DANGER
The unit must only be installed and serviced by a
proven electrican specialist, in accordance of all
relevant regulaons, safety and accident preven-
on direcves of the country.
Be sure that the exisng mains voltage corres-
ponds with the specied operang voltage befo-
re operang the device.
Risk of electric shock. Do not operate the device
without a cover. Even when switched o, voltage
may be present at the outputs. When working on
the device or connected loads, always disconnect
the upstream fuse from the power supply.
Apply the „Five Safety Rules“
(DIN VDE 0105, EN 50110):
1. Disconnect

it can be operated. Groups can be formed, scenes
and mers can be created.
These funcons allow e.g. to group 5 blinds on one
side of a building and to operate them together.
In addion, automated up and down movements
can be programmed as a me-controlled scene.

3.2 Funcons
The blind actuator CBA UP Casambi has a Blu-
etooth Casambi interface and can be opera-
ted via smartphone with the Casambi APP.
Casambi App automacally idenes the device
and can be integrated into exisng networks.
The device has dierent operang modes
(so-called Casambi proles) with the pro-
les the funconality and the parameters are
determined. Casambi prole must be selec-
ted in the Casambi APP when pairing a device
in order to select a specic operang mode.

3.4 Operang notes
There are dierent methods to operate the blind
actuator.
Driving over driving me
In the case of driving over the driving me, a sin-
gle impulse (e.g. pressing a buon or starng a
me-controlled scene) triggers the blind/shuer
etc. to move once to the zero point(OT) 0% or end
point(UT) 100%.
This driving me is stored in the parameters of
the actuator once and then recalled (see 4.4).
Driving to an absolute posion
With a drive to an absolute posion, any hori-
zontal posion can be approached. The absolute
posion is controlled by a slider (from OT 0% to
UT 100%), which determines the posion of the
connected blind / shuer, etc..
Slat adjustment
A slider can be used to adjust the angle of the slats
for venean blinds. Furthermore, the slat posion
is stored when moving to an absolute posion and
the set value is automacally readjusted aer re-
aching the driving posion.
For example, if the blind shall be moved down
only a lile bit and the slats are set to 5%. Then
aer reaching the target posion, the slats are set
to 5% again.

3.3 Installaon and dimensions
Even though the device has very compact dimen-
sions, it is strongly recommended to use the dee-
pest juncon boxes possible.
Depending on which pushbuon aachments are
used, up to 30 mm of addional installaon space
is required.
For installaon in cavity or switch boxes, the side
aps have to be removed. Install the device with
the labeling, LED and device buons facing for-
wards.

4.4 Calibraon
Once the device is added into a Casambi network,
a calibraon can be performed..
Perform calibraon drive (Drive me)
To ensure proper operaon, a calibraon drive
must be performed during inial startup.
1. Therefore, run a complete cycle (0% fully open
to 100% fully closed) and measure the drive
me.
2. In order to take into eect deviaons in the
travel me from boom to top, the cycle
(from 100% completely closed to 0% comple-
tely open) can be measured again.
3. Enter the measured me plus approx. 1 se-
cond (as a buer) in the device sengs under
parameter „Drive Time“.
Seng the slat posion (Angle me)
The „Angle Time“ is the aperture angle of the
blind slats, this me must be measured and set in
the parameters
1. Move the blind up a lile unl the slats are in
a horizontal posion.
2. Now move the blind downwards and stop the
me unl the slats are closed.
3. Set the measured me in ms in the parame-
ters under „Angle Time“.
Set drive direcon
If the drive direcon is not correct, the parameter
„Swap Controls Up/Down“ can be used to swap
the direcon.

5.2 Operaon with pushbuon input T1 / T2 (only 10.752)
The funconality of the push buon inputs is de-
ned by a parameter. Before the buon inputs are
congured, a push buon mode must be selected.
5.3 Push Buon mode
In order to change the Push Buon mode, pro-
ceed as shown on the right.
Push Buon mode - Possible parameters
Casambi Standard Casambi Push buon input
Buon Funcon as push buon - push=acve; release=o
Buon command processing internally in MTC controller
Group Buon Funcon as group buon - push=on; release=o
If several blind actuators are combined as a group, one device of the group must be dened as the master. For
the desired master, the push buon style must be set to Group Buon.
The other maintronic devices in the group are automacally slaves and the funcon of the master takes place.
Switch Funcon as a switch - 1x push = on - 1x push = o)
release is ignored
Group Switch Funcon as a group switch - 1x push = on - 1x push = o
If several blind actuators are combined as a group, one device of the group must be dened as the master. For
the desired master, the push buon style must be set to Group Switch.
The other maintronic devices in the group are automacally slaves and the funcon of the master takes place.
Enabled with 2 programmable inputs, local con-
trol is so much easier. These inputs can used as
a direct precongured Up-Down pushbuon or
control any casambi enabled device over Casambi
input control. It‘s just a change of an parameter in
the app.
1. Open Casambi app
2. Double tap on the device
3. Scroll to the item parameter
4. Tap on Push Buon mode
5. Select parameters

5.4 Congure pushbuon inputs
Pushbuon inputs can be individually assigned with desired funcons.
In order to do this, the following steps are necessary:
1. Open Casambi app and tap on „... More“
2. Open item „Switch“
3. Select device
4. For example program switch with single funcon
a) Select not acve

5.5 Operaon with pushbuon over L‘ release phase
Pin 6 (L’) is an release phase
to where an external blind pushbuon
can be connected.
WARNING
Please note that the pin for enabling phase L‘ (pin 6) is always connected to the mains vol-
tage as long as no acve movement is being performed via the Casambi control level.
NOTE
All movements via the „L‘ path“ control are not detected by Casambi. If you use proles
A,B,C or D, the indicaon of the horizontal posion is no longer correct. Only a travel to one
of the end points (OT/UT) via the control from Casambi „synchronizes“ the display with the
real posion again.
As soon as a travel command or an automaon object is sent, the manual travel is inter-
rupted. If the device is operated in automated mode, the key inputs T1 and T2 (only 10.752)
must be used.
ATTENTION
Only pushbuons without latching funcon and no switches may be connected.
The motor can be destroyed if this is not observed.
