Intended Use
The Airo 12 by Mangar Health is a low pressure
air compressor, which has been designed to
inate a range of Mangar Health pneumac
liing equipment.

WARNINGS
• Be sure that you have read and understood
these instrucons and those provided with
any other Mangar Health product, before
operang the equipment.
• To avoid the risk of electric shock, NEVER
recharge the baery in the bathroom,
outdoors or in a damp environment.
• Always disconnect from the baery charger
before cleaning.
• Use only the supplied baery charger.
• Do not operate the Airo 12 compressor
in the presence of ammable anaesthec
mixtures with air, oxygen or nitrous oxide,
as these mixtures can create a combusble
environment leading to the potenal for re
or even an explosion in the presence of a
spark.
• Ensure that when in use, the Airo 12 and
its connected hose and hand control lead
are laid out in such a way as to avoid any risk
of tripping or strangulaon.
• Ensure that children and pets do not
interfere with the safe operaon of the
Airo 12 and inatable product.
• Keep the Airo 12 and inatable product
away from sources of heat.
• Disconnect the Airo 12 compressor from
the inatable product before transporng so
as to avoid accidental inaon.
• The Airo 12 should only be used for its
stated purpose and should not be modied
in any way.
This product and associated packaging does
not contain latex.

Baery Status Indicator
Geng Started
The Airo 12 does not have an ‘on/o’ switch. To
operate the compressor, press the ‘Up’ buon
on the Airo or on the hand control.

NOTE: The baery must be put on charge immediately as soon as the red indicator light appears.
Running the Airo 12 on RED unl the baery is exhausted will damage the baery.
When the compressor is running, the baery status indicator lights will only indicate the state of
baery charge as it was at the start of the li. When the compressor stops running, the baery
status indicator will show a boom green light (this will be red if the baery charge has become
low). To determine the true baery state following a li, press the ‘Baery Status Indicator’ buon
and the lights will indicate the baery charge state.
IMPORTANT: To maximize the life and liing performance of the baery, fully recharge the
baery for 16 hours. When the baery is new, it will not reach its peak performance and
capacity unl it has been discharged and recharged at least 3 to 5 mes.
Fully charge the baery for a minimum of 16 hours before using the Airo 12 for the rst me
and when a new baery has been ed.
To determine the baery charge state before use, press the ‘Baery Status Indicator’ buon to
acvate the baery status indicator lights:

NOTE: The charger is not capable of providing sucient power to charge the baeries while the
compressor is running.
To maintain baery condion, it is recommended that the Airo 12 is le connuously on charge
when not in use. The baeries cannot be overcharged using this charger.
WARNING: DO NOT recharge the baeries in a bathroom or in a damp environment.
To disconnect the charger from the mains power supply, unplug the charger from the mains power
socket.
Baery Charging - gs. 2
• Check the baery charger casing and lead
for signs of damage and if damaged DO NOT
USE.
• Fit the appropriate mains plug adaptor to
the baery charger (A).
• Plug the baery charger into a mains power
socket and connect the charger output lead
to the Airo 12 charging socket (B).
NOTE: The baeries must be recharged for a
minimum of 16 hours to achieve full capacity.
When the baery is being charged:
• For the rst 2 hours, the boom light will
show a steady red and the next light will be
ashing green. Aer 2 hours the lights will
change to two steady green and one ashing
green. Aer 16 hours all lights will become
steady green.
NOTE: If charging is momentarily interrupted
(a power cut, switching the power socket o
or disconnecng the charging lead), on re-
connecon, the charging process will start at
the beginning and follow the sequence above
for the next 16 hours.

Disconnect the Airo 12 from the baery
charger and place it in a safe and convenient
posion.
• Connect the Hand Control plug (A) to the
Airo 12 hand control socket (B).
• Connect the hose from the Mangar
pneumac liing equipment to the Airo
12 air outlet socket (C). The connector will
‘click’ into place when rmly pushed onto
the socket.
• Press the ‘Up’ buon (D) to raise.
• Press the ‘Down’ buon (E) to lower.
When inang Mangar Health products, the
compressor will stop automacally once the
product is fully inated.
NOTE: When either the ‘Up’ or ‘Down’ buons
are pressed, the internal microprocessor carries
out a baery voltage check and if the voltage
becomes too low, the ‘Down’ buon will not
work. This feature will always ensure that the
seat of a Mangar Health bathing product cannot
be lowered into a bath if there is insucient
baery power to raise it again.

Mains Power Adaptor (oponal)
An oponal mains power adaptor is available to
power the Airo 12 directly from a mains power
socket. Connect the mains power adaptor
between a mains power socket and the adaptor
inlet socket on the end of the Airo 12 (Fig. 3).
With the mains power adaptor connected and
the power switched ‘on’, all lights on the baery
state indicator will show steady green.
NOTE: The Airo baeries are not being charged
when the mains power adaptor is connected.

The Airo 12 has been designed to be maintenance
free and apart from replacing the baery, the Airo
12 contains no other user serviceable parts.
Baery replacement:
• Turn the Airo 12 onto its end containing the
air outlet socket, remove the screw (A) and
slide the end panel (B) away from the housing.
• Disconnect the wire from the baery pack
and remove the baery pack from the baery
compartment.
• Fit the replacement baery pack, ensuring that
the connector is secure, ret the end panel and
secure the screw (A).

Disposal
When the Airo 12 has reached the end of it’s working life, remove the baery for safe disposal
in accordance with local regulaons, and dispose of the Airo 12 at your local household waste
recycling centre (civic amenity site).
Cleaning
Unless contaminaon is suspected, periodic cleaning is all that is recommended. The Airo 12
should be cleaned/disinfected as follows:
• Unplug the Airo 12 from the baery charger. Clean the external surfaces using a non abrasive
damp cloth with warm water. Wipe dry thoroughly with a dry towel before reconnecng to the
baery charger. Do not allow moisture to enter any part of the compressor.
• Do not use solvent-based products.
Disinfecng
• Pre-clean using a damp cloth and then disinfect using a hard surface alcohol impregnated wipe.
Storage
• When not in use, store in a dry place together with these instrucons. To maintain the baeries,
when being stored for long periods, put the Airo 12 on charge for 16 hours every 3 months.
NOTE: Ensure that the baeries are fully charged before storing the Airo 12 for long periods.
When it becomes apparent that the Airo 12 is producing fewer than expected liing cycles, the
baery is probably reaching the end of its working life and should be replaced.

Compressor does not run when ‘up’ is
selected on the 2-way hand control.
Ensure that the air hose from the product
being inated is connected to the Airo.
Compressor keeps stopping when trying
to inate the liing aid.
Check that there are no kinks in the air
hose.

The warranty is given against defects in material and workmanship and comprises piece, parts and
labour. The warranty is not valid in the case of fair wear and tear, wilful damage, common neglect,
misuse or unauthorised alteraon or repair by unqualied persons.

warranty period, the defect will be reced free of charge providing that:
