READ AND FOLLOW ALL SAFET INSTRUCTIONS
DANGER – RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK – Turn power off before inspection, installation or removal. Properly
ground power supply enclosure.
WARNING – RISK OF FIRE. Use only UL approved wire for input/output connections. Minimum size 18 AWG
(0.82mm2). Follow all NEC and local codes.
Electrical Requirements:
• Acceptable for use in dry, damp and wet locations.
• The grounding and bonding of the LED Driver shall be done in accordance with National Electric Code (NEC)
Article 600.
• Follow all National Electrical Codes (NEC) and local codes.
• These products are only suitable for connection to a circuit from a Class 2 power source.
• These products have not been evaluated for use when connected to a power source that does not comply with
Class 2 voltage and energy limited supplies.
• For wet locations, these products are not required to be enclosed or protected from weather.
Tools Required:
• Wire cutter & strippers • Drill
• Measuring tape • Standard hardware and supplies in addition to the AlphaMax modules
This device complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) This
device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including
interference that may cause undesired operation.
Module Installation:
1. Remove existing neon or fluorescent tubes and associated transformers and ballasts. Follow all federal and
local regulations when disposing of neon tubing, fluorescent tubes, transformers, and ballasts.
2. Any existing holes in the cabinet/channel letter should be patched to avoid water intrusion. Fill in holes 0.5 in.
or smaller with appropriate amount of rated caulk or sealant. For holes greater than 0.5 in., use an aluminum
or zinc coated steel patch with rivets and sealant.
3. Clean and remove all debris from the inside of the channel letter or cabinet. Use a non-oil based cleaner or a
50:50 mixture of isopropyl alcohol and water to ensure good adhesion of the mounting tape. Allow the alcohol
to dry before proceeding.
4. Place modules in sign according to layout. Cut LED strip to the appropriate length for each letter. Cuts can be
made between any of the modules.
5. To adhere the product to the cabinet or channel letter, remove tape backing and press (avoid the lens dome
surface) LED modules into place.
6. f mechanical fasteners are required or desired, use screws, rivets, or silicone to attach LED modules. Use #6
or #8 sheet metal screws or 1/8” rivets.
7. Drill a hole near the LED strip and grommet the hole for supply wire access.

Troubleshooting:
Symptom Solution
All LEDs do not work • Check AC input connection and/or check circuit breaker.
• Check wire connection(s) of modules and power supply
for improper termination(s) or short circuits.
• Check the connection(s) for the correct polarity.
Some LEDs do not work • Check wire connection(s) of the modules and power
supply for improper termination(s) or short circuits.
• Check the connection(s) for the correct polarity.
Some LEDs appear dim • Ensure the overall length of the modules does not exceed
the maximum load.
• Ensure the length of supply wire is equal to or below the
recommended remote mounting distance.
LEDs are blinking • Check for poor wiring connections.
• Ensure the overall length of the modules does not
exceed the maximum load.
• Check to see if the power supply is malfunctioned and
replace power supply.
