Foragoodaircirculation aftertheswitchbeinginstalled, itis
recommendedto keep theswitchrackin aroomwith astabletemperature
andhumidity.Please use anair-conditionertocoolitupinsummeranda
heatingsysteminwinter.Ifthehumidityintheequipmentroomistoo
high forlongtime, itcauses thepoorinsulationandeven electricityleakof
insulation materialseasily.Sometimes, themechanicalperformancesof
materialschangeandthemetalpartsarecorroded easily,too.Ifthe
relativehumidityistoo low,insulationpadsshrink,whichcausesthe
fastenedscrewsloose.Meanwhile,in dryenvironment,staticelectricity
appearseasily,whichharmsthecircuitson theswitch.Ifthetemperature
istoohigh,thereliabilityof theswitch reducesgreatly.Thelong-timehigh
temperatureaffectsthelifeandspeedsuptheagingofinsulation

Theswitchadoptsmodularpowersupply.Beforeswitchingon,ensure
propergroundingofthepowersupplysystem.Theinputsourcefor the
switchshouldbe reliableandsecure. Useavoltageadaptor,ifnecessary.
Thebuilding’scircuitprotectionsystemshouldincludeafuse orcircuit-
breakerof nogreaterthan240 V,5Ain thecircuit.It isrecommended to
useaUPS formorereliablepower supply.
Groundingthepowersupplyimproperly,extremefluctuationsin theinput
powerorhugepulseresultintheabnormalrunningoftheswitch,oreven
hardwaredamage!

Installtheswitch accordingto thefollowingsteps:
1. Attachthebracketsonbothsides oftheswitchwithscrewsprovided
intheaccessorykit.
2. Putthebracket-mountedswitch ontoastandard19’’rack.Fasten itat
aproperlocation withthescrewsprovided,leavingenoughspace
aroundtheswitchforgoodaircirculation.
Caution:
Thebracketsareusedtofixswitchontherack.Theycannotserveasa
bearing.Place arackshelfundertheswitch.Donotplaceanythingontop
oftheswitch.Donotblocktheblow-holeson theswitchtoensuregood
operationof theswitch.
ConnectConsole Cable
Theswitch provides aserialconsoleport.Forexample:

connector ofthecabletoswitch consoleport.
2. Connect theothersideof theconsolecabletoacharacterterminal
(PC).
3. Poweron theswitchandcharacterterminal.Configureswitchviathe
character terminal.
InstallSFPTransceiver
MyPower S4152F-POE-ACV2 providesmultipleSFP1000Mfiber ports.
Thestepsfor installingSFPGigabitfiber transceiver:
Step 1: Puton ESDwrist strap(or antistaticgloves)
Step2: InsertSFPtransceiverontotheguiderail inside theSFPgigabit
opticalport.DonotputSFPtransceiver up-side-down.
Step3: PushSFPtransceiveralongtheguide rail gentlyuntilyou feelthe
transceiver snapinto place atthebottomof theslot.
SFPtransceiver ishot-swappable.
Caution:
Donotlookdirectlyatthetwo-fiberboreinSFPtransceiverwhenthe
switchisinoperation.Otherwise,thelaser maydamageyour eyes.
Install10G ModuleTransceiver
MyPower S4152F-POE-ACVroutingswitchprovides10Gslot.Thesteps for
installing10GmoduleandtheXFP10Gfiber transceiver on themoduleare
asfollows:
1. Puton ESDwrist strap(or antistaticgloves);
2. Insertthe10Gmoduleintotheinsideguiderail of the10Gextended
slot;
3. Push10Gmodulealongtheguide railuntil connectingthefrontpanel
closely;
4. InsertXFPtransceiverintotheinsideguiderailof the10Gmodule. Do
notputXFPtransceiver up-side-down;

5. Push theXFPtransceiver untilconnectingthe10Gmoduleclosely.
XFP10Gfiber transceiver ishot-swappable.

whentheswitchisin operation.Otherwise,thelasermaydamageyour
eyes.
ConnectCable/Fiber
ConnectEthernetcablesasfollows:
Step1: Insertoneendof theEthernetcabletotheRJ-45 Ethernet
interfaceof theswitchelectricalinterface.
Step2: InsertotherendoftheEthernetcabletotheRJ-45 Ethernetport
of someother device.
Step3: Checkall statusindicatorsfor theports;alighted LEDindicates
that thelinkisestablished.Otherwise, thelinkisnotreadyandthecable
shouldbeexamined.
Caution:
Checksignon theinterfacetoensureusingtherightport.Connectingto
wrongportsmaydamagetheswitchmodules.
Connectthefiber asfollows:
Step1: RemovetheprotectiveplugfromSFP/XFPfibertransceiver.
Removeprotectivecapfromoneendof thefibercable.Keep thefiberend
clean.
Step2:Attachoneendof thefibercabletoSFP/XFPtransceiver,and
otherendtothetransceiverofthecorrespondingdevice.TheSFP/XFP
transceiver’sTXportshouldbe connectedtotheRXportofthe
correspondingdevice, andvice versa.
Step3: Checkthefiberportstatusindicator.AlightedLEDindicatesthat
thelinkisestablished. Otherwise,thelinkisnotreadyandshouldbe
examined.
