Before you begin…
Intended use
The machine is intended for scarifying (removal of
moss and shallow rooted weed growth) from lawn
surfaces in private properties and recreational gar-
dens.
This product is not intended for commercial use.
Generally acknowledged accident prevention regu-
lations and enclosed safety instructions must be
observed.
Only perform work described in these instructions for
use. Any other use is improper. The manufacturer will
not assume responsibility for damage resulting from
such use.
What are the meanings of the symbols used?
Danger notices and information are clearly marked
throughout these instructions for use. The following
symbols are used:

For your safety
General safety instructions
• To operate this device safely, the user must have
read and understood these instructions for use
before using the device for the first time.
• Observe all safety instructions! Failure to do so
may cause harm to you and others.
• Retain all instructions for use, and safety instruc-
tions for future reference.
• If you sell or pass the device on, you must also
hand over these operating instructions.
• The device must only be used when it functions
properly. If the device or part of the device is
defective, have it repaired by a specialist.
• Never use the device in a room where there is a
danger of explosion or in the vicinity of flamma-
ble liquids or gases.
• Danger of suffocation caused by exhaust fumes!
Starting the motor and using the device inside
closed rooms is prohibited.
• The motor should be switched off:
– whenever you leave the machine unattended
– before you refill it
• When the motor is switched off, close the throt-
tle. If the machine has a petrol feed tap, this
should be closed when you finish working.
• Never store the unit with fuel in the tank inside a
building in which fuel vapours may come into
contact with naked flames or sparks or may
inflame.
• Always allow the motor to cool down before put-
ting the unit into a close space.
• To prevent risks of fire, ensure that both the
motor and the exhaust are free of plant materials
or leaking grease (oil).
• Always ensure that a device which has been
switched off cannot be restarted unintentionally.
• Do not use devices with an on/off switch that
does not function correctly.
• Keep children away from the device! Keep the
device out of the way of children and other unau-
thorised persons.
• Do not overload the device. Do not use the
device for purposes for which it is not intended.
• Make sure to always wear the required personal
protective equipment.
• Exercise caution and only work when in good
condition: If you are tired, ill, if you have ingested
alcohol, medication or illegal drugs, do not use
the device, as you are not in a condition to use it
safely.
• This product is not intended to be used by per-
sons (including children) or who are limited in
their physical, sensory or mental capacities or
who lack experience and/or knowledge of the
product unless they are supervised, or have
been instructed on how to use the product, by a
person responsible for their safety.

• Ensure that children are not able to play with the
device.
• Always comply with all applicable domestic and
international safety, health, and working regula-
tions.
Risks caused by vibrations
The vibration values specified in the technical data
represent the main uses of the device. The actual
existing vibrations during use may deviate from
these as a result of the following factors:
• Incorrect use of the product;
• Unsuitable tools inserted;
• Unsuitable material;
• Insufficient maintenance.
You can reduce the risks considerably by following
the tips below:
– Maintain the device in accordance with the
instructions in the operating instructions.
– Avoid working at low temperatures.
– When it is cold, make sure your body and your
hands, in particular, are kept warm.
– Take regular breaks and move your hands at the
same time to promote circulation.
Concerning the use of fuels
Fuels are inflammable and explosive. Reduce the
risk of explosion and fire as follows:
• Turn off and cool the motor down before filling
the tank with fuel.
• Refrain from smoking and starting open fires
when handling fuels.
• Store and mix fuels in approved and corre-
spondingly labelled canisters.
• Store fuels in closed containers. Keep in mind
that fuels may also evaporate at room tempera-
ture and collect on the floor of closed rooms(risk
of explosion).
• Do not open the tank lid or refill with petrol when
the motor is running or even when it is hot.
• If petrol is spilled, do not attempt to start the
motor.
• Start the machine at least nine metres away from
the fuelling location.
• If you need to empty the tank, do so out in the
open.
Fuels are toxic! They contain substances that
have an immediate toxic effect and may also
cause permanent damage to your health. Take all
precautionary measures to prevent your body
from absorbing any of these substances:
• Tank and siphon fuels only outdoors or in well-
ventilated rooms.
• Do not inhale fuel fumes.
• Avoid contact with eyes and skin. If contact
occurs, thoroughly rinse with water. If contact
with eyes occurs, seek immediate medical atten-
tion.
• Wear gloves when transferring fuel.
• When fuel has come into contact with your
clothes, change them immediately. Clean your
clothes before putting them back on.
• Store fuels out of the reach of children.
When handled inappropriately, fuels may cause
damage to the environment:
• Use caution when siphoning fuels. Fuel must
never seep into the ground or the sewage sys-
tem.
• Dispose of any remaining fuel in an appropriate
manner. Never dispose of fuel with regular
household waste.
• Fuels may be stored only for a limited time.
Never buy more fuel than you plan on consuming
within the next few months.
Maintenance
• Before conducting any maintenance on the
device, always set the ignition switch to[0] and
pull the ignition cable plug.
• Check the fuel system regularly for leaks or
defective parts.
• Only those maintenance and fault elimination
tasks described here may be carried out. Any
other tasks must be completed by a specialist.
• Only use original replacement parts. Only these
replacement parts are designed and suitable for
the device. Other replacement parts will not only
lead to an invalidation of the warranty, they may
also endanger you and your environment.
Device-specific safety instructions
• Young adults under 16 as well as users who are
not sufficiently familiar with its operation may not
operate this machine.
• Regularly check that all threaded connections
are tight.
• Always keep the connecting lead out of the
machine’s working area. Guide the mains cable
backwards away from the machine.
• Ensure a secure and natural stance when work-
ing with the machine.
• Always hold the machine with both hands.
• Before starting work, always check the ground
and remove all objects which could be thrown by
the machine.
• Always maintain a sufficient distance from the
working (de-thatching) roller.
• Guide the de-thatcher only at walking pace.
• Work only under good conditions of light and
visibility.
• The user must wear tightly fitting clothing. Avoid
loose clothing. Wear robust footwear and long
work trousers.
• Make sure that no other people or animals are
close to the working area.
• When changing direction on a slope, be espe-
cially careful.
CAUTION! Risk of injury due to vibra-
tions! Vibrations may, in particular for per-
sons with circulation problems, cause dam-
age to blood vessels and/or nerves.
If you notice any of the following symp-
toms, stop working immediately and con-
sult a doctor. Numbness of body parts, loss
of sense of feeling, itching, pins and nee-
dles, pain, changes in skin colour.

• Pay attention when walking backwards. Danger
of stumbling!
• Pay attention to local regulations for rest peri-
ods.
• Remember that moving parts may also be
located behind ventilation and venting slots.
• Symbols affixed to your tools may not be
removed or covered. Information on the device
that is no longer legible must be replaced imme-
diately.

Assembly
Mounting the handle
►P.4, item3
– Position the bottom part of the handle bar(6)
into the locators on the product and push
through the carriage bolts(21).
– Position the toggle nuts(22) and tighten.
– Position the middle part of the handle bar(3)
onto the bottom part of the handle bar and push
through the carriage bolts(21).
– Position the toggle nuts(22) and tighten.

– Position the handle bar(10) onto the middle part
of the handle bar and push through the carriage
bolts(23).
– Position the toggle nuts(24) and tighten.
Observe the safety instructions before us-

– Attach the pull starter (16) to the pull starter
holder (9) as illustrated.
– Affix Bowden cables with clamps to the handle
(10) as illustrated.
Commissioning
Filling with fuel
►P.3, item2
– Unscrew the tank lid(12) and remove.
– Carefully pour fuel into the tank (tank capacity:
►Technical data– p.12). Do not spill!
– Check the seal in the tank lid for damages, and
clean if necessary. Immediately replace dam-
aged seals!
– Tighten the tank lid(12) by hand.
Filling with motor oil
►P.3, item2
– Unscrew the motor oil filling screw(14) and
remove.
– Fill with motor oil carefully (tank capacity:
►Technical data– p.12). Do not spill!
– Tighten the motor oil filling screw(14) up again
by hand.
Adjusting the working depth
Depending on the wear on the working roller, the set-
ting can be modified (working depths: ►Technical
data– p.12).

– Switch the machine off.
– Raise the machine at the front.
– Pull the lever(5) outwards.
– Set the working depth to the value you require,
and let the lever slot back into place.
– Lower the machine again.
Attaching the cuttings bag
►P.5, item5
– Lift the protective flap(7) and hold.
– Slot the cuttings bag(8) into place.
– Ensure that the bag has slotted into place
securely.
Operation
Check before starting the device!
Check to make sure the device is in safe operating
condition:
– Check to make sure there are no visible defects.
– Check to make sure all device components are
correctly mounted.
Starting the motor

– Position the fuel valve(19) to the right.
– Push the cold start lever(17) to the left.
– Bring the gas handle(2) to the upper position.
– Slow pull out the pull starter(16) until you feel a
resistance, then quickly and forcefully, until the
initial ignition noise can be heard.
– Pull out the pull starter again quickly and force-
fully until the motor starts up.
– Allow the engine to warm up for approx. 10–
15seconds.
– Push the cold start lever(17) back to the right
until the engine runs quietly and smoothly.
Switching off the motor

– Release the clutch lever(1).
– Bring the gas handle(2) to the lower position.
– Position the fuel valve(19) to the left.
Scarifying
DANGER! Risk of injury! Petrol is
extremely flammable!
Switch off the motor and allow to cool
down before refilling.
Observe all of the safety notes for handling
fuels.
NOTICE! Risk of damage to the device!
The unit is delivered without motor oil.
Motor oil must be filled before starting the
machine.
Note: Only use suitable fuels (►Fuel and
lubricants to be used– p.12).
Note: For transport, set the working depth
adjustment to the highest position.
DANGER! Risk of injury! The device may
only be put into operation if there are no
defects. If a part is defective it must be
replaced before the device is used again.
DANGER! Danger of fire! Spilled fuel can
set the product on fire.
Carefully wipe up any spilled fuel up before
starting.
Start the product a minimum of nine metres
away from where you filled it.
Note: In case of start-up difficulties, please
refer to the following able: ►Troubleshoot-
ing– p.11
WARNING! Risk of injury! Always switch
off the product when not in use for short
periods.
DANGER! Risk of injury! Before starting
work, check the area and remove all
objects which may be kicked up by the unit.

– Activate the clutch lever(1).
– Guide the unit at an even, slow pace (walking
speed) and with as straight a path as possible.
Important notes
• Wherever possible, work across the slope.
• For an improved result, and to lengthen the
machine’s working life, the lawn should be cut as
short as possible.
• Staying for too long in one place can damage the
lawn surface.

Cleaning the device
Clean unit immediately after every use. Dried grass
remains are very hard, and are very difficult to
remove.
– Remove all grass and moss from the ventilation
slits of the motor.
– Remove grass remains with a brush, and a plas-
tic scraper if required (do not use sharp imple-
ments).
– Remove deposits on the wheels.
– Wipe the tool with a damp cloth.
– Never clean the unit with water or high-pressure
jet.
Replacing the air filter
►P.3, item2
– Stop the motor and remove the spark plug con-
nector.
– Open the air filter housing (13).
– Remove the air filter.
– Clean all parts of the air filter unit.
– Saturate the new air filter with oil.
– Press out excess oil.
– Insert the new air filter.
– Re-close the air filter housing (13).
Checking the level of motor oil

– Unscrew the motor oil filling screw(14) and
remove.
Note: The shorter the lawn has been cut,
the better it can be scarified.
DANGER! Danger of injury! Never start
the machine on a solid surface.
If the working roller becomes blocked by a
solid object, release the start-up lever
immediately.
If a foreign body was picked up, check the
machine and have it repaired if necessary.

