Gratulation zum Erwerb dieses Produkts. Bitte lesen Sie die Gebrauchsanweisung sorgfältig durch,
bevor Sie das Fieberthermometer zum ersten Mal benutzen und verwahren Sie diese an einem sicheren
Ort. Dieses Produkt ist zur Messung der menschlichen Körpertemperatur gedacht.
BEDIENUNGSANLEITUNG
Vor jeder Benutzung muss der Sensor desinfiziert oder mit einer Schutzhülle überzogen werden.
Drücken Sie die AN/AUS-Taste neben dem Display zum Einschalten, ein kurzer Ton signalisiert „Ther-
mometer an“. Gleichzeitig führt das Thermometer einen Selbstcheck durch, währenddessen auf dem
Display „188.8“ aufleuchtet. Das Thermometer zeigt die zuletzt gespeicherte Temperatur für 2 Sekun-
den an. Sobald der Buchstabe „L“ und ein blinkendes „°C“ angezeigt werden, ist das Thermometer
einsatzbereit.
Liegt die Umgebungstemperatur unter 32 °C, wird „Lo °C“ angezeigt, liegt sie über 42,9 °C, wird
„Hı °C“ angezeigt. Während des Messvorgangs wird die aktuelle Temperatur bei blinkendem „C“ an-
gezeigt. Die Messung ist abgeschlossen, sobald eine konstante Temperatur erreicht wurde, d.h. diese
nicht mehr als 0,1 °C in 16 Sekunden ansteigt. Ein zehnmaliger Piepton sowie ein Ende des Blinkens
des Buchstabens „C“ signalisiert das Ende der Messung. Die höchste gemessene Temperatur erscheint
auf dem Display. Bitte beachten Sie allerdings, dass dieses Produkt ein Maximum-Thermometer ist,
was bedeutet, dass die Temperatur sich noch geringfügig erhöhen kann, wenn die Messung nach dem
Piepton weiter andauert. Dies kommt vor allem bei Messungen in der Achselhöhle vor, wenn ein Wert
gemessen wird, der ungefähr der Körperkerntemperatur entspricht. In diesem Fall beachten Sie bitte
die Hinweise im Absatz „Messarten“. Die automatische Abschaltung erfolgt nach 10 Minuten, sie
können das Thermometer auch manuell durch Drücken der AN/AUS-Taste ausschalten.
SPEICHERFUNKTION
Drücken Sie die AN/AUS-Taste zum Einschalten, ein kurzer Ton signalisiert „Thermometer an“. Zur
gleichen Zeit führt das Thermometer einen Selbstcheck durch, währenddessen „188.8“ auf dem Dis-
play aufleuchtet. Der zuletzt gemessene Wert wird automatisch ca. 2 Sekunden lang angezeigt. Dieser
wird überschrieben, sobald ein neuer Temperaturwert gemessen wurde.
MESSARTEN
Bitte beachten Sie, dass die gemessene Körpertemperatur je nach Messart variiert. Aus diesem Grund
muss die Messart immer mit angegeben werden, wenn Messwerte dokumentiert werden.
Rektale Messung
Dies ist medizinisch gesehen die beste Messmethode, da hier die innere Körpertemperatur am ge-
nauesten gemessen werden kann. Die Messspitze wird vorsichtig bis maximal 2 cm weit in den After
eingeführt. Wir empfehlen eine Messzeit von 40 - 60 Sekunden.
Axillare Messung (in der Achselhöhle)
Platzieren Sie die Messspitze so unter dem Arm, dass sie guten Hautkontakt hat. Pressen Sie den Arm
dicht an den Körper. Wir empfehlen eine Messzeit von 80 - 120 Sekunden. Bitte beachten Sie, dass in
der Achselhöhle gemessene Werte sich bis zu 0,5 °C bis 1,5 °C von rektal gemessenen Werten unter-
scheiden können, da die Temperatur äußerlich gemessen wurde. Ungenaue Temperaturen können sich
beispielsweise durch ausgekühlte Achselhöhlen ergeben. In diesem Fall empfehlen wir eine Verlän-
gerung der Messdauer auf etwa 5 Minuten. Die axillare Messmethode ergibt aus medizinischer Sicht
ungenauere Ergebnisse und sollte nicht angewandt werden, wenn Sie präzise Messwerte wünschen.
