WARNING! SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Please read this manual carefully before plugging in. Follow all instrucons and heed all warnings.
Warning: before going any further, make sure
that your amp is compable with your mains
electricity supply. If you have any doubt, please
seek help from a qualied technician – your
Marshall dealer can help you with this.
MAINS INPUT & FUSE
The specic mains input voltage rang that your
amp has been manufactured for is indicated on
the rear panel of the amp. Your amp is provided
with a detachable mains (power) lead, which
should be connected to the mains input socket
on the rear panel of the amp. The correct value
and type of mains fuse is specied on the rear
panel of the amp.
Never aempt to bypass the fuse or t one of
the incorrect value or type.
IMPORTANT SET UP INFORMATION
1. When using your amp with one or more
speaker cabinets, make sure that they are
connected to the correct loudspeaker jack
sockets.
Warning: failure to do the above may damage
your amp. When connecng a speaker cabinet
make sure that you use a proper speaker cable.
Never use a screened (shielded) guitar cable for
this purpose.
2. Ensure that the power switch is set to the
o posion and the standby switch is set to
standby.
3. Connect the supplied mains (power) lead
into the mains input on the rear panel rst
and then into an electricity outlet.
4. Ensure that any master, volume and/or
output level controls on the front panel are
set to zero.
5. Plug your guitar into one of the input jack
sockets on the front panel.
6. Turn the front panel power switch on and
wait a couple of minutes.
7. Select between 20W / 5W using the
standby switch.
8. Turn the volume up to your preferred level
and you’re ready to play.
TRANSPORTING YOUR EQUIPMENT
Please ensure that your amp is switched o,
unplugged from the mains electricity supply and
all removable cables have been disconnected
from your equipment before aempng to
move it.
Only move the amp on its own; do not aempt
to move it while it is stacked on top of a cabinet
or other equipment.

FRONT PANEL FUNCTIONS
1. POWER SWITCH
Mains power is on when set to the on posion.
2. STANDBY SWITCH
The unit power is in low power mode (5W)
when set to low, it is set to standby when in the
middle posion and when set to high power the
unit runs at full power (20W).
Standby mode: this should be used during
breaks in performances, instead of leaving the
amp on full power. Always turn the power on for
two minutes before using the standby switch.
3. POWER INDICATOR
Illuminates when unit is switched on.
4. PRESENCE
Adjusts the high frequencies of the power amp.
Increasing the high frequencies adds more bite
to your sound.
5. BASS
Adjusts the low frequencies of the amp. It will
add boom end and depth to your sound.
6. MIDDLE
Adjusts the mid frequencies of the amp. Giving
you anything from a fat and full sound to an
aggressive tone.
7. TREBLE
Adjusts the upper frequencies of the amp. Your
tone will get brighter as it is turned up.
8. HIGH TREBLE / LOUDNESS 1
A volume control that changes the loudness of
the high treble inputs.
9. NORMAL / LOUDNESS 2
A volume control that changes the loudness of
the normal inputs.
10 & 11. HIGH TREBLE INPUTS (1)
The high treble voicing provides a bright, crisp
tone. Plug your guitar into the high sensivity
input (10) for higher gain (or to compensate for
low output pickups) or low sensivity input (11)
for cleaner tones (or to compensate for higher
output pickups).
12 & 13. NORMAL INPUTS (2)
The normal voicing provides a more rounded,
full tone. Plug your guitar into the high
sensivity input (12) for higher gain (or to
compensate for low output pickups) or low
sensivity input (13) for cleaner tones (or to
compensate for higher output pickups).

REAR PANEL FUNCTIONS
1. SPEAKER OUT
1/4” socket for 16 Ohm speaker connecon.
2. SPEAKER OUT
1/4” socket for 8 Ohm speaker connecon
– use this in conjuncon with socket 3 when
plugging in 2 x 16 Ohm cabinets.
3. SPEAKER OUT
1/4” socket for 8 Ohm speaker connecon
– use this in conjuncon with socket 2 when
plugging in 2 x 16 Ohm cabinets.
4. SPEAKER OUT
1/4” socket for 4 Ohm speaker connecon
– use this in conjuncon with socket 5 when
plugging in 2 x 8 Ohm cabinets.
5. SPEAKER OUT
1/4” socket for 4 Ohm speaker connecon
– use this in conjuncon with socket 4 when
plugging in 2 x 8 Ohm cabinets.
Warning: never aempt to connect more
speakers than rated. The safe combinaons are
those listed in this manual. Any other speaker
combinaons may stress the power amp and
potenally lead to valve failure.
Note: never use this amp without a speaker load.
6. DI OUTPUT
Connect your amp to an external recording
device or sound desk using this output socket.
Note: the DI output has added loudspeaker
emulaon.
7. LOOP SWITCH
This turns the eects loop of the amp on or o
to completely remove the loop from the signal
path when switched o.
8. EFFECTS LOOP SEND
Sends signal to eects loop / outboard
equipment.
9. EFFECTS LOOP RETURN
Returns signal to eects loop / outboard
equipment.
10. POWER INLET
The supplied mains power lead is connected here.

