Due to Bristol compressors no longer being manufactured Manitowoc Ice has created kits to make
replacement compressors straightforward. Manitowoc Ice has certain Bristol Compressors in stock
to cover replacements. However specific models have Copeland or Embraco compressors as a
replacement.

Charging:
•Damage may occur when
charging liquid into the front
discharge line service access port.
•It is recommended that all Liquid
charging should be done through
the Liquid Line service access.
•Replacement driers will have a
Schrader built into the inlet.
If no liquid line access is available (drier), install one into the liquid process tube
before recharging the ice machine.

**NOTE: INDIGO NXT CVD Control System does not have Interconnecting
Low Voltage Wiring. The Compressor and Condenser are located remotely
and cycle on and off via a pump down system and Low Pressure cut out.

Important:
Due to continuous improvements, this information is
for reference only. Please refer to the ice machine
serial number tag to verify electrical data.
•Ice machine must be grounded
•Separate fuse/circuit breaker must be provided for
each ice machine
•Qualified electrician must determine proper wire
size
•Maximum allowable voltage variation is ±10% of
the rated voltage at ice machine start-up
•Check all green ground screws in the control box
and verify they are tight before starting the ice
machine.
Wiring for the CVD condensing units should be a solid copper
conductor.