Always push the device into the grass

– Read off the oil level on the scale on the under-
side of the motor oil filling screw.
– The oil stand must be placed between[A]
and[B].
Draining motor oil

– Put the included oil drain channel below the
motor oil drain plug (15).
– Hold the collecting tray below the oil drain chan-
nel.
– Unscrew the motor oil filling screw(14) and
remove.
– Unscrew the motor oil drainage screw(15) and
remove.
– Allow the motor oil to drain fully.
Cleaning/replacing spark plugs
►P.3, item2
– Remove spark plug connector(20).
– Unscrew the spark plug.
– Check the electrode for discoloration. Standard
colour: Light brown
– Check electrode spacing. Correct spacing: 0.7–
0.8 mm
Cleaning the spark plug
– Remove rust deposits from the electrode with a
wire brush.
Replacing the spark plug
– Insert the cleaned or new spark plug and tighten
by hand.
– Tighten the hand-tightened spark plug using a
spark plug wrench by a further quarter of a turn.
Do not turn it further as this will damage the
thread.
– Affix the spark plug connector(20) firmly back
onto the spark plug.
Storage, transportation
Storage
– Clean unit before storing.
– Store the tool in a dry and well ventilated place.
Transportation
– When dispatching, try to use the original pack-
aging, if possible.
Troubleshooting
What to do when something doesn’t work…
Malfunctions are often caused by minor faults. You
can easily remedy most of these yourself. Please
consult the following table before contacting the
vendor. You will save yourself a lot of trouble and
possibly money too.
WARNING! Danger of injury from high
voltage! Do not touch the spark plug con-
nector or the spark plug while the motor is
running.
NOTICE! Risk of damage to the device!
Only use wire brushes with brass bristles to
clean the spark plug. Any other bristle type
will damage the electrode!
NOTICE! Risk of damage to the device!
Only screw a spark plug into place when
the engine is cold.
DANGER! Risk of injury! Store the unit in
such a way that it cannot be started by
unauthorised persons.
Ensure that no one is able to hurt them-
selves on the stored unit.
NOTICE! Risk of damage to the device!
Do not stored unprotected in a damp envi-
ronment.
DANGER! Risk of injury! Unprofessional
repairs may mean that your unit will no
longer operate safely. This endangers you
and your environment.

If you can’t fix the fault yourself, contact your nearest
vendor. Please be aware that any improper repairs
will also invalidate the warranty and additional costs
may be incurred.
Disposal
Disposal of the appliance
This appliance must not be disposed of with regular
household waste! Dispose of the appliance in the
appropriate manner. For more information, consult
your community waste disposal service.
Disposing of fuels and lubricants
Waste fuels, waste oils, and materials containing oils
(air filter, rags, etc.) may not get into the environment.
– Bring waste materials that could damage the
environment to a collection point of the dealer or
in your community.
Disposal of the packaging
The packaging consists of cardboard and
correspondingly marked plastics that can
be recycled.
– Make these materials available for
recycling.
Technical data
*) The specified values are emission values and do not necessar-
ily represent safe workplace values. Although there is a corre-
lation between emission and immission levels, this cannot be
used to infer whether additional safety measures are necessary
or not. Factors which affect the current immission levels at the
workplace, include the type of room, other sources of noise,
e.g. the number of machines operating and other processes
taking place in the vicinity. Permitted workplace values can dif-
fer from country to country. This information is designed to help
the user to better assess the dangers and risks. Determination
of noise emission values in accordance with EN 60745-1.

of time you work with the tool. All parts of the operating cycle

including times in which the power tool is switched off and
times in which it is switched on, but is running without load).

Gas handle in lower position? Bring the gas handle to the upper
position.
Spark plug contaminated? ►Cleaning/replacing spark plugs–

Incorrect fuel? Empty tank and fill up with the cor-
rect fuel.
Chattering noise. Foreign body in the working roller? Switch the machine off, remove the
foreign body.
Whistling noise. Drive belt slipping? Contact your local vendor.
Insufficient performance. Grass too long? Mow the grass before de-thatching.
Is the working roller worn? Contact your local vendor.

mixture strongly reacts to influential factors such as
light rays, temperature and storage time. Hence,
these fuels should be stored only in allowed contain-
ers and in suitable place for not more than 30 days.
It is recommendable to empty the fuel tank as well as
the steam separator (carburettor) if combustion
engine takes longer time to shutdown.

Ενδεδειγμένη χρήση
Η συσκευή προορίζεται για την εκχέρσωση (παρα-
μερισμό βρύων και αγριόχορτων με επίπεδες ρίζες)
από επιφάνειες γκαζόν σε ιδιωτικά νοικοκυριά και
ερασιτεχνικούς κήπους.
Η συσκευή δεν έχει σχεδιαστεί για επαγγελματική
χρήση. Οι γενικά αναγνωρισμένες προδιαγραφές
πρόληψης ατυχημάτων και οι εσώκλειστες υποδεί-
ξεις ασφαλείας πρέπει να λαμβάνονται υπόψη.
Να πραγματοποιείτε μόνο τις εργασίες που περι-
γράφονται σε αυτές τις οδηγίες χρήσης. Κάθε άλλη
εφαρμογή είναι μία ανεπίτρεπτη λανθασμένη
χρήση. Ο κατασκευαστής δεν ευθύνεται για τις
ζημιές που τυχόν θα προκύψουν.
Τί σημαίνουν τα χρησιμοποιημένα σύμβολα;
Οι υποδείξεις κινδύνων και οι υποδείξεις επισημαί-
νονται στις οδηγίες χρήσης με σαφήνεια. Χρησιμο-
ποιούνται τα παρακάτω σύμβολα:

πικό προστατευτικό εξοπλισμό:

