camera to reveal the QR code and perform an Add Device in
the mobile app, selecting the category Camera and the device name Weather-Proof HD
Camera. Follow the instructions in the mobile app to add the device to the network.
(See Adding the Device to the Smart Home Network section below).

3) If you have a Micro SD card, you can insert this at the same time.
4) Once the device has connected to the network, you can screw the back cover back on and
disconnect the camera from the supply. The settings will be retained once it’s powered up
again.
The camera is now ready for hardware installation.
Hardware Installation
1) Using the supplied template, mark out and drill the 4 holes for the camera base, using a
4mm drill bit.
2) Insert the wall plugs and screw in the camera. Rotate the camera to get access to the top
screw holes and screw to the wall. Do the same for the bottom screws.

6
3) Once attached, you can make adjustments to the camera angle by rotating the tightening
the knob on the base and by using a hex key to loosen the neck allowing pitch adjustment.
4) Once done, you can wire up the camera according to the wiring diagram.
You can power the camera in two ways:
a) Power directly via the DC 12V port, or
b) Use PoE via an ethernet cable (PoE Injector required. Not supplied).
The preferred method is to power via PoE as this affords the simplest solution in terms of
wiring and offers a more robust connection for video transfer.
Adding the Device to the Smart Home Network

Waterproof Treatment
Network Cable
The camera’s network port has a waterproof design. To create a waterproof tight seal for the cable
that connects to the network port, follow the procedure outlined here.
1) Cut off the network cable’s RJ45 plug and pass the cable through the waterproof cap and
body.
2) Connect the RJ45 plug back onto the cable and place the rubber gasket onto the camera’s
network port.
3) Plug the network cable into the camera’s network port, fix the waterproof body onto the
network interface and then screw on the waterproof cap.
4) For increased protection, you can wrap some butyl tape around the waterproof body if
required.
Audio and Power Ports
The audio and power connectors on the cable are not waterproof. These need to be wrapped in
butyl tape to offer protection.
1) Connect your audio/power cables to their respective connectors on the camera connectors.
2) Wrap butyl tape around the connectors, making sure that more than half of the tape
overlaps as you wrap the tape. Make sure you wrap enough of the wire around the
connector to stop any water seeping in. These points are marked A on the diagram below.

8
Safety Precautions
•The wall that the camera is mounted on must be able to withstand more than 5 times
the weight of the camera.
•The camera is waterproof and conforms to the IP66 specification, but the interface to
the external cable is not waterproof. Please follow the instructions in the Waterproof
Treatment section to prevent any damage to the cables.
•The device must be installed by a qualified electrician.
•Do not disassemble or refit this product or its accessories.
•The device should be mounted in a dry environment. It is not designed to be used
outdoors.
