GET STARTED
Turing the MXH-BT600E ON/OFF
1. In standby mode, press and hold the Multifunctional button for 3-5 seconds until a beep sound is
heard to turn the unit ON, the Indicator LED will flash blue 3 times.
2. To turn the unit OFF, press and hold the Multifunctional button for 3 seconds until a beep sound is
heard. Don’t forget to turn off the Bluetooth feature on your phone or multimedia player.
Pairing the MXH-BT600E
Prior to using the headset for the first time, you have to pair it with a Bluetooth-enabled cell phone.
The pairing procedures are subject to different models of cell phones. Please refer to your cell phone
user’s manual for further information. The general pairing procedures are as follows:
1. Keep your headset and phone within 1 meter when pairing;
2. Press and hold the MULTIFUNCTIONAL button for about 8 seconds to enter the MXH-BT600E
into pairing mode when it is off. The LED will flash red and blue alternatively. Your Bluetooth
enabled device can now scan and connect to “MAXELL MXH-BT600E”
3. After successfully connecting, blue LED flashes 2-3 times every 4 seconds.
OR
4. Plug 3.5mm audio cable from your device to the headphone.
5. Music playing through cable is available with MXH-BT600E.
Remarks:
If pairing fails, please turn off the headset first and then re-pair according to steps 1-3 mentioned
above.
After pairing is successful, the headset and the mobile phone will remember each other, they will not
need to re-pair next time.
Every time the headset is turned on, it will connect to the last connected device automatically. If you
want to pair it with other devices, please turn off the Bluetooth function of last connected device first
and pair the headset with the new device according to steps 1-3 mentioned above.

HEADPHONE OPERATIONS
Using the MXH-BT600E with Bluetooth mobile phones
1. Answer a call: When there is an incoming call, your ring-tone will sound from the headphone and
Blue LED will flash quickly. Short press the multifunctional button to answer the call. Blue LED
flashes once quickly every 4 seconds.
2. End a call: if you want to end the call, short press the multifunction button to hang up, you will hear
an indication tone to confirm the call has been ended successfully.
3. Reject a call: Hold the multifunction button for 3 seconds to reject a call; you will hear an indication
tone to confirm the call has been rejected successfully.
4. Adjust the volume: when answering, dialling or during a call, short press “+” button to increase
volume one increment, and you will hear an indication tone when increase to maximum volume.
Similarly, short press “-” button to decrease the volume an increment, and also an indication tone
when decreased to minimum volume.
5. Redial the last number called: In idle mode, pressing the multifunction button twice will redial the
last outgoing number.
6. Voice dial: In the standby mode, hold the multifunction button for 3 seconds. This feature requires
the support of your mobile phones’ Bluetooth.
7. Call transfer from headphone to phone: During a call , hold the multifunction button for 3 seconds
until hear a tone, then the call has been transferred from the Bluetooth headphone to your phone ,
the same operation can transfer the call from your phone to the Bluetooth headphone
8. Play/Pause: While music is playing, short press the ►ll button to Play/Pause music.
9. Previous/Next song: During playing music, short press ▲button to play the previous song and
short press the ▼button to play the next song.

HEADPHONE OPERATIONS
Using the MXH-BT600E with other Bluetooth devices
Form a wireless connection between Bluetooth-enabled devices through a simple operation. For
example, a Bluetooth Transmitter, it is necessary to operate the mobile phone Bluetooth to search for
Bluetooth devices, select and then connect wirelessly by PIN
1. Keep your headset and the device within 1 meter when pairing;
2. Make the headset to enter pairing mode (Please refer to “PAIRING THE MXH-BT600E”in
previous page);
3. Turn on the Bluetooth devices, it will be searched automatically and will receive a pairing
request(depends on model types)
4. When the headset requests to enter a PIN No., the transmitter will response “0000” automatically;
5. After successful pairing and connecting, blue LED of the headset flashes twice every 4 seconds.
Remarks:
The pairing password of the headset is “0000”. So, the headset can only pair with a Bluetooth
transmitter whose pairing password is “0000”.
If pairing still fails after several tries, please refer to the Bluetooth transmitter’s user’s manual for
further information.
Voice Call
If Bluetooth voice calling is supported with your phone, turn the Voice recognition feature on, and
your headphone as a headset.
1. Press and release the multifunction button once. You will hear a tone to indicate the voice
function is activated.
2. Say the name of person you wish to call clearly and slowly.
(Note: Headphone’s voice call function is determined by your mobile phone. Your phone must
support this function)
Remarks
When the MXH-BT600E disconnects from a mobile phone because it exceeds the effective range
(about 10 meters), it will re-connect to the mobile phone once it is back to the effective range
within 10 minutes. Longer than this, it will need to be re-connected manually.
Pairing mode will last for 5 minutes. Other devices cannot connect to the Bluetooth headphone
during this time.