Γενικές υποδείξεις ασφαλείας
• Για τον ασφαλή χειρισμό αυτής της συσκευής
θα πρέπει ο χρήστης της συσκευής πριν την
πρώτη χρήση της να έχει διαβάσει και να έχει
κατανοήσει τις παρούσες οδηγίες χρήσης.
• Προσέχετε όλες τις υποδείξεις ασφαλείας!
Παραβλέποντας τις υποδείξεις ασφαλείας,
θέτετε σε κίνδυνο τον εαυτό σας και τους
άλλους.
• Φυλάξτε τις οδηγίες χρήσης και τις υποδείξεις
ασφαλείας για μελλοντική χρήση.
• Εάν πωλήσετε ή μεταβιβάσετε τη συσκευή,
μεταβιβάστε οπωσδήποτε και αυτές τις οδηγίες
χρήσης.
• Η συσκευή επιτρέπεται να χρησιμοποιείται μόνο
σε άψογη κατάσταση. Εάν η συσκευή ή μέρος
αυτής είναι ελαττωματικό, πρέπει να επισκευά-
ζεται από ειδικό τεχνικό.
• Μη χρησιμοποιείτε τη συσκευή σε χώρους με
κίνδυνο έκρηξης ή κοντά σε υγρά ή αέρια καύ-
σιμα!
• Κίνδυνος δηλητηρίασης από καυσαέρια! Απα-
γορεύονται η εκκίνηση του κινητήρα και η
χρήση σε κλειστούς χώρους.
• Πρέπει να σβήνετε τον κινητήρα:
– κάθε φορά που εγκαταλείπετε τη μηχανή
– πριν τον ανεφοδιασμό με καύσιμα
• Κατά την παράταση λειτουργίας του κινητήρα
πρέπει να κλείνετε την στραγγαλιστική βαλβίδα.
Εάν η μηχανή διαθέτει βάνα απομόνωσης βενζί-
νης, πρέπει να την κλείνετε μετά την εργασία.
• Μη φυλάτε ποτέ τη συσκευή με βενζίνη στο
ρεζερβουάρ μέσα σε κτίριο, στο οποίο ενδέχε-
ται να αναφλεγούν ή να έρθουν σε επαφή ανα-
θυμιάσεις βενζίνης με γυμνές φλόγες ή σπινθή-
ρες.
• Αφήστε τον κινητήρα να κρυώσει, πριν αποθη-
κεύσετε τη συσκευή σε κλειστούς χώρους.
• Για την αποφυγή κινδύνου πυρκαγιάς, διατη-
ρείτε τον κινητήρα και την εξάτμιση ελεύθερη
από φυτικά υλικά ή εξερχόμενο γράσο (λάδι).
• Ασφαλίζετε πάντα την απενεργοποιημένη
συσκευή έναντι ακούσιας ενεργοποίησης.
• Να μη χρησιμοποιείτε συσκευές, στις οποίες ο
διακόπτης ενεργοποίησης/απενεργοποίησης δε
λειτουργεί σωστά.
• Κρατήστε τα παιδιά μακριά από τη συσκευή!
Φυλάξτε τη συσκευή σε ασφαλές μέρος, μακριά
από παιδιά και αναρμόδια άτομα.
• Αποφεύγετε την υπερφόρτωση της συσκευής.
Χρησιμοποιείτε τη συσκευή μόνο για τους σκο-
πούς για τους οποίους προορίζεται.
• Χρησιμοποιείτε πάντα τον αναγκαίο προσωπικό
προστατευτικό εξοπλισμό.
• Να εργάζεστε πάντα προσεκτικά μόνο σε καλή
φυσική κατάσταση: Νύστα, ασθένεια, πόση
οινοπνευματωδών, χρήση φαρμάκων και ναρ-

