Blade Orientation, Preparation and Installation
WARNING
Do not insert or remove the blade with the electrical cord plugged in.
READ
CAREFULLY
FOR CONCRETE FLOORS: Extend
the blade approximately 20mm (4/5in)
with the bevel facing up.
FOR TIMBER FLOORS:
Extend the blade approximately
50mm (2in) with the bevel facing the
floor.
If the blade has a tendency of
digging into the timber floor, extend
the blade further out.
Always run the blade with the grain of the wood to reduce gouging.
(However, some gouging will occur)
1. Preparation before using the Vinyl Stripper:
i. LINOLEUM / VINYL SHEET GOODS/ TILES –5” Blade. Pre-cut the flooring into
6” strips for ease of removal. Run the machine diagonally to the tile joints as it is
faster and easier.
ii. CARPET –5” Blade. Pre-cut the flooring into 6” strips for ease of removal. Cut
carpet every 16” for ease of removal. It is generally faster and easier to use two
people, one running the machine and the other removing the materials away from
the machine.
READ
CAREFULLY
If the blades have a tendency of riding over the material you are
removing, the blade may have become dull and require
replacing.

Floor Stripper –User Manual (Rev0919) Page 10 of 17
