Ethernet Activity LED Amber ashing indicates data is being transmitted / received
by the unit.
Ethernet Link LED Solid green light stands for a live connection is established.
9 Video Out To connect monitor out cable for video output signal.
10 Audio Input Connecting to an auxiliary microphone to record ambient audio from the camera.
Audio Output Connecting to a speaker that transmits voice from control end.
11 Alarm Output Connecting to a device that responds to alarm signals.
Alarm Input Connecting to a device that triggers alarm signals.
Caution
Note
To avoid damage to the unit, never connect more than one type of power supply (PoE IEEE802.3 Ethernet
Class 0 or DC 12V/ AC24V power plug) at the same time. If using PoE, this camera is to be connecting only
to PoE networks without routing to heterogeneous devices.
Power supply terminal/adaptor for IO connectors and eld wiring should comply with the Class 2 Circuit
standard for ensuring safety from electrical res and providing acceptable protection against electrical
shock.

2Installation
2.1 Package Content
Check everything in the packing box matches to the order form and the packing slip. In addition to this manual, items below
are included in the packing box.
 One Network Dome PTZ Camera
 One printed Quick Start Guide
 One mounting template
 One ceiling bracket kit
 Three bracket screws
 Three bracket screw anchors
 One 4-pin terminal block for audio input/output
 One monitor out cable
Please contact your dealer if any item is missing.
2.2 Installation
Following tools might help you complete the installation:
 a drill
 screwdrivers
 wire cutters
2.2.1 Checking Appearance
When rst unboxing, please check whether if there is any visible damage to appearance of the unit and its accessories. The
protective materials used for the packaging should be able to protect the unit from most of accidents during transportation.
Please remove the protective lm of the unit when every item is checked in accordance with the list in“2.1 Package Content”.
2.2.2 Mounting the Camera
The camera can be mounted on a ceiling or a wall (other equipment required). One bracket and 3 mounting screws are
provided for ceiling mounting. The following mounting procedure will be demo under ceiling type.

Step 1. Mark Mounting Area
 Use the mounting template to mark out and prepare a mounting area.
1. Place the supplied mounting template on a mounting surface. Drill 7 mm holes x 3 at the mounting
surface corresponding to the 3 indicated positions for plastic anchors (supplied).
2. Please then insert the 3 plastic anchors (supplied) into the 3 drilled holes on the mounting surface.
3. The Cable Channel indicated is an area preserved for cables entry and should be placed at the rear
side of the camera. Also, Front indicated clearly shows the forward side of the camera.

Step 2. Mounting Scheme
 Fasten the unit to the mounting ceiling surface with safety wire.
1. Directly use 3 screws to attach the bracket to the ceiling until the bracket is tightened safely.
Caution Be sure to tighten the screw nuts rmly as the following gure shown.

2. Attach the safety wire to the hook of the camera to ensure the camera won’t fall down.
3. Push the hooks (x4) of the ceiling bracket into the hook holes (x4) of the camera bottom.

4. Push the camera upward to attach the bottom of the camera to the ceiling bracket tightly and then
push the camera body forward. Finally, the camera is assembled to the ceiling bracket rmly.
5. Finally, connect to the power supply and the network cable to the connectors on the back of camera.

2.2.3 Dismantle the Camera from the Ceiling Bracket
The camera can be detached from the ceiling bracket with ease.

2. Press up the circle marked hook with one hand, and pull the camera body backward by the other
hand to fully dismantle the camera from the ceiling bracket.

Warning Depending on the mounting surface, you may require dierent screws and anchors from those supplied, e.g.,
wall mounting. Please purchase required equipment depending on your desired applications.

2.2. Connecting the Wires
After opening the rear lid of the camera, you will see various connectors for dierent usages. Please refer to the following
parts for more details.
Power
AC 24V
Connect the power terminal with AC 24V power source.
DC 12V
Connect 12V (-) to terminal =DC 12V-, and connect 12V (+) to terminal =DC 12V+
PoE
Connect the RJ-45 jack to a PoE compatible network device that supplies power and internet
connection capability through the Ethernet cable.
Caution • Never connect more than one type of power supplies at the same time to avoid
damage to the unit.
• If using DC supply, make sure the polarity is correct. Incorrect connection may
cause malfunction and/or damage to the unit.
Control
Network
Insert audio in/out cables and alarm in/out cables to the corresponding connectors of the unit if required.
Using an Ethernet cable, connect one end to the RJ-45 connector of the unit and the other end to a LAN port of a network device,
such as a hub, a switch, or a router, on your local network to obtain network connectivity.