Orale Messung (im Mund)
Im Mundraum befinden sich unterschiedliche Wärmezonen. Im Allgemeinen liegt die orale Temperatur
0,3 °C bis 0,8 °C unter der rektalen Temperatur. Um ein optimales Messergebnis zu gewährleisten,
führen Sie die Messspitze in eine der Wärmetaschen links oder rechts der Zungenwurzel ein. Schließen
Sie den Mund und atmen Sie gleichmäßig durch die Nase. Bitte essen oder trinken Sie nicht direkt vor
der Messung. Wir empfehlen eine Messzeit von 50 - 70 Sekunden.
Hinweis: Wir empfehlen die rektale Messung als präziseste Methode zur Ermittlung der Basaltempera-
tur und empfehlen Ihnen, die Messzeit um 3 Minuten nach dem Signalton zu verlängern.
REINIGUNG UND DESINFEKTION
Reinigen Sie das Thermometer vor und nach jeder Anwendung gründlich, idealerweise mit einem
weichen Tuch und einem Desinfektionsmittel (z.B. 70% Ethyl-Alkohol). Das Thermometer ist wasser-
dicht und kann somit zur Reinigung und Desinfektion in lauwarmes Wasser oder andere Flüssigkeiten
getaucht werden.
SICHERHEITSHINWEISE
• Das Thermometer darf nicht mit heißen Flüssigkeiten in Kontakt kommen.
• Schützen Sie das Gerät vor heißen Temperaturen und direktem Sonnenlicht.
• Lassen Sie das Thermometer nicht fallen. Es ist weder stoß- noch schlagfest.
• Verändern Sie nichts am Gerät ohne Erlaubnis des Herstellers.
• Benutzen Sie nur Wasser oder Desinfektionsmittel zur Reinigung, kein Verdünnungsmittel, Benzin etc.
• Tauchen Sie das Thermometer nicht tiefer als 15 cm und nicht länger als 30 Minuten unter Wasser.
• Das Thermometer enthält Kleinteile (Batterie, Batteriefach), die von Kindern verschluckt werden
könnten. Gerät daher nicht unbeaufsichtigt Kindern überlassen.
• Verbiegen Sie die Messspitze nicht.
• Liegt die Umgebungstemperatur über 35 °C, tauchen Sie die Messspitze vor der Messung für
5 – 10 Sekunden in kaltes Wasser.
• Länger anhaltendes Fieber, insbesondere bei Kindern, muss von einem Arzt behandelt werden.

• Um Messungenauigkeiten zu vermeiden, benutzen Sie das Thermometer nicht in der Nähe starker
elektromagnetischer Felder wie Handys oder Radios.

Congratulations on your purchase of this product. Please read the instructions carefully before using
the thermometer for the first time, and keep these in a safe place. This product is intended for the
measurement of human body temperature.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Before using, please disinfect the probe at first.
To switch on, press the ON/OFF button next to the display; a short beep will sound, indicating that the
thermometer is operational. At the same time the thermometer runs a self-check test, during which
”188.8” appears on the LCD. When the letters ”Lo“ and a flashing ”°C“ display, the thermometer
is now ready for use.
If the ambient temperature is below 32 °C, then ”Lo °C“ will appear on the LCD and if it is more
than 42.9 °C, then ”HI °C“ will appear on the LCD. During the reading, the current temperature is
displayed continuously and the ”°C“ symbol flashes. The measurement is completed when a con-
stant temperature value has been reached. The temperature value is considered constant when the
temperature rises less than 0.1 °C within 16 seconds. As soon as the constant temperature value is
reached, a beep will sound ten times, and the ”°C“ symbol will stop flashing. The highest temperature
measured appears on the LCD. However, please note that this thermometer is a maximum thermome-
ter, i.e. the displayed temperature can increase slightly if measurement continues after the beep. This
is particularly the case with axillary measurements, should a temperature value be recorded which
approximates the core body temperature. In this instance please note the description under ”Methods
of measuring temperature“. When the measurement is completed, please switch the thermometer off
by pressing the ON/OFF button. After the temperature has been displayed, the thermometer will shut
off automatically in 10 minutes.