votre alimentaon électrique. En cas de

votre vendeur Marshall est en mesure de vous
conseiller à ce sujet.
ENTRÉE SECTEUR ET FUSIBLE
La tension d’alimentaon nominale précise pour
laquelle votre ampli est conçu est indiquée sur
le panneau arrière de l’ampli. Votre amplicateur
est fourni avec un cordon d’alimentaon
détachable à brancher dans la prise secteur sur
le panneau arrière de l’amplicateur.
Ne jamais tenter de dériver le fusible ou
d’installer un fusible dont le type ou la valeur ne
correspondent pas.
INFORMATIONS IMPORTANTES RELATIVES
À L’INSTALLATION :
1. En cas d’ulisaon de l’ampli avec un ou
plusieurs caissons haut-parleurs, s’assurer
que les haut-parleurs sont connectés aux
jacks haut-parleurs corrects.
Averssement : la non-conformité aux
consignes ci-dessus risquerait de provoquer
l’endommagement de votre ampli. Lors du
raccordement d’un caisson haut-parleur, veiller
à uliser un câble pour haut-parleur correct.
Ne jamais uliser à cet eet un câble de guitare
blindé.
2. S’assurer que le commutateur d’alimentaon
est réglé sur la posion o, et que le
commutateur de veille (standby) est réglé
sur standby.
3. Brancher le câble d’alimentaon fourni à
l’entrée secteur sur le panneau arrière avant
de le connecter à la prise secteur.
4. Vérier que toutes commandes master, du
volume et/ou du niveau de sore sur le
panneau avant sont réglées sur zéro.
5. Brancher votre guitare dans l’une des prises
jack d’entrée sur le panneau avant.
6. Enclencher l’interrupteur d’alimentaon du
panneau avant et paenter deux minutes
7. Choisir entre 20W et 5W au moyen du
commutateur standby.
8. Augmenter le volume sur le niveau souhaité :
l’amplicateur est prêt.
TRANSPORT DE VOTRE ÉQUIPEMENT :
Vérier que votre amplicateur est éteint et
débranché de l’alimentaon secteur et que tous
les câbles pouvant être débranchés ont été
déconnectés de l’équipement avant de déplacer
l’amplicateur.

FONCTIONS DU PANNEAU AVANT
1. COMMUTATEUR D’ALIMENTATION
L’alimentaon secteur est acvée lorsque
l’interrupteur est réglé sur marche (on).
2. VEILLE
L’alimentaon de l’appareil est en mode bas
régime (5W) quand l’interrupteur est réglé sur
low (bas), en posion intermédiaire il est réglé
sur standby (veille), et en posion high (élevé)
l’appareil fonconne à plein régime (20W).
Mode Standby (Veille) : doit être ulisé durant
les interrupons de jeu, plutôt que de laisser
l’ampli à plein régime. Toujours laisser allumé
pendant au moins deux minutes avant d’uliser
le commutateur standby.
3. INDICATEUR DE PUISSANCE
S’allume quand l’appareil est allumé.
4. PRÉSENCE
Règle les fréquences hautes de l’ampli
de puissance. En augmentant les hautes
fréquences, on donne plus de mordant au son.
5. BASSES
Règle les fréquences basses de l’ampli. Ajoute
des basses et de la profondeur au son.
6. MÉDIUMS
Règle les fréquences moyennes de l’ampli. Vous
ore la gamme allant d’un son plein et rond à
une tonalité agressive.
7. AIGUËS
Règle les fréquences hautes de l’ampli. Votre son
gagne en éclat lorsque vous augmentez les aiguës.
8. AIGU INTENSE/INTENSITÉ 1
Commande de volume qui modie l'intensité
des entrées aigües intenses.
9. NORMAL/INTENSITÉ 2
Réglage de volume qui modie l'intensité des
entrées normales.
10 ET 11. ENTRÉES AIGÜES INTENSES (1)
L'harmonisaon des sons aigus intenses permet
d'obtenir une tonalité claire et lumineuse.
Branchez votre guitare sur l'entrée haute
sensibilité (10) pour un gain plus élevé (ou pour
compenser les micros à faible sore) ou sur
l'entrée basse sensibilité (11) pour des tonalités
plus nees (ou pour compenser les micros à
sore plus élevée).