ή κίνδυνος τραυματισμού! Άμεσα επικίν-
δυνη κατάσταση, που θα έχει ως συνέπεια

καταστάσεις αυτές δεν μπορείτε πια να χρησι-
μοποιείτε το μηχάνημα ασφαλώς.
• Η συσκευή αυτή δεν προορίζεται να χρησιμο-
ποιηθεί από άτομα (συμπεριλαμβανομένων παι-
διών) με περιορισμένες σωματικές, αισθητικές ή
πνευματικές ικανότητες ή με έλλειψη εμπειρίας
και/ή γνώσεων, εκτός εάν, αυτά επιβλέπονται
από ένα υπεύθυνο για την ασφάλειά τους
άτομο ή έχουν λάβει από αυτό οδηγίες, για το
πώς πρέπει να χρησιμοποιούν τη συσκευή.
• Καταστήστε βέβαιο ότι δε θα παίζουν παιδιά με
τη συσκευή.
• Τηρείτε πάντα τις ισχύουσες εθνικές και διε-
θνής διατάξεις ασφαλείας, υγείας και εργασίας.
Κίνδυνος από δόνηση
Η τιμή δόνησης που αναφέρεται στα τεχνικά χαρα-
κτηριστικά αντιπροσωπεύει τις κύριες εφαρμογές
της συσκευής. Η πραγματική δόνηση κατά την
χρήση ενδέχεται να διαφέρει λόγω των εξής παρα-
γόντων:
• μη ενδεδειγμένη χρήση,
• ακατάλληλα εργαλεία χρήσης,
• ακατάλληλο υλικό,
• ανεπαρκής συντήρηση.
Μπορείτε να μειώσετε σημαντικά τους κινδύνους,
εάν ακολουθείτε τις ακόλουθες υποδείξεις:
– Συντηρείτε τη συσκευή σύμφωνα με τις οδηγίες
στις οδηγίες χρήσης.
– Αποφύγετε την εργασία σε χαμηλές θερμοκρα-
σίες.
– Διατηρείτε το σώμα σας και ιδίως τα χέρια
ζεστά, ιδίως όταν ο καιρός είναι κρύος.
– Κάνετε συχνά διαλείμματα και κουνάτε τα
χέρια, για διέγερση της αιμάτωσης.
Σχετικά με το χειρισμό καυσίμων
Τα καύσιμα είναι αναφλέξιμα και εκρηκτικά. Μει-
ώστε τον κίνδυνο έκρηξης και πυρκαγιάς:
• Πριν γεμίσετε καύσιμο, να σβήνετε τη μηχανή
και να την αφήνετε να κρυώσει.
• Απαγορεύεται το κάπνισμα και ανοικτή φωτιά
όταν χειρίζεστε καύσιμα.
• Να αποθηκεύετε και να αναμιγνύετε τα καύσιμα
μόνο σε εγκεκριμένα μπιντόνια με την απαιτού-
μενη επισήμανση.
• Τα καύσιμα να αποθηκεύονται σε κλειστούς
περιέκτες. Τα καύσιμα εξατμίζονται ακόμη και
σε θερμοκρασία περιβάλλοντος και δεν απο-
κλείεται να συγκεντρωθούν στο δάπεδο των
κλειστών χώρων (κίνδυνος έκρηξης).
• Όσο λειτουργεί ο κινητήρας ή όταν ο κινητήρας
είναι ζεστός δεν επιτρέπεται να ανοίγετε την
τάπα του ρεζερβουάρ ή να συμπληρώνετε βεν-
ζίνη.
• Εάν χυθεί βενζίνη, δεν επιτρέπεται να προσπα-
θήσετε να βάλετε εμπρός τον κινητήρα.
• Η εκκίνηση της συσκευής να γίνεται σε από-
σταση τουλάχιστον εννέα μέτρων από το
σημείο πλήρωσης καυσίμου.
• Εάν πρέπει να αδειάσετε το ρεζερβουάρ, θα
πρέπει να το κάνετε σε υπαίθριο χώρο.
Τα καύσιμα είναι τοξικά. Περιέχουν άμεσα τοξι-
κές ουσίες και μπορούν να έχουν επιβλαβή
δράση διαρκείας στην υγεία. Προσέξτε τα μέτρα
ασφαλείας προς αποφυγή απορρόφησης των
ουσιών από το σώμα.
• Πραγματοποιείτε ανεφοδιασμό ή μετάγγιση
καυσίμων μόνο σε υπαίθριους ή καλά αεριζόμε-
νους χώρους.
• Μην εισπνέετε τις αναθυμιάσεις των καυσίμων.
• Αποφύγετε την επαφή με το δέρμα και τα
μάτια. Σε περίπτωση τυχαίας επαφής, ξεπλύ-
νετε καλά με νερό. Σε περίπτωση επαφής με τα
μάτια, ζητήστε επιπρόσθετα ιατρική βοήθεια.
• Κατά τη μετάγγιση, φοράτε γάντια.
• Εάν καταλήξουν καύσιμα στα ρούχα, φορέστε
αμέσως άλλα ρούχα. Καθαρίστε τα ρούχα, πριν
τα φορέσετε ξανά.
• Αποθηκεύετε τα καύσιμα μακριά από παιδιά.
Τα καύσιμα θέτουν σε κίνδυνο το περιβάλλον σε
περίπτωση μη ενδεδειγμένης χρήσης:
• Μεταγγίζετε με προσοχή το καύσιμο. Τα καύ-
σιμα δεν επιτρέπεται να καταλήξουν στο έδα-
φος ή στο δίκτυο αποχέτευσης.
• Πρέπει να διαθέτετε τα καύσιμα στα απορρίμ-
ματα σύμφωνα με τους κανονισμούς. Μην τα
ρίχνετε ποτέ στα οικιακά απορρίμματα.
• Τα καύσιμα μπορούν να αποθηκευτούν υπό
περιορισμούς. Αγοράζετε μόνο ποσότητες, που
θα καταναλώσετε τους επόμενους μήνες.
Συντήρηση
• Πριν από όλες τις εργασίες στη συσκευή,
θέτετε πάντα το διακόπτη της ανάφλεξης στο
[0] και αποσυνδέστε το φις του καλωδίου ανά-
φλεξης.
• Ελέγχετε τακτικά το σύστημα τροφοδοσίας
καυσίμου για σημεία με διαρροές ή ελαττωμα-
τικά εξαρτήματα.
• Επιτρέπεται να εκτελούνται αποκλειστικά οι
εργασίες συντήρησης και οι διαδικασίες αντιμε-
τώπισης βλαβών που περιγράφονται εδώ. Όλες
οι περαιτέρω εργασίες πρέπει να εκτελούνται
από έναν ειδικό.
• Χρησιμοποιείτε μόνο αυθεντικά ανταλλακτικά.
Μόνο τα ανταλλακτικά αυτά είναι κατασκευα-
σμένα και κατάλληλα για το μηχάνημα. Άλλα
ανταλλακτικά δεν επιφέρουν μόνο την απώλεια
της εγγύησης, αλλά ενδέχεται να θέσουν σε κίν-
δυνο εσάς και το περιβάλλον σας.
ΠΡΟΦΥΛΑΞΗ! Κίνδυνος τραυματισμού
από δόνηση! Από δόνηση ενδέχεται να
προκληθούν βλάβες στα αιμοφόρα αγγεία,
ιδίως σε πρόσωπα με κυκλοφορικές διατα-
ραχές.
Σε περίπτωση εμφάνισης των ακόλουθων
συμπτωμάτων, σταματήστε αμέσως την
εργασία και επισκεφθείτε γιατρό: Μούδια-
σμα μερών του σώματος, απώλεια συνεί-
δησης, κνησμός, τσίμπημα, άλγος, αλλα-
γές του χρώματος της επιδερμίδας.