3Connection
3.1 Network Topology
The unit, which is equipped with Ethernet RJ-45 network interface, can deliver video images and audio in real time via either
Internet or Intranet. Please refer to the skeleton drawings shown below for understanding.

Below table lists the minimum requirement to implement and operate the unit. No hardware/software component inferior to
the requirements is recommended.

Caution
Note All the installation and operations should comply with your local electricity safety rules.
To avoid damage to the unit, never connect more than one type of power supplies (PoE IEEE802.3 Ethernet
Class 0 or DC 12V / AC 24V power plug) at the same time. If using PoE, this unit must be connecting only to
PoE networks without routing to heterogeneous devices.

3.3 Connecting Process
3.3.1 Default IP address
Since this is a network-based unit, an IP address must be assigned at the very first. The unit’s default IP address is
192.168.1.30. However, if you have a DHCP server in your network, the unit would obtain an IP address automatically from
the DHCP server so that you don’t need to change the camera’s IP address. Please be sure to enable DHCP in "Network/Basic
settings" in advance.
3.3.2 Connecting from a computer & Viewing Preparation
Connecting from a computer
1. Make sure the unit and your computer are in the same subnet.
2. Check whether if the networking available between the unit and the computer by executing ping the default
IP address. To do this, simply start a command prompt (Windows: from the Start Menu, select Program.
Then select Accessories and choose Command Prompt.), and type“Ping 192.168.1.30”. If the message
“Reply from…”appears, it means the connection is available.
3. Start Internet Explorer and enter IP address: 192.168.1.30. A login window should pop up. In the window,
enter the default user name: admin and password: 1234 to log in.

Viewing Preparation
Images of the unit can be viewed through Microsoft Internet Explorer 8 or above. Before viewing, follow these steps to
enable the display.
1. Enable Cookies as instructions below
 In Internet Explorer, click Internet Options on the Tools menu.
 On the Privacy tab, move the settings slider to Low or Accept All Cookies.
 Click OK.
2. When a proxy server is used, click Internet Options on the Tools menus of Internet Explorer, select Connect
tab, click LAN button, and set proxy server.
3. Change Security in Internet options as instructions below
 On tool menu, click Internet Option.
 Press the Security tab.
 If the camera operates inside of the intranet, click the Intranet icon.
 If the camera operates outside of the intranet, click the Internet icon.
 Click Custom Level. This will open the Security Settings – Internet Zone screen.

Scroll down to the ActiveX controls and plug-ins radio buttons and set as follows:

Press OK to save the settings.
Close all Microsoft Internet Explorer Windows and restart a new window. This will allow the new settings taking eect.
Type your setting IP address into the browser.
Then you should be able to see the camera image screen.

3.4 IP Finder
IP Finder is a utility program that helps users locate the unit in the local area network which the computer is connected to.
Please note that IP Finder works only on Microsoft Windows XP, Microsoft Windows Vista, and Microsoft Windows 7. Steps to
get the utility program running are listed below.
1. Download IP Finder from MESSOA Website to the computer.
2. Double click on IPFinder.exe in the IP Finder folder, and the IP Finder window should pop out.
3 The window would list information of units in operation at present. Press FIND CAMERA to nd more units.
4. Locate and double-click one of the cameras in the list you want to congure the network settings. If you have multiple
cameras connected to your local network, locate the MAC address on the camera to distinguish the target camera from
others.
5. Congure the following settings as needed.
NAME: Enter a descriptive name for the camera.
NETWORK SETTINGS: If you have a DHCP server on your network to assign IP addresses to network devices, enable the
DHCP option. Otherwise, manually enter the IP ADDRESS, NET MASK and GATEWAY values.
USERNAME & PASSWORD: Manually setup preferred username and password.
SET: Whenever you make revision of camera settings, click“SET” to take eect.
SW DEFAULT: To perform the factory defaults excluding network settings of the selected camera.
HW DEFAULT: To perform the factory defaults of the selected camera.
RESET: To reboot the selected camera.
Click Save to enable the settings and click Exit to exit the utility.
