a platform is created for birds to stand on and access the antenna.
Alternatively, bird spikes can be installed.
LX recommends using an LX Range Tester to select an installation
location with suitable Base Station signal strength.
Install the Blue Node as per Figure 1.1, ensuring it is mounted as
high as practically possible with the antenna protruding above
the top of the pole/fixture to improve transmission.
Install the compatible Blue Node sensor according to its Quick
Start Guide. When instructed, align the white arrow on the
sensor cable with the white arrow on the
sensor connector. Push firmly until you hear
an audible click.
Once the Blue Node is plugged in, it will
connect to the Incyt platform for activation
and configuration. This process may take
several minutes. Once complete, data will
appear on the dashboard in the App.
If data does not appear within 5 minutes,
use the LX Range Tester to check network
connectivity.
Device setup
This Blue Node requires a Sensor and LX Base Station/Gateway to
function, which are available for purchase from Incyt.io.
Remove contents of box and check the component list above
to ensure the kit is complete.
Screw the Antenna clockwise onto the Antenna Connector by
hand. Do not over-tighten.
Installation and Mounting
Select a suitable location to install the Blue Node and coupled
sensor. Where possible, select an installation site that minimises
vegetation and obstructions between the Blue Node and the Base
Station/Gateway. Avoid installing the Blue Node in such a way that