Ειδικές υποδείξεις ασφαλείας της συσκευής
• Νεαροί κάτω των 16 ετών, καθώς και χρήστες,
οι οποίοι δεν είναι επαρκώς εξοικειωμένοι με το
χειρισμό του μηχανήματος, δεν επιτρέπεται να
χρησιμοποιούν το μηχάνημα.
• Ελέγχετε τακτικά, εάν όλες οι κοχλιώσεις είναι
σφιχτές.
• Διατηρείτε τα καλώδια σύνδεσης πάντα μακριά
από το χώρο εργασίας του μηχανήματος. Οδη-
γείτε τα καλώδια πάντα πίσω από το μηχάνημα.
• Κατά την εργασία με το μηχάνημα φροντίζετε
πάντα για ευστάθεια και φυσική σωματική
στάση.
• Να κρατάτε το μηχάνημα πάντα καλά με τα δύο
χέρια.
• Πριν την έναρξη της εργασίας ελέγχετε την
περιοχή και απομακρύνετε όλα τα αντικείμενα
που θα μπορούσαν να εκσφενδονιστούν από τη
συσκευή.
• Τηρείτε πάντα επαρκή απόσταση στον κύλιν-
δρο εργασίας (κύλινδρο εκχέρσωσης).
• Οδηγείτε τον εκχερσωτή γκαζόν μόνο με ταχύ-
τητα βηματισμού.
• Να εργάζεστε μόνο σε καλές συνθήκες φωτός
και ορατότητας.
• Η ενδυμασία του χειριστή πρέπει να είναι εφαρ-
μοστή. Αποφεύγετε χαλαρά εφαρμοστή ενδυ-
μασία. Φοράτε ανθεκτικά παπούτσια και μακριά
παντελόνια.
• Προσέχετε, ώστε να μη βρίσκονται άλλα πρό-
σωπα ή ζώα πλησίον του χώρου εργασίας.
• Κατά την αλλαγή κατεύθυνσης κίνησης σε πλα-
γιά να είστε ιδιαίτερα προσεκτικοί.
• Προσοχή κατά το όπισθεν περπάτημα. Κίνδυ-
νος πτώσης!
• Λαμβάνετε υπόψη σας τις τοπικές προδιαγρα-
φές για τις ώρες κοινής ησυχίας.
• Λαμβάνετε υπόψη σας πως τα κινούμενα τμή-
ματα μπορεί να βρίσκονται και πίσω από οπές
αερισμού και εξαερισμού.
• Σύμβολα, που βρίσκονται στο μηχάνημά σας,
δεν επιτρέπεται να απομακρύνονται ή να επικα-
λύπτονται. Υποδείξεις επάνω στο μηχάνημα,
που έγιναν μη αναγνώσιμες, πρέπει να αντικαθί-
στανται αμέσως.

Μην προσθέτετε καύσιμο ενώ λειτουργεί

– Γεμίζετε το καύσιμο προσεκτικά (περιεχόμενο

Προσέξτε να μη χυθεί καύσιμο!
– Ελέγχετε το στεγανοποιητικό στο καπάκι του
ρεζερβουάρ και ενδεχομένως καθαρίστε το. Αν
το στεγανοποιητικό έχει υποστεί ζημιά, αντικα-
ταστήστε το αμέσως!
– Σφίξτε το καπάκι του ρεζερβουάρ(12) εκ νέου
με το χέρι.
Γέμισμα λαδιού κινητήρα

– Ξεβιδώστε και αφαιρέστε τη βίδα πλήρωσης
λαδιού κινητήρα (14).
– Γεμίζετε το λάδι κινητήρα προσεκτικά (περιεχό-

σελ.21). Προσέξτε να μη χυθεί καύσιμο!
– Σφίγξτε τη βίδα πλήρωσης λαδιού κινητήρα (14)
με το χέρι.
Ρύθμιση βάθους εργασίας
Η ρύθμιση μπορεί να μετατραπεί ανάλογα με τη
φθορά του κυλίνδρου εργασίας (Βάθη εργασίας:
►Τεχνικά στοιχεία– σελ.21).

– Απενεργοποιήστε τη συσκευή
– Ανασηκώστε τη συσκευή μπροστά.
– Τραβήξτε το μοχλό (5) προς τα έξω.
– Ρυθμίστε το βάθος εργασίας στην επιθυμητή
τιμή και αφήστε το μοχλό να ξαναασφαλίσει.

κρατήστε το σταθερά.
– Αναρτήστε το σάκο συλλογής (8).
– Βεβαιωθείτε πως ο σάκος συλλογής έχει ασφα-
λίσει καλά.
Χειρισμός
Ελέγχετε πριν την εκκίνηση!
Ελέγχετε την ασφαλή κατάσταση του μηχανήμα-
τος:
– Ελέγχετε, εάν υπάρχουν ορατές βλάβες.
– Ελέγχετε, εάν όλα τα εξαρτήματα του μηχανή-
ματος είναι σταθερά συναρμολογημένα.

Πριν την πλήρωση απενεργοποιήστε τον
κινητήρα και αφήστε τον να κρυώσει.
Λάβετε οπωσδήποτε υπόψη σας όλες τις
οδηγίες ασφαλείας σε σχέση με τη χρήση
του καυσίμου.
ΠΡΟΣΟΧΗ! Κίνδυνος βλαβών στο μηχά-
νημα! Το μηχάνημα παραδίδεται δίχως
λάδι κινητήρα.
Πριν τη θέση σε λειτουργία γεμίζετε απα-
ραίτητα λάδι κινητήρα.
Υπόδειξη: Χρησιμοποιείτε μόνο κατάλ-
ληλα καύσιμα (►Κατάλληλα καύσιμα και
λιπαντικά– σελ.21).
Υπόδειξη: Για τη μεταφορά θέστε τη ρύθ-
μιση βάθους εργασίας στην υψηλότερη
θέση.

μηχάνημα επιτρέπεται να χρησιμοποιείται
μόνο, εάν δεν υφίστανται ελαττώματα.
Εάν ένα εξάρτημα είναι ελαττωματικό,

– Σπρώξτε τη βάνα καυσίμου (19) προς τα δεξιά.
– Σπρώξτε το μοχλό ψυχρής εκκίνησης (17) προς
τα αριστερά.
– Φέρτε τη λαβή γκαζιού (2) στην επάνω θέση.
– Τραβάτε την ντίζα εκκίνησης(16) αργά μέχρι το
σημείο αντίστασης και στη συνέχεια τραβάτε
την γρήγορα με δύναμη μέχρι να ακουστεί το
πρώτος θόρυβος εκκίνησης.
– Τραβάτε την ντίζα εκκίνησης εκ νέου γρήγορα
και με δύναμη προς τα έξω, ώσπου να πάρει
μπρος ο κινητήρας.
– Αφήστε τον κινητήρα να ζεσταθεί για 10-15
δευτερόλεπτα.
– Ξανασπρώξτε το μοχλό ψυχρής εκκίνησης (17)
τόσο προς τα δεξιά, μέχρι ο κινητήρας να αρχί-
σει να εργάζεται ήρεμα και ομοιόμορφα.
Απενεργοποίηση κινητήρα

