APPLICATIONS
These amplifiers are suitable for stage and presentation use, and are especially useful in DJ and music
entertainment applications. The inclusion of an MP3player with USB drive reader allows easy addition of
hours of music to any environment. The reader will directly read MP3and WMA files from standard thumb
drives which can then be mixed with 4/6/8 mic and one tape input.

Front Panel Description
(note only one mic input is shown as all mic channels operate identically)
1. Graphic Equalizer
Allows five bands of tone control. Each control provides 12dB of boost or cut, centered on the following
frequencies: 60Hz, 250Hz, 800Hz, 2KHz and 8KHz. Equalizer adjustment effects the final mix, including all
input channels and the MP3 player.
2. Phantom Power Indicator
Indicates that 15VDC of phantom power is being provided to all mic inputs.
3. Phantom Power Selector
Turns 15VDC phantom power ON/OFF to all mic inputs.
4. Power LED Indicators
Top POWER LED lights blue when unit is powered ON. Lower five LED's show relative power output of the
amplifier. Three green LED's indicate safe operating range of the amplifier. Yellow indicates that the
amplifier is delivering its rated RMS output power. RED indicates the amplifier is exceeding the RMS
rating. At high volume levels it is suitable for the RED LED to intermittently blink for very short intervals.
However beyond this, the amplifier output is clipping, which can cause damage to connected speakers.
5. Master Volume Control
Rotary switch controls the master volume of the amplifier, including all input channels, the CD/Tape input
and the MP3 player.
6. CD/Tape Level Control
Adjusts the Level of the CD/Tape RCA inputs (rear panel)
7. Reverb Level (present on each input channel)
Adjusts the amount of reverb effects that is included with the signal provided at that input. Overall reverb
volume, depth and delay are adjusted via controls 13, 14 and 15.
8. Treble Level (present on each input channel)
This control adjusts high frequencies centered at 10KHz at a rate of ±15dB, for the signal provided at that
input.
9. Bass Level (present on each input channel)
This control adjusts low frequencies centered at 100Hz at a rate of ±15dB, for the signal provided at that
input.

10. Mic Input (present on each input channel)
Standard female XLR connection accepts low impedance balanced microphone input.
11. Mic Input (present on each input channel)
Standard female 1/4" connection accepts high impedance unbalanced microphone input.
12. Channel Level Control (present on each input channel)
Adjusts the level of that input channel applied to the mix.
13. Effects Volume
Adjusts the overall level of the echo effects processor. Note that actual level of the processor is
independently controlled at each input channel.
14. Effects Echo
Controls echo "depth", or the actual "number" of echoes that occur.
15. Effects Delay
Controls the delay time between the echoes.
16. USB Input Level Control
Adjusts the level of the MP3and WMA file applied to the mix.
17. USB Input
Accepts standard USB style flash memory "thumb drives". This unit will read audio files saved in MP3and
WMA formats, regardless of bit rate.
Rear Panel Description
1. Tape Input
Dual RCA female inputs accept unbalanced line level signal from a CD player, tape player or similar
device. Separate Left/Right connections are provided for convenience when used with stereo equipment,
however channels are tied together internally. The front panel CD/Tape control (#6) adjusts the level of
this signal to the mix.
2. Tape Record Output
Dual RCA female outputs provide unbalanced line level signal to drive a record input on a tape player or
similar device. Separate Left/Right connections are provided for convenience when used with stereo
equipment, however channels are tied together internally. The signal from this output is unaffected by the
equalizer or master level control, but is affected by the relative level from each input channel and the MP3
player.
3. Power Switch
Provides master power ON/OFF control for the mixer, amplifier and MP3 player.
4. Power Cord Connection
Accepts standard detachable IEC power cord. This unit must be provided 115VAC, 60Hz.

5. Speaker Output Connections
Standard 1/4" female connections provide speaker output. Two connectors are provided for convenience
when connecting two speaker systems, and are internally tied together. Note that the minimum
impedance load that this amplifier can accept is 4Ω. Lower impedance loads will cause permanent damage
to the amplifier, not covered by the manufacturer's warranty.
To explain clearly:
8Ωspeakers – No more than two may be connected to this amplifier
4Ωspeakers – No more than one may be connected to the amplifier
16Ωspeakers – No more than four may be connected to the amplifier
Failure to follow the above guidelines will cause permanent damage to the amplifier, which will not be
covered under the manufacturer's warranty.
If questions exist regarding speaker connections and limitations, contact MCM Electronics Technical
Support Department.
6. Effects Return
Returns line level signal from external effects processor
7. Effects Send
Sends line level signal from the master mix to an external effects processor
Operating the amplifier
•If this is the first time operating the amplifier, make certain that all volume adjustments are set to
the minimum position (5, 6, 12 and 16) and the power switch is in the OFF position
•Be certain that the amplifier is connected to a suitable power source and speakers and all desired
input devices are properly connected
•Turn the amplifier power switch to the ON (up) position
•The blue LED (front panel #2), green LED's in each equalizer control and the MP3 player display
backlight should all light
•Adjust the master volume control (#5) to the mid position

control until the mic volume reaches the desired level
•If a line level device is connected to the Tape input. adjust the CD/Tape control until the volume
reaches the desired level
•Adjust the Bass and Treble controls to the desired level
•If a USB thumb drive is inserted into the appropriate slot, the amplifier will automatically begin
playing the first music file (see details below)
•If no thumb drive is inserted, the display will show "No Udisk – Please Add Udisk"
•If a thumb drive is inserted, an abbreviated file name, file number and total track time will appear
on the LCD display
•While audio is played through he amplifier, the LED output indicator (#4) will show relative power
output
Operating the MP3Player
The built in media player is compatible with all MPP
3and WMA audio files, and will play them automatically
when media is inserted into the player. It should be noted however that certain MP3files downloaded from
subscription services may contain copyright protection that will prevent them from being played in this
unit. Also, this unit will not read iTunes files downloaded for the iPod. As with any MP3player, the most
reliable source for music files to play on this amplifier is MP3or WMA files created from ripping CD's or
copying vinyl on a standard PC.
Operation
•Make certain the amplifier power switch is in the ON position
•Make certain the MP3 volume level (#16) is fully counterclockwise
•Insert a USB thumb drive containing desired music files
•Turn the MPP
3player on by rotating the AUX volume control clockwise to the 9 o'clock position
•The display will show 001 and begin playing the first song
•Adjust the volume level (#16) to the desired level
