Place to install the machine
☆When determining where to install the machine, consult well with customer.
☆Before installation, check the following.
●Separation distance from inflammables must be sufficiently secured as follows

※Even if the wall is not flammable, make sure the maintenance space is secured.
●Perform installation and other works in accordance with Building Standards Act,
local regulations, Fire Service Act, “Standards and Practical Guidelines for Gas
Appliances Installation” (published by Japan Gas Appliances Inspection
Association) and “Guidelines of Facility Design for Electrical Kitchen Facilities for
Business Purpose”.
●The machine is for indoor use only. Do not install outdoor.
●Do not install in a place where inflammable hazardous substances such as gasoline,
benzene, or adhesives are handled.
●To prevent fire, when installing a thermal machine, install in a place where the
surroundings of the machine and its upper side (back, sides, top, floor, ceiling) are
“architectural structures both base and finish of which are made from
non-inflammable materials *1”.
When installing in a structure other than the abovementioned, heat protection board*2 must
be used or separation distance*3 must be left. Otherwise, it may cause fire.
●The floor on which the machine is installed must have a non-inflammable stru
cture*4.
●Leave maintenance space for maintenance and inspection.

●Leave space between the wall. (If the wall has an inflammable structure)

※As shown in the image below, if an inflammable material finished with
non-inflammable coating, it is not considered as non-inflammable structure and
separation distance from the wall must be secured. Even if the surface is
non-inflammable, the internal structure may catch fire. If separation distance
between the machine and the building cannot be secured, thicken the
non-inflammable coating so the surface temperature of the inflammable material
does not exceed 100℃.
※1Non-inflammable materials are the following under Building Standards Act.
Concrete, bricks, roof tiles, porcelain tiles, asbestos slates, fiber reinforced
cement board, glass fiber cement board (not thinner than 3mm), fiber calcium
silicate board (not thinner than 5mm), steel, aluminum, metal board, glass,
mortar, plaster, stones, gypsum board (not thinner than 12mm, base paper of
the board thinner than 0.6mm), rock wool, glass wool board, etc.
※2Heat protection board is to cover the
surface of inflammable material in the
structure where a thermal machine is
installed so as to contain its surface
temperature less than 100℃.
(Non-inflammable material must be used for
heat protection board)
※3Separation distance is the distance to separate a thermal machine and exhaust
duct with exhaust hood from inflammable articles to secure fire safety. It is
the distance to separate the machine from surrounding inflammable articles to
prevent fire, in the case the machine is installed in “a part of the buildings with
a finish by materials other than non-inflammable materials or any other similar
finish”.
※4 A non-inflammable structure is a structure both the base and the finish of
which are made from non-inflammable materials.

Surroundings of the place where the machine is installed
●Install the machine on a stable, hard and horizontal floor.
●Do not splash water onto the product.
●Do not place or use spray cans, or combustible, volatile or inflammable
substance near the machine.
●Leave spaces so that the machine can be pulled out.
●Do not install the machine in a steaming place such as drain tank.
●Do not place any equipment that uses water near the machine.
●When installing the machine, avoid places where wind blows directly towards
the machine.
Warning
●Do not use in a vehicle or vessel.
●Avoid installing in a place where water easily splashes or a humid place.
It may cause malfunction of parts or electrical leak.
●Keep at least 3m away from TV or radio to prevent noise or disturbance
of image.
●Do not install in a place with a risk of falling object (such as under
a shelf) or under resin lighting fixtures.
●Do not use or place any magnetic articles nearby.
●Do not Install in a place that constantly receives vibration or shock.
●Do not install in a dusty place.
●Do not install in a place where there are specific chemicals (ammonium,
chlorine, acid, etc.) and its vapor.
●Install in a place where there is no problem if water spills.
●Do not place any heavy articles or containers with water on the machine.
●Attach earthquake-resistant metal fittings to adjusts or the main body
Caution

Air supply/exhaust works
●Perform installation and other works in accordance with Building Standards Act, local regulations,
Fire Service Act, Gas Business Act, Liquefied Petroleum Gas Act, and “Standards and Practical
Guidelines for Gas Appliances Installation”(Published by Japan Gas Appliances Inspection
Association).
●The machine emits heat and steam from time to time. Ventilation lets these outside and
prevents pollution of indoor air. Make sure ventilation facilities are installed as well.
●Install an Exhaust duct with hood*5 (mechanical ventilation) effective forventilation right above
athermal machine. If there is resistance in the air supply/exhaust way such as a duct mounted,
choose a ventilating fan taking such resistance into account.
●Create an air supply opening in the room where the machine is installed. The position of the air supply
opening must be a place not to cause any bad impact on the machine but to let air circulate well.
・An ideal position of the air supply opening and the ventilating fan is opposite each
other with the machine in the middle. If the air supply opening and the ventilating
fan are too close, the air from the air supply opening is exhausted right away and
the indoor air may not be replaced.
●If you wish to share the ventilating fan with other machines, calculate taking the
capacity of each machine into account.
●Hood structure must be simple for easy cleaning.
●Exhaust duct must be capable of exhaust air sufficiently.
●Exhaust duct must be connected directly to the outside of the building. Do not connect with
ducts for other use.
●Exhaust duct must be as straight as possible. Inner side of the duct must be finished smooth.
●Exhaust hood and exhaust dust must have more than 10cm of separation distance between
“a part of building finished by a material other than non-inflammable materials”and
inflammable articles.
Warning

Water supply/drain piping works
１）Water supply connection (Water supply port 15A)
●Open Water supply tap and wash away dust and sand etc. from the inside
of the water supply piping before connecting the equipment and the water
supply piping.
●Install hydrant close to water inlet of equipment for maintenance, inspection,
and draining.
●Lead hydrant to water supply Decompression check valve.
●Use union joint in case flexible hose cannot be used.
●The connection part of Water supply piping must be connected securely
to avoid water leakage.
・Please confirm there is no drops adhered etc. by water leakage after
a trial.
●Water supply pressure must be used within the limits from 0.05 to
0.75MPa.
●Water used must be tap water which hardness is less than 80ppm.
●The material of water supply connection piping must be stainless steel
or copper.
●Perform freeze-proof where water freezing is expected.

Electrical works
●When attaching an earth leakage circuit breaker (local switch), refer to the
Image below.
Earth leakage circuit breaker (local switch)
must be mounted at least 1m off the floor.
●Electrical wiring works must be performed by a registered electrician.
●Electrical works must be in accordance with “Technical Standards for Electrical
Equipment”, “Indoor Wiring Regulations”, and “Guidelines of Facility Design for Electrical
Kitchen Facilities for Business Purpose”(published by Japan Electro Heat Center).
●Make sure to ground. (Electrical shock may be caused in case of malfunction or
electrical leak.)
・Class-D grounding (Class-3 grounding) must be performed. Never connect the ground wire to
water pipe, gas pipe, lightning rod, or ground wire for telephone line.
Warning
●Voltage of the power source must be within 90-110% of rated voltage.
●Make sure to attach earth leakage circuit breaker.
●Use dedicated power source.
●Do not modify or apply excessive force to power cord.
●Install the machine in a place where oil does not spatter on power cord.
●Do not wire power cord through hot place.
●Do not use damaged power cord.
●Install electrical outlet in a place where water does not splash
●In case of using power plug, make sure to install it securely not to come out socket
●Make sure a positive-phase connection is used to main power source.
Caution
●Use the power source as indicated (phase, voltage and frequency).
●Do not turn on the main power (local switch) until the completion of works.
