Ensure you are on a non-slip surface. Stand up
with the garment partially zipped up. Lift the
trousers and zip the remainder of the garment
on each side. Adjust the garment to t your
body without rotating, twisting, or large
creasing of the material.

Plug your power lead in, ensuring that it is
not a trip hazard.
(Often you will need to visit the bathroom
during treatment due to uid evacuation).

Find the position where you will be rested
during treatment on a bed or couch where
your legs are elevated and supported.
Place the device somewhere easily
accessible.
Wear lightweight long pants under the Bio
Compression pants.

Connect cuff hose to the device, ensuring
the numbers and indicators match.

Unzip the pant garment partially and place
it on the couch or bed. If seated, step each
foot into position ensuring the heels are
located to the back of the garment. Zip the
legs up as far as you can.

Sit as far back on the chair or bed as able.

Use your upper body as a counter weight to
lift your legs up onto the couch/bed.

Turn the controller on by pressing the
red switch.

Whilst the compression pump is running
please read the ‘Settings Navigation Guide.’
Allow the device run for at least 10 minutes
after any setting change you make for the
full effect to be felt.
To turn the device off press the red
switch on the controller. The pump will
take a moment to partially deate the
garment and then the light will dim.
If you wish to clean the garment at any time,
simply use warm soapy water or Clinell
wipes. These specic cleaning wipes can
be purchased from Medi-Rent and do not
contain alcohol like many other sanitising
wipes which can damage the garments. Do
not place in washing machine or dryer.

periods adhere to pressure area prevention techniques such as changing position regularly and
sitting/lying on a supportive surface.
CONTRAINDICATIONS FOR USING A COMPRESSION PUMP
* Known or suspected deep vein thrombosis
* Active metastatic disease affecting oedematous region
* Pulmonary embolism
* Thrombophlebitis
* Cellulitis or other infection not treated with antibiotics
* Uncontrolled/severe cardiac failure
* Pulmonary oedema

advised by your health professional,
starting pressure should be 40mmHg.
The ideal treatment session is 60
minutes.
Set the pressure by unscrewing the lock
mechanism and rotating the dial to the
set pressure. Tighten the screw when in
place.
