Wi‐Finetworkthatyouaretryingtoextend.Moveyour
Range
ExtenderclosertotheWi‐Finetworkthatyouare
tryingto
extendandtapRescantoscanagain.
TheScanresultspagewilldisplayinformationregardingthenameofthenetwork(SSID),thechannelwhich
the
Wi‐Finetworkisoperatingonandthesecuritytypeofthenetwork.Theresultspagewillalsodisplay
whatthe
signalstrengthisofeverynetworkdetected.
ConnectingtoaSecureNetwork
IftheWi‐FinetworkyouaretryingtoextendhasWi‐Fi
security
enabled,youwillbepromptedtoenteraSecurity
Key.Ifyou
don’tselectasecurenetwork,youwillnotsee
thispage.
Enterthesecuritykeyinthespaceprovided.Youdonot
need
toselectwhattypeofsecurityitis,justsimplytypein
thekey
andtapNext.
TheWizardwillautomaticallydetectyourhomenetwork’ssecuritysettings.Ifyoudonotknowthekeytothe
networkyouaretryingtoextend,thentaptheBackarrow
toselectanothernetwork.
ExtendedNetworkSettings
ThedefaultSSIDoftheRangeExtender’sExtendedNetwork
is“Loopcomm”.
IfyouchoosetoClonethesettingsfromyourHome
Network,thewizardwillcopytheSSIDandSecurityKey
of
yourHomeNetwork.
TheSSIDoftheExtendedNetworkwillhavea"_RE"atthe
endofitsname.Forexample:Home_Network_RE.
YoucanalsomanuallyenteranewnetworkIDand
security
key.Thenewsecuritykeymustbeatleast8
characterslong.

Timeout:Whenthetouchscreenisinactivepastthedurationofthe
Timeouttime(inseconds),itwillturnofftoconservepower.
LockPasscode:Youcanturnonascreenthathasturnedoffsimply
by
touchingthescreen.TheLockPasscodeisa4digitsecuritycode
used
tosecureaccesstothescreen.IfthePasscodeisincorrect,
theTouch
ScreenMenuwillnotappear. (Note:Ifyouforgetyour

ExtendedWi‐FiNetworkSettings:Thisshowsthecurrentsettingsfor

ExtendedWi‐FiNetwork.TheIPsettingsforyourRangeExtender
willchangeasyouconnectanddisconnectfromyourHomeNetwork.
WhenconnectedtoyourHomeNetwork,the
networkIPsettingswill
beassignedbyyourHomeNetwork.Whennotconnected,theRange
Extenderwilluse

usedbyLoopcommtechstohelptroubleshootyourRangeExtenderwhenneeded.
Itisrecommendedthatyouenablealllogsintheeventthattroubleshootingisrequired.Alllogentriesare
deletedeachtimetheRangeExtenderrebootsorispoweredoff.

UpgradeFirmware
Loopcommcontinuouslyupdatesthefirmwareforallproductsin
an
efforttoconstantlyimproveourproductsandtheiruser
experiences.WhenconnectedtoanactiveconnectionwithInternet
access,theRangeExtendercanautomaticallycheckfornew
firmware
updatesthatareavailablebytappingCheckforUpdates.
Followthe
promptstocompletetheupgradeprocess.
Beforeupgradingthefirmware,remembertoalwayssaveyour
currentsettingsfirstbygoingtoSave/ReloadSettingsviatheweb
menu.Thefirmwareupgradeprocesswill
resetthesettingsoftheRangeExtendertodefaultsettings.
