Operating instructions

Press the [Mode] button to switch between modes:
“Cool”…………………Cooling
“Heat”…………………Heating
“Cool” & “Heat”………Auto mode
“Fan”…………………. Fan only
Notes:
- During demand for cooling or heating, the active mode will flash.
Press the [On/Off] button to turn the thermostat ON or OFF.

Press and hold the [Fan] (C/F) button (10 sec.) to switch between
temperature scales.

Press and hold the [On/Off] button (10 sec.) to activate/deactivate
Economy mode.
Note: While in Economy mode, the display will alternate between
“EC” and room temperature and the thermostat will use predefined
set-points for cooling and heating (See technician settings).

Make sure the set point temperature is not 10°C / 50°F.
Press and hold the [Mode] button (10 sec.) to lock/unlock the thermostat
buttons.
Note: When locked, all buttons except [On/Off] are disabled.
When attempting to press a locked button, “LC” will appear on display.

Installation
The ETN24-PM-HP-SUPER is designed for wall mounting in the room to be controlled. It should be
located where the occupant can easily read the LCD display and use the controls. If the built in
temperature sensor is being used to measure room temperature, the module should be placed where the
temperature is representative of the general room conditions. Cold or warm air draughts; radiant heat and
direct sunlight should be avoided.
General points to follow:
- Disconnect power to the main board before installing the unit.
- The standard height to install this unit is 1.5 meter (5 feet) from the floor.
Installation procedure:
A. Separate the front panel from back panel by pressing the tongue located in the top of the unit and
pull the back panel out.
B. Line the back panel up against the wall or flat surface. Install three screws as required.
C. Make electrical connections as shown on enclosed electrical wiring diagram.
D. Install the cove to the back panel; first the two tabs on the bottom and then the top tongue. Push
until tight against the wall.

Enter technician settings mode
Adjust set point temperature to 10°C (50°F)
Press and hold the [Mode] button for 10 seconds – the open/close time of the
valve will appear on display.
Temperature limit for cooling
Press the [Mode] button again – “Cool” will flash.
Use the [+] and [-] buttons to adjust the temperature limit for cooling.
Range: 10...32°C (50...90°F), Default 10°C (50°F).
Temperature limit for heating
Press the [Mode] button again – “Heat” will flash.
Use the [+] and [-] buttons to adjust the temperature limit for heating.
Range: 10...32°C (50...90°F), Default 32°C (90°F).
Set point temperature for cooling in economy mode
Press the [Mode] button again – “Cool” and “Aux” will flash.
Use the [+] and [-] buttons to adjust the set point temperature for cooling in
economy mode.
Range: 12...32°C (54...90°F), Default 28°C (82°F).
Set point temperature for heating in economy mode
Press the [Mode] button again – “Heat” and “Aux” will flash.
Use the [+] and [-] buttons to adjust the set point temperature for heating in
economy mode.
Range: 10...30°C (50...86°F), Default 30°C (86°F).
The Open/Close time of the valve can be adjusted, according to motor’s
specifications. Adjustable range: 10-400 seconds, Default 20 seconds.
Adjust the Open/Close time using the [+] or [-] buttons according to the
following equation:
Time (seconds) = ( 1 ÷ 40 ) X 10 example: 30 30 X 10 = 300 seconds.

Temperature display (Set point only or room and set point)
Press the [Mode] button again – “tr” will appear on display.
Use the [+] and [-] buttons to select between:
“tr” + “OFF” - Set point temperature only
“tr” + “ON” - Room temperature and set point
Note: In the room and set point option, press the [+] or [-] buttons to
view the set point.
Backlight ON or OFF (the backlight may not be available in all models)
Press the [Mode] button again – “bL” will appear on display.
Use the [+] and [-] buttons to select between:
“ON” - Back light ON
“OFF” - Backlight OFF
On/Off or Start/Stop configuration
Press the [Mode] button again – “St” will appear on display.
Use the [+] and [-] buttons to select between:
“ON” - Unit will remain OFF after an electrical blackout (Start/Stop)
“OFF” - Unit will return to previous state after an electrical blackout (On/Off)
Press the [Mode] button again to return to normal display.
Freeze protection control

In the event of extremely low indoor temperatures conditions, the Freeze
protection function will override any existing mode and automatically switch the
1st heating stage ON (without indication to user).
When the room temperature drops below 7°C (45°F), the thermostat will switch to
heat mode and start the first heating stage (valve).
When room temperature returns to 8°C (47°F), freeze protection will turn OFF.
Freeze protection will start when the thermostat is either ON or OFF.
Press the [Mode] button again – “FP” will appear on display.
Use the [+] and [-] buttons to select between:
“FP” + “ON” - Enable freeze protection
“FP” + “OFF” - Disable freeze protection
Offset for calibration of measured temperature
Press the [Mode] button again – “OFF” and “SET” will flash.
Use the [+] and [-] buttons to adjust the offset.
Range: -5…+5°C (-9…+9°F), Default 0°C (0°F).
