User Instructions
1. Label Roll Installation
*This printer can only print die-cut labels. Please ensure that you use official MakeID
labels, otherwise the printer may be damaged or abnormal printing might occur.
Step1.
Push the Cover-Open button open and put in the label roll as in the direction shown in the
figure with the printable side facing down.
Step2. When using a new label roll, pull the transparent leading label out of the Label Exit. The
transparent leading label is unprintable.
Step3. Shut the cover after the label roll is correctly placed. Tear off the transparent leading
label before use.

2. APP Download
Scan the QR code to download the APP directly, or you may go to Google Play or APP store to
search for「MakeID-Life」APP to download.
3. Button Initial Settings
Step1. This label printer is powered by lithium battery. When the battery power is sufficient,
long press the Power button for 2 seconds to light up the screen to power on the printer.
Step2.:For initial use of the printer, connect it to the APP to set the button initialization. Please
follow the steps below to do the settings before use.
a.
Open the APP on the phone and allow its all requested permissions.
Allowing the permissions is only for searching for and connecting to the printer. It will not
violate your privacy.

b.
After selecting the S1 Pro printer theme, search for it. Click on the searched printer and connect.
Please connect the printer in the APP. Do not connect it to Bluetooth in the phone system
setting.
c.
Set the Date button as instructed and select your preferred calendar format in the APP. After
successful setting, the default date is the current date’s day. You may select the date of 30 days
before or after by clicking on the Selection button.

d.
Set the Kitchen button as instructed in the APP. Then, click on to finish the setting before
you can print out the label directly by clicking on the Print button.

Set the Custom button and the Expiry Date button as instructed in the APP. Then, click on
to finish the setting before you can print out the label directly by clicking on the Print
button.
Step3.
After successfully setting all the steps above, you can print out the label directly by clicking on
the Print button.
4. Button Usage

Button must be set to be used after the printer is connected in the APP.
Kitchen button, Custom button

Step1. 1st, click on the Kitchen button or the Custom button.
Step2. 2nd, click on the Selection button to select the text.
Step3. 3rd, click on the Print button to print out the label.
Date button
Step1. 1st, click on the Date button,
Step2.
2nd, you may select the date of 30 days before or after by clicking on the Selection button. The
default date is the current date’s day.
Step3.
3rd, click on the Print button to print out the date label.

Expiry Date button
Step1. 1st , click on the Expiry Date button.
Step2. 2nd , click on the Selection button to select preferred expiry date.
Step3. 3rd, click on the Print button to print out the expiry date label.

5. How to Use the APP
* You could also edit the text in the APP to print after the printer is connected by
following the steps above.
Step1.
1st, the printer is powered on and the label roll has been correctly installed, then connect the
printer to the phone in the APP.
Step2.
2nd, enter the label-editing page in the APP.

Step3.
3rd, click on to edit the text, and to change fonts or resize text.
Step4.
4th, click on to insert stickers or icons.
Step5.
5th, click on to enter the print preview page where you could set print copies.
Step6.
6th, Tear off the label from the label exit after printing.

To prevent causing any potential damage to the label and the printer, do not attempt to
tear off the label while the printer is operating.

6. How to Stick the Label
Each label comes with an adhesive on the backside. Tear off the backing paper before sticking it
onto any object surfaces.
7. Charging Method
The printer is powered by lithium battery with a Type-C input port of 5v=2A charging input;
Please use the Type-C charging cable that comes with the printer. Charge the printer by using a
standard Type-C charging head;
If the printer is left unused for a long period, please charge once every 3 months in case the
lithium battery cannot be recharged due to natural wear and tear over time.

Your personal safety is very important in the operation and maintenance of the product. This
manual includes warnings and precautions for safe operation. Please read carefully and
understand all warnings and precautions before use.
Do not attempt to repair or adjust the product yourself. If you still fail to fix the troubles
according to the suggested methods described in this manual, please power off the product

Precautions
1.
Do not use the printer for any use or purpose other than those described in this manual, as that
may cause accidents or damage to the product.
2.
Only MakeID official labels can be used for this printer. Thus, please do not use other branded
labels as the replacement, as this may cause damage to the printhead and shorten its life.
damage to the printhead caused by the use of poor-quality labels are not covered by the
warranty.
3.
Do not touch the printhead to prevent static electricity from causing damage to sensitive
components. If the printhead gets dirty, please clean it with anhydrous alcohol.
4.
Do not scratch the printhead with hard objects. damage to the printhead caused by improper
maintenance or use are not covered by the warranty.
5.
Do not place any foreign objects outside the label exit, as this may cause damage to the printer.
6.
Do not press or hit the printer, as this may cause damage to the components or the printer to
malfunction.
7.
If the printer is soaked in water or damaged, stop using it immediately.
8.
The printer should be kept away from direct sunlight or the rain, heaters and other heat-
generating devices, dashboards, the rear of the cars, nor exposed to extremely high or low
temperatures, high humidity, or dusty areas. The standard operating temperature range is from
5°C to 35°C;
9.
If there is a large temperature difference between indoors and outdoors, it is not recommended
to use the printer immediately when it is taken from outdoors to indoors. It needs to be left to
stand for a period of time to ensure that the printer is frost-free before use;
10.
Do not stick the label where your hands often touch. Sweat and friction will make the printings
fade.
11.
Do not leave the labels in contact with chemical liquids, such as hand sanitizer, laundry
detergent, detergent, alcohol, etc. for a long period, otherwise, it will affect the preservation

