OPERATING THE COMPRESSOR NEBULIZER
1. Assure the unit can be easily reached from a comfortable upright
position. Place the compressor nebulizer on a flat and stable surface.
2. Open the cover and remove the jet nebulizer.
3. To disassemble the jet nebulizer, gently twist the top part of the jet
nebulizer counter-clockwise.
4. Fill the bottom section of the jet nebulizer (medicine cup) with the
medication prescribed by the physician. Break the ampoule and
pour the medication into the medicine cup. To prevent spillage, do
not overfill the medicine cup of the jet nebulizer. The maximum
capacity is 6ml (cc). (see diagram 1 on pg 7)
5. To reassemble the jet nebulizer, gently twist the top part clockwise.
Be sure the two sections fit well. (see diagram 2 on pg 7)
6. Attach either the mouthpiece or mask to the top outlet of
nebulizer. NOTE: You may also use the air tubing to connect the
nebulizer to the compressor unit. To connect, insert connector end
of air tube into the compressor air output port, and insert the other
end to the bottom of the jet nebulizer. (see diagram 3 & 4 on pg 7)
7. Replace the jet nebulizer onto the compressor making sure it sits
firmly on the compressor air output port by gently pushing down on
it until it fits securely into position. (see diagram 5 on pg 7)
8. Connect the Compressor to a power source:
USING THE AC ADAPTER:
1. Insert the AC adapter plug into the unit.
2. Plug the AC adapter into a standard AC electrical outlet.
USING BATTERY PACK:
When electrical power is not available, the Compressor Nebulizer
can also operate with the rechargeable battery pack.
1. Place the compressor on top of the battery pack and slide
forward to affix.
2. To remove battery pack, press the release button under
power switch. (see diagram 6 on pg 7)

7
3. Reinsert the unit over the back portion of the battery pack and
slide it forward to lock into place.
C. USING THE DC ADAPTER:
1. Insert the DC adapter plug into the unit.
2. Plug the DC adapter into a car electric outlet (12V).
9. Press power switch on to begin the prescribed treatment.
NOTE: The life of the battery is approximately 2 years.
However, battery life will vary depending on usage, storage and
charging conditions.
CHARGING THE BATTERY PACK:
To charge the battery, insert the AC adapter plug into receptacle
of battery pack. Then plug the AC adapter into a standard AC
electrical outlet. (see diagram 7 on pg 8)
BATTERY CHARGING TIME: 4-12 hours

1. When in use, keep the unit in an upright position.
2. The user should be in a relaxed comfortable position.
3. As directed by the physician or licensed therapist, either use the
mouthpiece or an appropriate user mask to deliver the mist for
proper treatment.
A. When using the mouthpiece, place it between the teeth and
close the lips comfortably around mouthpiece.
B. When using the adult mask, assure that it fits securely on the
face so the mist does not get into the user’s eyes.
C. When using the child mask, position the mask lightly on the
user’s face.
4. To begin the misting process, turn the unit on.
5. Inhale the drug as prescribed by a physician or respiratory
therapist. Only the medication prescribed by the physician for
aerosol therapy should be used for this device.
A. The misting will start shortly after turning on the device.
B. Inhale slowly through the mouth for three to five seconds.
C. Hold for ten seconds and then exhale.
6. During the inhalation it is important that the device be kept in the
vertical position; this guarantees correct functioning of the device
and maximum effectiveness of the treatment.
7. As the medication in the jet nebulizer begins to run out, the
generated mist will no longer be constant. However, continue the
therapy until the mist has completely dissipated.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
As with the majority of the devices for aerosol treatment, at the end of
the inhalation, a certain amount of the drug (about 0.95ml) will remain
in the jet nebulizer which is perfectly normal. This portion of the drug,
also called residual volume, cannot be nebulized and should be dis-
carded per your local ordinances.
INHALATION OF DRUG

9
1. Do not operate the unit in the presence of anesthetic gases, which may
be come flammable when in contact with air, oxygen or nitrous oxide.
2. Make sure battery poles do not come in contact with keys, coins or any
other metal objects that can short circuit them.
PROPER USE OF THE RECHARGEABLE BATTERY PACK
1. Use only the battery recommended by the manufacturer and be
careful to insert the battery pack onto the unit properly to avoid
damage to the connector. Refer to product identification page for
reordering information.
2. In case of failure and/ or malfunction, do not attempt to open the
battery pack or replace any components. Contact an authorized
Medline representative for any repairs 1-800-MEDLINE.
3. Only use original AC/DC or car adapter to charge the battery.
4. The life expectancy may be reduced if the battery is exposed to
adverse conditions such as extreme temperatures and overcharging.
5. To prevent excessive discharging, keep the battery detached from the
nebulizer when not in use.
6. When the nebulizer’s power indicator light changes to red, this is
indicative of a low battery. If you are not going to recharge the battery
immediately detach the battery pack from the unit.
