This scooter is equipped with a catalyc converter. The catalyc converter
contains precious metals which act as catalysts. They promote the chemical
reacons that convert the exhaust gases without being aected by these reacons.
The catalyc converter acts on HC, CO and NO gases.
The catalyc converter must operate at high temperature for the chemical
reacons to occur. It is capable of igning any combusble material it comes in
contact with. The scooter should be parked away from tall grass, dead leaves and
other ammable materials.
A faulty catalyc converter contributes to air polluon and can deteriorate the
performance of your engine. The following guidelines must be followed to protect
your scooter’s catalyc converter.
● Always use unleaded gasoline. Even in minimal quanes, lead is likely to
contaminate catalyc metals and cause the converter to lose all its eciency.
● Make sure the engine is well maintained.
● If the engine misres, backres, stalls or generally does not run smoothly, take
the scooter to an authorized dealer for diagnosis and necessary repairs.

The correct re pressure is essenal for the safety
and driving of the scooter. Tire pressure should be
checked before each use. While driving the scooter, re
temperature and pressure will change depending on speed
and load. For this reason, re pressure should only be
checked and adjusted when the res are cold. Normal re
pressure (cold)
Tire pressure
Pression City 2.0, 50cc : Front - 2,25 bar / Rear - 2,25 bar
Warning
• Improper re inaon will cause abnormal tread wear and pose a risk to
driver safety. Under-inaon may cause the scooter to skid or the re to
come o its rim. The driver will then lose control of his vehicle.
• Never overload the scooter beyond the maximum recommended load.
• Overloading can damage the res and aect the handling of the scooter.
• Remove any objects caught in the re drawings.
• Check re wear. If the re is worn to the wear indicator or the rubber has
hardened, replace the res immediately.
• The use of res other than those menoned in the technical specicaons
may compromise the handling of the vehicle.
Spark plug
Carbon deposits and incorrect spark plug electrode spacing can cause the

Storage and cleaning
Prolonged non-use of the scooter during winter or another season requires specic
operaons requiring suitable materials, equipment and techniques.
Scooter
If the scooter will not be used for an extended period of me, perform the
following operaons before storing it: Wash the scooter and stabilize it with its side
stand on hard, level ground. Rotate the handlebars to the le and lock the steering.
Remove the ignion key. Choose a locaon suitable for long-term storage for the
safety of the two-wheeler. Before reusing it, carry out a complete inspecon to
verify the performance of all parts.
Fuel
Before immobilizing the scooter, empty the fuel tank: gasoline is indeed highly
ammable, and can even become explosive under certain condions. Never leave
the scooter near a heat source. Never park it in a place where there are very
ammable materials (grain, coal, coon, etc.): the fuel in the tank could start a re
by coming into contact with the ames.
Tires
Inate the res to normal pressure. Keep their surface clean. Avoid prolonged
exposure to direct sunlight or moisture. Avoid contacng the res with corrosive
soluons (acids, alkalis and oil).
Baery
In case of prolonged non-use, remove the baery and fully charge it before
storing it in a safe place out of the reach of children. Then recharge it once a month
in summer, once every two months in winter. If the baery is le in place for a long
me, recharge it once a month.
Storage and its stages
If the scooter is equipped with a convenonal baery, check the electrolyte level
once a month. If the uid level is low, quickly add dislled water to the upper mark.
(Never use electrolyte or tap water)
Keep the baery clean at all mes. There is a risk of corrosion in the event of
electrolyte splashing on the vehicle body or on the baery terminals and wires. If this
happens, rinse immediately with clean water and apply a layer of grease aer drying.
A lack of power can cause diculty starng, reduce the sound level of the horn and
prevent the turn signals from funconing. Recharge the baery immediately for 15 to
20 hours. Note that prolonged storage of a discharged baery may damage it.
A baery has reached its maximum operang me if: its terminals are covered
with a white deposit; it delivers low power; the electrolyte volume is less than the
minimum mark and, in each of the above cases, if its performance cannot be restored
aer long-term storage, even aer recharging.
Reuse aer storage: the procedure
1. Thoroughly clean the scooter.

34 35 Back to summary
2. Remove the spark plug; press the starter to let the engine run for a few moments
before reinstalling the spark plug.
3. Replace the baery. Note: Do not forget to connect the posive pole before the
negave pole.
4. Inate the res to the pressure specied in the corresponding secon of this
manual.
5. Lubricate all the parts requiring it by proceeding as indicated in this manual.
6. Observe the instrucons in “Pre-ride inspecon” before seng o.
Cleaning
Frequent and regular cleaning is an essenal part of maintaining your Scooter.
Exposure to natural elements (sea breeze, sea water, mud, dust, etc.) and to non-
slip addives spread on the roads in winter, can be a source of vulnerability for the
components of your Scooter. Corrosion and rust can appear even on good quality
parts. Proper maintenance and regular cleaning of your vehicle will not only prolong
its original appearance, but also are essenal in order to maintain warranty rights.
Precauons Before Cleaning
When the engine is cold, protect the exhaust outlet with suitable protecon
(example: plasc bag) to prevent water from entering inside.
Exposed electrical components should be covered with a plasc bag. Check that
the lids and caps are correctly posioned.
Using a degreaser and a so brush, remove any major stains that may be on the