time.
12.
Do not wipe the labels with any cleaning tools that contain alcohol.
13.
Thermal inkless printing is a special printing technology. The printings might fade if it is
improperly used. We recommend sticking the label in room temperature in dry, flat, and
infrequently touched places.
14.
To prevent labels from jamming due to multiple printings, please remove and tear off the label
at the label exit after each printing task is finished.
15.
Do not disassemble the printer to avoid possible electrocution, mechanical injury, or causing
damage to the printer components and other accidents.
16. Power off the printer immediately to avoid burns if the printer shows abnormalities such as
emitting smoke or odor, etc.
17.
To prevent unexpected situations, do not force to open the cover to remove the label roll when
the printer is operating.
18.
Do not touch the printhead to avoid burns because the printhead is still in a high-temperature
state after the printings have just finished.
19.
As the printhead is a precision component, and to better protect the printhead and extend its
life, it is recommended:
a.Not to print more than 2 meters for each continuous printing.
b.Not to print more than a total length of 20 meters per day.

Due to the structural reason, the printhead is a fragile component, please pay attention to the
following notes to avoid corrosion.
a.Do not touch the printhead surface.
b.Do not use carbon ribbons or thermal labels that contain sodium, potassium, or chloride ions.
c.Printhead should be avoided contact with any liquids or wet objects.
d.Printhead can be only cleaned with anhydrous alcohol.
Troubleshooting

Printer unable to power
on or shut-down occurs
Printer might run out of power.
Please try again after recharge.

Printer not work or
incomplete printing
Check if the label roll is correctly installed. Please refer to the
Label Roll Installation section.
Labels have run out. Please change.
Check if the cover is securely shut.
Blurred printing
Check if the printer is being used in low temperatures. The ideal
working temperature is from 5℃to 35℃.
Printhead might be dirty, please clean it with anhydrous alcohol.
「MakeID-Life」APP
download failure
Make sure your phone is connected to the Internet. Then, scan
the QR code to download the APP directly, or you may go to
Google Play or APP store to search for「MakeID-Life」APP to
download.
Connection failure
a.
Check if「MakeID-Life」APP is correctly downloaded.
b.
Check if the printer is powered on.
c.
Check if the requested permissions from Bluetooth are all
allowed.
d.
Open the APP and allow all permissions as requested.
e.
Search for the printer to connect in the APP. Do not connect to
the Bluetooth in the phone system settings.

Abnormal printing
a.
Reboot the printer, logout the APP before try again.
b.
Reboot the printer, uninstall and reinstall the APP before trying
again.
Other issues
Warranty Policy
Warranty Period
MakeID will provide you with free limited liability repair or product replacement services for 1
year from the date of purchase of this product in the event of a hardware failure on the
condition that you have installed and used this product in full accordance with the normal
working conditions and methods specified in this user manual.
Kind Reminder
1. Documents such as user manual, guide card, and all cables such as the charging cable, etc
that come with the product are not covered by the warranty.
2. Discounted or complimentary items that come with the product are not covered by the
warranty.
3. ;Order number, contact information and delivery details which shall include your name,
phone number and full address are needed for after-sale services of your product due to
quality or function issues within the warranty period.
Ineligibility for the Warranty Service
Malfunctions or damage of this product belonging to the following situations are not covered
by the free warranty, please choose paid repair service:
1.
The product or its components exceed the warranty period.
2.
Failure to install and use in accordance with the manual.
3.
Repaired or disassembled by non-MakeID staff.
4.
Non-MakeID labels or unsupported print media are used.
5.
The operating environment does not conform to the conditions specified in the manual.
6.
Substandard packaging or transportation methods are used by users during the transportation
and handling of the product.
7.

Non-MakeID components are used.
8.
Malfunctions or damage due to force majeure such as man-made or natural disasters (e.g.
earthquake, fire, etc.)
9.
Other malfunctions or damage that is not caused by product quality issues.
This policy does not affect your legal rights as a consumer.
Under the environment with Electrostatic Discharge Test Results the
sample may be disconnected, but it can be resumed to normal operation by
user after test.
This device complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules.
Operation is subject to the following two conditions:
(1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must
accept any interference received, including interference that may cause
undesired operation.
NOTE: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits
for a Class B digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits
are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in
a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate
radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with
the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio
communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not
occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful
interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by
turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the

- Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