MEMORY FUNCTION
Switch the thermometer on, a short beep will sound. At the same time the thermometer runs a self-
check test, during which “188.8” appears on the LCD. After that the last reading value with ”°C” will
appear automatically on the LCD for about 2 seconds. The reading is only over-written when a new
temperature value is recorded.
METHODS OF MEASURING TEMPERATURE
It is important to remember that the body temperature reading depends on the site where it is meas-
ured. For this reason, the measurement site must always be specified in order to ensure that a correct
temperature reading is recorded.
In the rectum (rectal)
This is the most accurate method from a medical point of view, because it comes closest to the core
body temperature. The thermometer tip is inserted carefully into the rectum for a maximum of 2 cm.
The usual measuring time is approximately 40 to 60 seconds.
Under the arm (axillary)
Placing the thermometer in the armpit provides a measurement of surface temperature that can fluc-
tuate by around 0.5 °C to 1.5 °C from rectal temperature readings in adults. The usual measuring
time for this method is approximately 80 to 120 seconds. It should be noted, however, that an exact
reading cannot be obtained if, for example, the armpits have been allowed to cool. If this is the case,
we recommend extending the measuring time by around 5 minutes in order to obtain the most precise
possible reading that corresponds as closely as possible to the core body temperature.
In the mouth (oral)
There are different heat zones in the mouth. As a general rule, the oral temperature is 0.3 °C to
0.8 °C lower than the rectal temperature. To ensure that reading is as accurate as possible, place the
thermometer tip to the left or right of the root of the tongue. The thermometer tip must have constant
contact with the tissue during the reading and be placed under the tongue in one of the two heat
pockets at the back, keep the mouth closed during the reading and breathe evenly through the nose.
Do not eat or drink anything before the measurement. The usual measuring time is approximately 50
to 70 seconds.
Note: We strongly recommend the rectal method as the most accurate method for identifying the basal
temperature, and advise you to extend the measuring time by 3 minutes after the beep.
CLEANING AND DISINFECTION
The best way to clean the thermometer tip is by applying a disinfectant (e.g. 70% ethyl alcohol) with
a damp cloth. It shall be disinfected before each use. This thermometer is guaranteed waterproof and
can therefore be immersed in liquid or lukewarm water for thorough cleaning and disinfection.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
• Do not allow the device to come into contact with hot water.
• Do not expose to high temperatures or direct sunlight.
• Do not drop the thermometer. It is neither shock-proof nor impact-resistant.
• Do not modify this device without authorization of manufacturer.
• Do not clean with thinners, petrol or benzenel. Only clean with water or disinfectant.
• Do not immerse the thermometer under water 15 cm for longer than 30 minutes.
• The thermometer contains small parts (battery, battery compartment) which can be swallowed by
children. For this reason, do not leave the thermometer unattended in the hands of children.
• Avoid bending the thermometer tip.
• If the ambient temperature is over 35 °C, dip the thermometer tip in cold water for approx.
5 to 10 seconds prior to measuring the temperature.
• Persistent fever, in particular in children, has to be treated by a doctor – please get in touch with
your doctor!
• Do not use near strong electromagnetic fields, i.e. keep it away from any radio systems and mobile
phones.

CALIBRATION CHECK
This thermometer is initially calibrated at the time of manufacture. If this thermometer is used accord-
ing to the operation instruction, periodic re-adjustment is not required. The calibration check has to
be carried out immediately, if there are indications that the product does not keep the defined error
limits or the calibration properties could have been affected by an intervention or by any other means.
Please also observe any national statutory regulations. The calibration check can be carried out by the
competent authorities or by authorised service providers. A test instruction for calibration check can be
provided to the relevant authorities and authorised services providers on request.
WARRANTY
This product is warranty for 1 year from the date of leave factory. Damage resulting from incorrect use
or abuse is not covered by the warranty. Battery and packaging are excluded from the warranty. Claims
beyond this, including claims for damages, are excluded. If you find that the thermometer is defective
and not in good function, please firstly check the battery before sending in for repair. The manufacturer
will make available on request circuit diagrams, component part lists, descriptions, calibration instruc-
tions, or other information that will assist service personnel to repair those parts of device.