CHARGING INSTRUCTIONS
Battery charging and low-voltage alert
When the alert tone sounds and the red LED flashes once every 30 seconds, the battery of the
Bluetooth headphone is running low. It will automatically shut down if not charging within 5-10
minutes. Charge the headphone immediately with your smartphone charger adapter through the
USB to Micro-USB cable provided. (Please refer to the charging instructions in the next page).
Note:
The built-in Li-Poly battery that can be recharged either using the USB port on your computer or
from a USB power adaptor (not included) with a rated output of DC5V, 500mA and up
The micro USB CHARGING JACK located on this unit is only designed for charging the built- in
Li-polymer battery.
Charging the battery for the first time
1. Charge the built-in battery a minimum of 2 hours prior to first use. Plug the unit into the USB port
on your computer or into a USB power adaptor (not included) using the included USB cable.
2. The LED indicator will turn RED while charging and turn BLUE when the unit is fully charged.
Unplug the USB cable from the power source once the battery is fully charged.
Recharging the internal battery
After prolonged use, the internal battery will become weak. When the battery power the headphone
MXH-BT600E of is very low, the Indicator LED will flash red and a melody will play alerting you to
recharge the device.
Charging the MXH-BT600E
1. Plug the unit into the USB port on your computer or into a USB power adaptor (not included)
using the included USB cable.
2. The LED indicator will turn RED while charging and turn BLUE when the unit is fully charged
(2-3 hours). Unplug the USB cable from the power source once the battery is fully charged.
Note:
1. Charging time will vary if you are listening to music while charging the internal battery. We
recommend you switch off the headphone power during the charging process.
2. To prolong the life of a rechargeable battery, it is recommended to completely discharge it before
fully charging it again.
3. Rechargeable batteries need to be cycled for maximum performance and longer battery life. If you
don’t use the player that often, makes sure to recharge the battery at least once a month in order
to keeps the internal battery working properly.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE
BATTERY Note and Care
Do not burn or bury batteries.
Do not puncture or crush.
Do not disassemble.
Li-Polymer batteries must be recycled. Do not dispose of in the trash.
Use only chargers rated for Li-Polymer cells. Be sure the charger’s voltage and current settings
are correct for the battery pack being charged.
Charge batteries on a fireproof surface and away from flammable items or liquids.
Batteries should NEVER be left unattended while charging. Only adults should charge the
batteries.
Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for charging the product and do not charge longer than
recommended. Unplug the charger when the battery is charged or not in use.
NOTE:
The headphone is not magnetically shielded and may cause color distortion on the screen of some
TVs or video monitors. To avoid this, you may need to move the unit further away from the TV or
monitor if an unnatural color shifts or image distortion occurs.
MXH-BT600E Note and Care
Avoid operating your unit under direct sunlight or in hot, humid or dustyplaces.
Keep your unit away from heating appliances and sources of electrical noise such as fluorescent
lamps or motors.
Don’t try to disassemble the product as it may get damaged if you are not professional.
Don’t let it fall onto the floor or other hard surfaces. The internal circuit might get damaged.
Don’t scratch the surface with sharp things.
Cleaning the unit
To prevent fire or shock hazard, disconnect your unit from the USB port of power source when
cleaning.
The finish on the unit may be cleaned with a dust cloth and cared for as other furniture, Use
caution when cleaning and wiping the plastic parts.
If the cabinet becomes dusty wipe it with a soft dry dust cloth. Do not use any wax or polish
sprays on the cabinet.
If the front panel becomes dirty or smudged with fingerprints it may be cleaned with a soft cloth
slightly dampened with a mild soap and water solution. Never use abrasive cloths or polishes
as these will damage the finish of your unit.
CAUTION:
Never allow any water or other liquids to get inside the unit while cleaning.

TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE

If the source sound file is of poor quality,
distortion and noise are easily noticed with
high-power headphones. Try a different audio
source such as a music CD.

FACTORY RESET
With the MXH-BT600E switched off, long press MULTIFUNCTION BUTTON AND PAUSE BUTTON for
8 seconds simultaneously and release it until the RED and BLUE LED turn on.
Normal Resetting
If the product is working abnormally, you can plug the 3.5mm Line-in or charge the headset so to reset it.