– Αφήστε ελεύθερο το μοχλό συμπλέκτη (1).
– Φέρτε τη λαβή γκαζιού (2) στην κάτω θέση.
– Σπρώξτε τη βάνα καυσίμου (19) προς τα αρι-
στερά.
Εκχέρσωση γκαζόν
►P.5, σημείο6
– Κλείστε τη φραγή ενεργοποίησης (11) πιέζο-
ντας προς τα κάτω.
– Ενεργοποιήστε το μοχλό συμπλέκτη (1).
– Οδηγείτε το μηχάνημα με ομοιόμορφη αργή
ταχύτητα (ταχύτητα βηματισμού) σε όσο το
δυνατό ευθείες τροχιές.
Σημαντικές υποδείξεις
• Να εργάζεστε πάντα όσο το δυνατόν πιο
εγκάρσια προς την πλαγιά!
• Για τη βελτίωση των αποτελεσμάτων και την
αύξηση της διάρκειας ζωής της συσκευής, το
γρασίδι θα πρέπει να κόβεται όσο πιο κοντό
γίνεται.
• Αν μένετε μεγάλο χρονικό διάστημα σε μία
συγκεκριμένη θέση, μπορεί να καταστρέψετε
την επιφανειακή βλάστηση.
Καθαρισμός και συντήρηση
Σύνοψη καθαρισμού και συντήρησης
Πριν από κάθε χρήση
ΚΙΝΔΥΝΟΣ! Κίνδυνος πυρκαγιάς! Αν
χυθεί καύσιμο, η συσκευή μπορεί να πιάσει
φωτιά.
Πριν την εκκίνηση σκουπίζετε απαραίτητα
επιμελώς το χυμένο καύσιμο.
Βάζετε μπρος το μηχάνημα τουλάχιστον
εννέα μέτρα από τη θέση που γεμίσατε το
καύσιμο.

εκκίνησης, ανατρέξτε στον εξής πίνακα:

Μην αφήνετε ποτέ την μπάρα οδήγησης
κατά την εργασία.
Υπόδειξη: Όσο πιο κοντό είναι κομμένο το
γρασίδι, τόσο πιο εύκολη είναι η εκχέρ-
σωση.
ΚΙΝΔΥΝΟΣ! Κίνδυνος τραυματισμού!
Μην θέτετε ποτέ τη συσκευή σε λειτουργία
πάνω σε στερεωμένη βάση.
Αν ο τροχός εργασίας μπλοκαριστεί από
ξένο σώμα, απελευθερώστε αμέσως το
μοχλό εκκίνησης.
Αν πιαστεί κάποιο ξένο σώμα, ελέγξτε τη
συσκευή και, αν χρειαστεί, δώστε την για
επισκευή.
ΠΡΟΣΟΧΗ! Κίνδυνος βλαβών στο μηχά-
νημα! Βυθίζετε πάντα τη συσκευή αργά
στο γρασίδι, γιατί αλλιώς υφίσταται κίνδυ-
νος να σπάσει ο τραπεζοειδής ιμάντας
μετάδοσης κίνησης.

Διενεργείτε μόνο τις εργασίες συντήρησης
που περιγράφονται εδώ.
Εσφαλμένες εργασίες μπορούν να οδηγή-
σουν σε βλάβες στο μηχάνημα και να επι-
σύρουν τραυματισμούς.

Πριν από κάθε συντήρηση και/ή καθαρι-

– Απενεργοποιήστε τη συσκευή

Μετά από κάθε χρήση
Κάθε 25 ώρες λειτουργίας
Κάθε 100 ώρες λειτουργίας ή μιά φορά ετησίως
Καθαρισμός του μηχανήματος
Μετά από κάθε χρήση καθαρίζετε αμέσως τη
συσκευή. Τα ξεραμένα υπολείμματα γρασιδιού είναι
πολύ σκληρά και απομακρύνονται δύσκολα.
– Καθαρίστε τις σχισμές αερισμού από χόρτα και
βρύα.
– Απομακρύνετε τα υπολείμματα γρασιδιού με
μία βούρτσα ή ενδεχομένως ένα πλαστικό
ξέστρο (μη χρησιμοποιείτε αιχμηρά εργαλεία).
– Απομακρύνετε καθιζήσεις στους τροχούς.
– Σκουπίζετε το μηχάνημα με ένα ελαφριά νοτι-
σμένο πανί.
– Μην καθαρίζετε ποτέ το μηχάνημα με δέσμη
νερού ή υψηλής πίεσης.
Αντικατάσταση φίλτρου αέρα
►P.3, σημείο2
– Σταματήστε τον κινητήρα και τραβήξτε το ρευ-
ματοδότη ανάφλεξης.
– Ανοίξτε το πλαίσιο φίλτρου αέρα (13).
– Αφαιρέστε το φίλτρο αέρα.
– Καθαρίστε όλα τα τμήματα της μονάδας φίλ-
τρου αέρα
– Διαποτίστε το νέο φίλτρο αέρα με λάδι.
– Πιέστε και αφαιρέστε το περισσευούμενο λάδι.
– Τοποθετήστε το νέο φίλτρο αέρα.
– Κλείστε και πάλι το πλαίσιο φίλτρου αέρα (13).
Έλεγχος στάθμης λαδιού κινητήρα
►P.5, σημείο7
– Ξεβιδώστε και αφαιρέστε τη βίδα πλήρωσης
λαδιού κινητήρα (14).
– Διαβάστη τη στάθμη λαδιού στη ράβδο ένδει-
ξης στην κάτω πλευρά της βίδας πλήρωσης
λαδιού κινητήρα.
– Η στάθμη λαδιού πρέπει να βρίσκεται
μεταξύ [A] και [B].
Αδειάστε λάδι κινητήρα .

