gun). Auto mode: The exposure
is
controlled by a sensor built
into the flashgun.
Manual mode: Depending on the light output ratio selected, the
flashgun emits all the
energy
in the form
of
light. The exposu
re
is
controlled byselection
ofthe
cameraaperture required

and shooting distance chosen.
TTL-mode: In
this
mode

asensor
built
into
the
camera
measur
es
the light reaching the surface of the film and controls the light
output
of
the fiashgun accordingly.
3.
Mounting
the
adapter
on
the
Ilashgun:
On compact fiash-
guns, the standard base is replaced by the adapter. When
handle-mount fiashguns are used, the adapter is connected by
means of the SCA 300 cable.
4. Flash
readiness
information:
Flash readiness is signalled
bythesymbol
"~/"
("F",
"P"
or by needle defiection) in the
ca
-
mera's
viewfinder. At the same time, the flashgun sets the
X-
sync
speed on the camera. If fiash readiness is not signalied,
the cameraoperates
in
the
mode
selected on the camera body.
If no further flash ist desired. simply switch the flashgun off.
5.
Automatie
aperture
transfer:
Cameras featuring automatie
aperture transfer will automatically take over the auto aperture
selected on the flashgun, if flash readiness is established
in
the
auto flash
mode
.
