Models GS5000 and GS6000 are double insulated versions of
model 9105 125mm (5") straight grinder.
The high performance and handling is the same as model 9105.
Featuring are;
•Improved gear durability by change of grease and modification
on the inside of gear housing.
• Ergonomically design handle and barrel for added
extra maneuverability.

DISASSEMBLING
Note: Disassembling can be done without removing Insulation cover completely.
(1) Remove Wheel cover and Grinding wheel.
(2) Separate Gear housing from Motor housing as drawn in Fig. 2.
(3) Remove Spindle section and Ball bearing 6204LLB from Gear housing as drawn in Fig. 3.
1. Remove Retaining ring S-20 with 1R291. 2. Remove Inner flange and Pin 5 from Spindle.
3. Turn over Insulation cover as drawn below,
then remove four 5x50 Tapping screws.
4. Separate Gear housing from Gear housing cover.
1. Remove Spindle from Gear housing
by tapping its end with Plastic hammer.
2. Remove Bearing retainer 31-48 by turning
it with 1R316 counterclockwise.
3. Remove Ball bearing 6204LLB
by pushing it with the handle of
Plastic hammer.

Repair
(4) Ring 17 makes approx. 5 mm gap between Ball bearing 6203LLB and Helical gear 47. The gear can be disassembled
by using this gap. (Fig. 4)
1. Put a pair of 1R258 onto the table of
arbor press as drawn below.
3. While applying 1R026 onto Spindle, press 1R026 with Arbor press. Spindle is separated
together with Ball bearing 203LLB from Helical gear 47. then, remove Ring 17 from Spindle.
2. Fit two Lock nut wrenches to the gap between Helical
gear 47 and Ball bearing 6203LLB on the pair of 1R258.

(1) Assemble Spindle section as drawn in Fig. 5.
(2) Assemble by reversing the disassembly procedure. (Refer to Figs. 3 and 2)
Note: Assemble Gear housing section together with Gear housing cover
while facing its Hanger bracket attaching portion
to the opposite side as Switch lever. (Fig. 6)

1. While standing Spindle on 1R037, assemble
Ball bearing 6203LLB with 1R031.
Then, Put Ring 17 onto Spindle.
3. Press-fit Helical gear 47 onto Spindle with 1R031.

2. Before disassembling Armature,
remove Pin 3 not to lose it.
3. Remove Armature from Gear
housing cover with 1R045.
(1) Separate Gear housing from Gear housing cover. (Refer to Fig. 2)
(2) Disassemble Armature as drawn in Fig. 7.
(3) Remove Ball bearing 6201DDW as drawn in Fig. 8.

with 1R291.
2. Turn Gear housing cover over and set it on the Turn base of Arbor press.
And then, apply 1R243 to Ball bearing 6201DDW and press it with
Arbor press to remove the bearing from Gear housing cover.

Assemble Ball bearing 6201DDW and Armature to Gear housing cover by reversing the disassembly procedure.
(Refer to Figs. 8, 7 and 2)
Note: Do not forget to mount Pin 3 to Gear housing cover before assembling Armature to Motor housing.
