LVS, Inc. warrants to the original purchaser/user for the published warranty period from the date of shipment that should LVS instruments or
equipment prove defecve by reason of improper workmanship or material, LVS will repair or replace the same equipment without charge.
This warranty does not cover defects or malfuncons arising from improper installaon, operaon or repair, or neglect, accident, or abuse. LVS
will honor its warranty provided the equipment has not been physically damaged or improperly installed or connected. To obtain warranty/re-
pair, the defecve product should be shipped freight prepaid within the warranty period to the address below. To the extent permied by
applicable law, all warranes extending beyond repair or replacement as described above are disclaimed, including the implied warranes of
merchantability and fitness for a parcular purpose. Where applicable law prohibits disclaimers or the implied warranes of merchantability
and fitness; those warranes are limited to 12 months from date of shipment. LVS provides a 90 day money back guarantee if equipment
does not perform in accordance with LVS published specificaons. The liability of LVS and its agents under all warranes is limited to repair and
replacement as described herein and under no circumstances shall there be liability for any other kind of loss, damage, or labor, either conse-
quenal or for injury to person or property or otherwise.
5-Year Limited Warranty
1. Make sure all connections are in accordance with the National Electrical Code and local regulations.
2. To reduce the risk of electric shock, disconnect both normal and emergency power supplies before servicing.
3. This product is suitable for use in dry or damp locations. Do not mount it near gas or electric heaters, air
outlets or other hazardous locations.
4. An unswitched AC power source is required (120-277VAC, 50/60Hz).
5. Use this product in 0ºC minimum 50ºC maximum ambient temperature
6. Do not attempt to service a sealed product. When malfunctioning, return to the manufacturer: LVS, Inc.

7. The use of accessory equipment is not recommended and may cause unsafe condition and void warranty.
8. Do not use this product for other than its intended use.
9. Installation and service should be performed only by qualified service personnel.
10. Equipment should be mounted in locations and at heights where it will not readily be subjected to
tampering by unauthorized personnel.
11. UL924 listed for both factory and field installation.
12. Do not attempt to service the batteries. A sealed, maintenance-free battery is used which is
not field-replaceable. Contact manufacturer for replacement guidelines.
13. Intended for use with LED, incandescent, fluorescent fixtures.

NSTALLING THE CEPS-36W
The CEPS-36W can be mounted inside or outside (nearby or on top of) the luminaire.
3. INSTALLING THE LED TEST SWITCH (LTS)
Select a convenient location for the LTS so that it can be seen after installation.

OPERATION
When AC power is applied, the LED test switch is illuminated, indicating that the batteries are being charged. When
AC power fails, the CEPS-36W will switches to emergency power, automatically illuminating the connected loads.
The LED test switch is switched off. When the AC power is restored the emergency module switches the system
back to normal mode and resumes battery charging. The minimum emergency operation time is 90 minutes. The
charging time for the full discharged battery is 24 Hours.
TESTING ANDMAINTENANCE
The following periodic tests are recommended to ensure the system is working:
1) Visually inspect the LED test switch (LTS) monthly. It should be solidly illuminated.
2) Conduct a 30 second discharge every month by disconnecting the AC input power.
3) Conduct a 90 minute discharge every month by disconnecting the AC input power.
AUTO TEST
The CEPS-36W has an Auto Test function which reduces the cost of manual testing:
1) Instant Auto Test
When the system is first energized, the CEPS-36W will self-test if the load and battery are connected correctly
and the battery is charging normally. If an abnormal condition is detected, the LED test switch will flash or flicker.
2) Pre-programmed scheduled Auto Test
- First monthly test will initiate several days after first energizing the CEPS-36W, from then it will conduct a test
every 30 days.
- First annual test will occur 52 weeks after first energizing the CEPS-36W, and every 52 weeks thereafter.
MANUAL TEST
- Press LTS one time, then go into emergency mode.
- Press LTS 2 times continuously within 5 seconds, then go into monthly test. After finish, the next monthly test will
count from this date.
- Press LTS 3 times continuously within 5 seconds, then go into annual test, after finish, the next annual test will
count from this date.
- During the manual test, press LTS above 3 seconds, then the manual test can be terminated (The
preprogrammed scheduled Auto Test time will not change).
LED TEST SWITCH (LTS) INDICATION
- LTS on: Normal
- LTS off: Power failure
- LTS strobe(gradual change): In testing
- LTS fast flashing: Abnormal
- LTS slow flashing: Battery charging

The CEPS-36W requires an unswitched AC power supply (input) 120-277VAC 50/60Hz.
