Getting Ready
1. Insert the fo r AAA alkaline camera batteries.
2. Insert the Smart Media
™
memory card into the memory
card slot. P sh the card all the way in and close the door.
(To remove the memory card, open the door and press
on the card to eject it.)
3. Install the Logitech
®
camera software sing
yo r comp ter’s CD-ROM drive. Follow the on-screen
instr ctions.
Taking Pictures and Videos
1. Press and hold the On/off b tton for one second
to t rn on the camera. The camera is ready to take
a digital pict re.
2. To change any of the camera’s options (e.g., camera
mode, resol tion, timer, etc.), cycle thro gh the options
on the stat s display by pressing the Mode b tton.
The icon of the active option will flash. Change it by
pressing the Select b tton.
3. When not in se, the camera t rns itself off after
60 seconds to conserve battery power.
4. To switch the camera off, press and hold the On/
off b tton for one second.

Getting Your Pictures and Videos into the Computer
1. T rn on yo r comp ter, then place
the camera on its stand.
2. Open the cover protecting the USB
connector on the camera.
Pl g the USB cable into the camera,
then pl g the other end into a USB port
on yo r comp ter.
3. Press the Q ickSync b tton on
the camera to display the Q ickSync
window on yo r comp ter screen.
From here yo can:
• Transfer all yo r images to the Gallery
in yo r comp ter. After the transfer,
the pict res in the camera are deleted
a tomatically.
• Delete all the pict res in yo r camera
witho t transferring them.
• Cancel and neither download
nor delete yo r in-camera pict res.

Sharing Your Pictures and Videos
1. Download yo r pict res to the comp ter
(see “Getting Yo r Pict res and Videos into
the Comp ter”).
2. If the Logitech

camera software is not la nched,
click the Logitech

camera software icon located

the software.
3. To e-mail a photo or video, se the “Attach to
an E-mail” b tton in the Gallery section.

Using the Camera as a Web Camera
With yo r camera and software, do video calling,
video e-mail, or live video broadcasting on the Internet
right from yo r PC.
Simply connect the camera to yo r PC , and place
the camera on yo r comp ter monitor or yo r desktop.

Warnings!
• Don’t expose the camera to extremes of cold or heat.
Operating temperat re is between 32° to 104° F

• Don’t immerse the camera in water.

• Use the lens cap to protect the lens when yo are
not taking pict res.
• When inserting the Smart Media
™
memory card
into the camera, don’t to ch the metal contacts on
the card.
• Use only Smart Media
™
memory cards.
• Discard sed batteries according to
the man fact rer’s instr ctions.
• Remember that when the camera is set to a to-flash
or fill-in flash, the camera batteries are drained
more q ickly.

Tips for Taking Great Pictures and Videos
• Fill the viewfinder with yo r s bject and hold the camera steady for extra time
to prevent bl rry images.
• Make s re yo r s bject fits within the crop marks in the viewfinder.
• There are two foc sing ranges. For near s bjects less than three feet (90 cm)
away, set the foc sing ring to the “man” icon. For distant s bjects,
set the foc sing ring to the “mo ntain” icon.
• Avoid s bjects of extreme contrast that have both deep shadows and harsh
highlights (e.g., when the s n is directly behind yo r s bject).
• Avoid taking videos in very dim light; yo r video will be too dark.
• For bright, overhead lighting se the fill-in flash feat re (e.g., taking a portrait
when the s n is directly over yo r s bject).
• In dim light, the low light indicator nderneath the viewfinder will t rn on.
Consider sing the flash feat re.
• When yo t rn on the flash, the low light indicator becomes the flash
charging indicator. It will blink to let yo know that the flash is charging.
Wait ntil the indicator has t rned a solid red before taking a pict re.

Operaciones preliminares

Transferir fotografías y vídeos al ordenador

• Proc re q e el s jeto aparezca entero en el visor y mantenga firme la cámara d rante más tiempo,