– Τοποθετήστε το ρείθρο αποχέτευσης λαδιού
κάτω από τη βίδα αποχέτευσης λαδιού κινη-
τήρα (15).
– Κρατήστε το δοχείο συλλογής κάτω από το ρεί-
θρο αποχέτευσης λαδιού.
– Ξεβιδώστε και αφαιρέστε τη βίδα πλήρωσης
λαδιού κινητήρα (14).
– Ξεβιδώστε και αφαιρέστε τη βίδα αποχέτευσης
λαδιού κινητήρα (15).
– Αφήστε το λάδι κινητήρα να εκρεύσει πλήρως.
Καθαρισμός/αντικατάσταση μπουζί

– Τραβήξτε το φις του μπουζί (20).
– Ξεβιδώστε το μπουζί.
– Ελέγχετε αν το ηλεκτρόδιο έχει αλλάξει χρώμα.
Στάνταρ χρώμα: ανοιχτό καφέ
– Ελέγξτε την απόσταση ηλεκτροδίων. Σωστή
απόσταση: 0,7-0,8 mm
Καθαρισμός του μπουζί
– Απομακρύνετε εναποθέσεις αιθάλης από τα
ηλεκτρόδια με μια μεταλλική βούρτσα.
Τοποθέτηση μπουζί
– Τοποθετήστε την καθαρή ή τη νέα ανάφλεξη
και βιδώστε τη σταθερά με το χέρι.
– Σφίξτε το με το χέρι σφιγμένο μπουζί ακόμη
κατά μια κατά ένα τέταρτο περιστροφή με το
μπουζόκλειδο, όχι παραπάνω, ειδάλλως θα
υποστεί βλάβη το σπείρωμα.

κύλινδρος εργασίας συνεχίζει να κινείται!
Ποτέ μη γέρνετε, ανασηκώνετε ή σηκώ-
νετε ψηλά τη συσκευή ενώ ο κινητήρας
εργάζεται.
Πριν από κάθε εργασία συντήρησης και/ή
καθαρισμού, περιμένετε μέχρι η συσκευή
να ακινητοποιηθεί πλήρως.
ΠΡΟΣΟΧΗ! Κίνδυνος βλαβών στο μηχά-
νημα! Το μηχάνημα δεν επιτρέπεται να λει-
τουργείται ποτέ δίχως φίλτρο αέρα, ειδάλ-
λως μπορούν να προκληθούν βλάβες στον
κινητήρα.
ΠΡΟΣΟΧΗ! Κίνδυνος βλαβών στο μηχά-
νημα! Χρησιμοποιείτε πάντα τα αυθεντικά
φίλτρα αέρα που συνιστά ο κατασκευα-
στής.
Το φίλτρο αέρα πρέπει να είναι πάντα δια-
ποτισμένο με λάδι.
ΠΡΟΕΙΔΟΠΟΙΗΣΗ! Κίνδυνος τραυματι-
σμού από υψηλή τάση! Δεν επιτρέπεται
να αγγίζετε το μπουζί ή το φις του μπουζί
όταν ο κινητήρας βρίσκεται σε λειτουργία
(υψηλή τάση).
ΠΡΟΣΟΧΗ! Κίνδυνος βλαβών στο μηχά-
νημα! Για το καθαρισμό του μπουζί χρησι-
μοποιείτε αποκλειστικά μεταλλικές βούρ-
τσες με τρίχες από ορείχαλκο. Τρίχες από
άλλα υλικά βλάπτουν το ηλεκτρόδιο!
ΠΡΟΣΟΧΗ! Κίνδυνος βλαβών στο μηχά-
νημα! Βιδώστε το μπουζί μόνο με ψυχρό
κινητήρα.

Αποθήκευση, μεταφορά
Αποθήκευση
– Καθαρίζετε το μηχάνημα πριν την αποθήκευση.
– Αποθηκεύετε το μηχάνημα σε έναν ξηρό, καλά
αεριζόμενο χώρο.
Μεταφορά
– Σε περίπτωση αποστολής χρησιμοποιείτε εάν
είναι δυνατό την αυθεντική συσκευασία.
Βλάβες και αντιμετώπιση
Εάν κάτι δε λειτουργεί…
Συνήθως είναι μόνο μικρά σφάλματα, που προκα-
λούν δυσλειτουργίες. Συνήθως μπορείτε να τα διορ-
θώσετε μόνοι σας. Παρακαλούμε, συμβουλευτείτε
πρώτα τον ακόλουθο πίνακα, πριν απευθυνθείτε
στον εμπορικό αντιπρόσωπο. Έτσι εξοικονομείτε
πολύ κόπο και ενδεχομένως έξοδα.
ΚΙΝΔΥΝΟΣ! Κίνδυνος τραυματισμού!
Φυλάτε το μηχάνημα έτσι, ώστε να μην
μπορεί να ενεργοποιηθεί από μη εξουσιο-
δοτημένα πρόσωπα.
Βεβαιωθείτε ότι δεν μπορεί να τραυματι-
στεί κανείς στο ακινητοποιημένο μηχά-
νημα.
ΠΡΟΣΟΧΗ! Κίνδυνος βλαβών στο μηχά-
νημα! Μην αποθηκεύετε το μηχάνημα
απροστάτευτο σε υγρό περιβάλλον.
ΚΙΝΔΥΝΟΣ! Κίνδυνος τραυματισμού!
Εσφαλμένες επισκευές μπορούν να υπο-
βαθμίσουν την ασφάλεια λειτουργίας του
μηχανήματος. Κατ' αυτόν τον τρόπο
θέτετε σε κίνδυνο τον εαυτό σας και το
περιβάλλον.

μπουζί.
Βύσμα μπουζοκαλωδίου ρυπαρό; Καθαρίστε το βύσμα.
Ρυπαρό μπουζί; ►Καθαρισμός/αντικατάσταση

Μήπως είναι ελαττωματική η ανά-
φλεξη;
Υπερβολική ποσότητα καυσίμου
στο χώρο καύσης;
Αφαιρέστε το μπουζί και στεγνώ-
στε το ηλεκτρόδιο.
Απόσταση ηλεκτροδίων του μπουζί
πολύ μεγάλη;
Ρυθμίστε το διάκενο σε 0,7-0,8
mm.
Λάθος καύσιμο; Αδειάστε το ρεζερβουάρ και γεμί-
στε το με το σωστό καύσιμο.
Ο κινητήρας λειτουργεί με διακο-
