•Please retain proof of purchase and evidence of installation by a licensed electrician for any warranty enquiries.
•Warranty will be void if there is any damage due to improper usage or modification to the Electronic Dimmer.
•Failure to comply with the instructions in this manual may increase the risk of damage or injury and will void warranty.
Installation Requirements
•Must be installed by a licensed electrician and in accordance to AS/NZS3000 (the latest edition).
•This LEDlux LED Dimmer is designed for use with LEDlux brand family dimmable LED lighting equipment.
Where the loads are on the same electrical circuit, it must be Mains 240V dimmable LED retrofit luminaries
which have a dimmable LED driver. (Note: A dimmable electronic transformer is not considered to be a
dimmable LED Driver).
•Problems encountered when using other types of dimmable 240V luminaires NOT recommended in this
installation guideline are NOT covered by the Lucci LEDlux guarantee.
•Do not exceed the rated output load listed below:
- For Mains 240V LEDlux dimmable LED globes and downlights: Max. 200W;
- For Mains Halogen globes: Max. 200W;
- ELV halogen with dimmable transformer: Max. 200W
•Not suitable for use with ferromagnetic transformers.
•Do not exceed rated power input specification.
•This product is suitable for indoor use only.
Installation Preparation
Before carrying out the installation the following must be considered.
-Wall plate or wall mounting box (not supplied) will be required for installation pending on where the dimmer will be
located e.g. behind a wall or surface mounted.
-A wall switch is required (not supplied) when using with this dimmer to provide ON/OFF and isolation to the
electrical lighting equipment circuit. The dimmer MUST not be used as an ON/OFF switching device. Only use as
a dimmer.
-Ensure the power to the electrical circuit is switched OFF.
-All electrical wiring connection & disconnection must be in accordance with Australian & New Zealand wiring rules
e.g. AS/NZS 3000 (the latest edition).
CAUTION: For your safety, this LEDlux LED electronic dimmer must be installed by a licensed electrician.

Installation Directions
WARNING – HIGH VOLTAGE
-For your safety: Power to the circuit must be disconnected or switched off.
-Household power can cause SERIOUS INJURY or DEATH.
-
Wiring must meet all local and national electrical wiring codes.
MAKING THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS (see Fig.1)
1. Disconnect electrical power from the working circuit.
2. Connect 240V ~ mains L to Lof the dimmer.
3. Connect of the dimmer to the LOAD.
4. Connect the LOAD N to the 240V~ mains N.
5. Optional - adjust the variable resistor to optimize the dimming range for the connected LED LOAD.
(Note: More LED type LOADs can be connected in series, up to the maximum allowable per LOAD type outline in
the “installation requirements” section of this manual.)
Note: An isolation wall switch must be included in the wiring installation. The switch allows disconnecting of
the dimmer and loads from the mains 240VAC power during maintenance and cleaning of the LED lighting
equipment.

Variable
Resistor
NOTE: The Variable Resistor on the LEDlux LED Dimmer allows correcting
and maximizing dimming range when using the LEDlux Dimmable LED
product range from Beacon Lighting. Turn clockwise to reduce the lowest
dimming level, turn anti-clockwise to increase the lowest dimming level.

Trouble shooting
SYMPTOMS PROBABLE CAUSES SUGGESTED REMEDY
1. The dimmer is not
operating.
The Switch on the dimmer circuit
has been turned OFF.
1) Check the switch to the dimmer circuit and
switch ON.
Mains power is not restored to
lighting circuit & dimmer.
1) Replace the fuse or turn ON circuit breaker at
the switchbox.
2. The Lamps /
Luminaires flickers when
dimmer is at maximum or
minimum.
The LEDlux LED load does not
receive enough electrical
voltage/current because: 1)
Minimum/Maximum loading on
the dimmer circuit is not met,
and flickering can occur while
dimming at minimum or
maximum.
Increase/remove the loading by
adding/removing more LEDlux LED product
onto the same dimming circuit, so that the
dimmer load is within specification. Refer to
technical specification.
2) At minimum setting the
dimmer circuit provides very little
voltage/current.
Adjust the variable resistor on the LED dimmer,
to adjust the voltage/current input into the
dimming circuit until the LED stops flickering.
This may reduce the dimming range, but offer
LED light performance stability. Note: This task
can only be performed by a licensed electrician.
3. Dimming range is not
good. Cannot dim LED
load to 0% / zero light.
All LEDlux dimmable LED
drivers are different in
specification. The LEDlux
dimmer has a variable resistor to
adjust the input voltage/current
into the dimming circuit with the
variable resistor which can allow
dimming to 0%, or near 0%.
Adjust the variable resistor. This will improve
the dimming range to zero or near zero LED
light output of the dimmable LED luminaire. LED
performance may reduce slightly; however, the
dimming range is improved. Note: This task can
only be performed by a licensed electrician.
Compatibility issues - other
dimmable LED drivers may not
be compatible to dim to near
zero.
Adjust the variable resistor. This will improve
the dimming range, however, may not achieve
zero % dimming.
LED performance may reduce slightly; however,
the dimming range is improved. Note: This task
can only be performed by a licensed electrician.
