Filtering Wax
• Place lter cloth (not included) in the metal basket.
• We recommend using strainer cloth (HH-560 Polyester Strainer Cloth) or another semi heat resistant
lter to lter your beeswax.
• Place desired amount of wax in the basket, not exceeding the height of the basket.
• Place the basket in the Wax Melter and use the instrucons above for melng the wax.
• When the wax has melted completely, slowly li the basket, allowing the liquid wax to lter through.
Cauon: Wax Melter and contents will be hot while in use
Always monitor the Wax Melter while in use. Do not exceed warm on the dial. Using higher sengs
may result in discoloraon of wax. The ashpoint of beeswax is 400° F (204.4° C). DO NOT HEAT WAX
TO 400° F (204.4° C).
Melng Wax
• Set dial to warm; do not use higher sengs.
• Place desired amount of wax in the melng pot, not exceeding the wall height of the pot
• Allow wax to melt slowly; do not leave the Wax Melter unaended during operaon.
• Melt me may take 30-90 minutes depending on volume and wax properes.
• The lid may be placed on the Wax Melter to speed up the melng process.
Remove the lid aer wax has melted.
• A thermometer (not included) may be used to monitor the temperature of your wax.
Beeswax will discolor at 185° F (85°C). Dierent types of wax will discolor at dierent temperatures.
• If wax is cooled in the valve, it will cause a blockage. To remove the blockage from an empty pot,
turn the dial to warm with the valve open and place a container to catch the wax as it empes from
the valve.
