Instruction Manual
Code No. 20 750 678
Measuring and Regulation Equipment
Manufacturer

Single resistor application Desired value has to be set by rotating
the appropriate knobs of rotary switches. Each knob contain
multiplier dial of marked range.
Example: to set resistance of 2850 kW select 2 x 1M,
8 x 100k, 5 x 10k and rest to 0. Banana plugs must be connected
into sockets that cover at least all positions different to 0.
Split chains If e.g. knob x 1k selects position, the MA 2115 is split
into high resistance decade part in range (0 – 9990 k) W and low
resistance decade part in range (0 – 999) W. Use appropriate
sockets.
Voltage divider Simple voltage divider can also be configured for
test purpose. Example: voltage divider with 1000:1 ratio and input
resistance of 2 MW has to be realized. Set 2 x 1M, 2 x 1k and rest to
0. Input voltage is connected between most left sockets and socket
in bottom right corner and for output voltage use socket between x
10 k and x 1 k and the same socket on right corner. If voltage
connected to divider is higher than 50 V connect PE into green
socket.
MAINTENANCE
Inspection To maintain operator safety and ensure reliability of MA
2115 it is good practice to inspect it on a regular basis. Check that the
enclosure is without defects such as scratches or breaks. If any defect
is found please consult repair centre, distributor and/or manufacturer.
Cleaning Use a soft cloth slightly moistened with soapy water or
spirit to clean the surface of the instrument and leave the instrument
to dry totally before using it.
Notes!
• Do not use liquids based on petrol or hydrocarbons!
• Do not spill cleaning liquid over the instrument!
Calibration It is essential, that MA 2115 be regularly calibrated. We
recommend an annual calibration.
Service Repairs under or out of warranty time: Please contact your
distributor for further information.
