con la última tecnología digital.
Su instrumento auditivo es el resultado de años de
investigación y desarrollo y está diseñado para que
usted disfrute de los sonidos de la vida.
El equipo de Microson le agradece su confianza y le
desea mucho éxito en su adaptación.
Es importante que lea y siga las instrucciones de este
manual para evitarle lesiones o daños en su audífono.
Este manual ha sido realizado según las normativas
EN 1041 y EN ISO 15223-1.

La finalidad prevista de los audífonos es la de
amplificar selectivamente el sonido y transmitirlo
al oído para compensar la audición a personas con
discapacidad auditiva (hipoacúsicos).
Los audífonos MICROSON CIMA FRONT BTE están
indicados para compensar pérdidas auditivas
de severas a profundas (transmisivas, mixtas o
neurosensoriales). Su uso no está indicado para niños.
Los audífonos MICROSON CIMA FRONT II BTE
están indicados para compensar pérdidas auditivas
de severas a profundas (transmisivas, mixtas o
neurosensoriales). Su uso no está indicado para niños.
La prescripción y adaptación de las ayudas auditivas
debe de ser realizada por un profesional de la salud
auditiva, que realizará la programación y ajuste
específico para la pérdida auditiva y morfología
del usuario de forma totalmente personalizada. Por
lo tanto, utilizar audífonos no prescritos por un
profesional o adaptados para otra persona, puede
dañar su audición.

Los audífonos retroauriculares (BTE Behind the Ear)
son un tipo de audífonos anatómicos que van alojados
detrás de la oreja. Se alimentan mediante una batería
y están indicados típicamente para cubrir pérdidas
severas o profundas. Todos sus componentes mecánicos
y electrónicos están contenidos en una caja ergonómica.
Se adaptan al oído del usuario mediante unos moldes
amedida, de los cuales sale un tubo conductor que se
acopla al codo del audífono.
Moldesytuboconductor:se encarga de conducir el
sonido y de permitir la adaptación del dispositivo al
oido mediante un molde a medida o estándar.
Micrófono: recoge el sonido y lo convierte en señal eléctrica.
Amplificador: procesador digital, que recoge la señal y la
adapta a los parámetros introducidos para cada perdida.
Auricular: que vuelve a convertir la señal eléctrica en sonido
y lo transmite, ya amplificado, hacia el oído del usuario.
Bobina: Se encarga de captar y transformar variaciones
de campos magnéticos en señal eléctrica.

Este símbolo indica que es importante para
el usuario prestar atención en situaciones o
procedimientos en los que podría provocar
lesiones, daño o alteración en el audífono o
alguno de sus componentes.

Indica que es importante para el usuario
seguir los consejos y advertencias que
contiene este documento.
Con el símbolo CE, Microson confirma
que sus audífonos cumplen los requisitos
esenciales de la Directiva Europea 93/42/EEC
para productos sanitarios.
Este símbolo indica que los productos
descritos en estas instrucciones de uso se
adhieren a los requisitos establecidos para
un componente de aplicación del tipo B de
IEC 60601-2-66. La superficie del sistema
auditivo está catalogada como componente
de aplicación del tipo B.
Este símbolo indica que el producto al final
de su vida útil, debe ser gestionado de modo
diferenciado al de la basura doméstica.
Debe entregarlo a su audioprotesista o en
un punto de recogida selectiva de aparatos
electrónicos para proteger la salud y el
medio ambiente.
¡ADVERTENCIA!
• Tragarse las pilas es nocivo. Mantenerlas fuera del
alcance de los niños o personas con discapacidad
mental.
• Consulte antes de utilizar sus audífonos en zonas
restringidas a aparatos electrónicos o inalámbricos
(Por ejemplo, aviones).
• No utilice bajo ninguna circunstancia sus audífonos
en zonas con equipos médicos (tratamientos de
Rayos X, alta frecuencia, resonancia magnética o
terapia de onda corta).
• ¡No utilizar los audífonos en zonas expuestas a
peligro de explosión o atmósferas ricas en oxígeno!
• Aléjese de campos electromagnéticos fuertes.
• Las personas con marcapasos o válvulas magnéticas
deben mantener los audífonos a una distancia
mínima de 15 cm, si detecta interferencias, consulte
las instrucciones de seguridad del fabricante del
implante. Los detectores de metales o alarmas
pueden causar interferencias o sonidos inesperados.
• Los audífonos CIMA FRONT BTE / CIMA FRONT II BTE
pueden generar niveles de salida mayores a 132 dBSPL.
¡PRECAUCIÓN!
• Proteja sus audífonos de la humedad, fuentes de calor.
• No utilice sus audífonos si va a ducharse, bañarse o
pulverizar su cabello.
• Evite que sus ayudas auditivas sufran golpes fuertes.
• No utilice nunca un microondas ni otros dispositivos
emisores de calor para secar sus audífonos.

INFORMACIÓN
1- Abrir el compartimento de la pila.
2- Retire el protector de la pila y
colóquela con el símbolo “+” hacia
arriba. Cierre el compartimento de
la pila.
Si la pila no está bien colocada,
el audífono no funcionará.
3- Para retirar la pila, gire el audífono
boca abajo, abra el compartimento
de la pila y deje que caiga en su
mano.
INFORMACIÓN
• Retirar las pilas si no va a usar sus audífonos durante
largo tiempo.
• Sustituir inmediatamente las pilas agotadas.
¡No tirar las pilas usadas a la basura! Entréguelas al
audioprotesista para que sean eliminadas correctamente
sin dañar el medio ambiente.

Su audífono está equipado con un
sistema de bloqueo del portapilas.
Este bloqueo previene la apertura
accidental o no deseada del
compartimento.
También resulta muy recomendable
cuando el audífono se adapte
en niños ya que la extracción o
sustitución de la pila debe hacerse
bajo la supervisión de un adulto.
Este elemento esta situado en la parte
superior de la pestaña de apertura
del compartimento de la pila.
Para bloquear su apertura introduzca
un pequeño destornillador y deslícelo
hacia un lado.
Para desbloquearlo, únicamente,
debe deslizar el seguro con la ayuda
de un pequeño destornillador a su
posición original.

El control de volumen le permite
ajustar la amplificación de su audífono.
Use su dedo para hacer girar la rueda
de control de volumen, tal como se
indica en la figura.
El número 1 es el nivel más bajo.

Su audífono incorpora la posibilidad de conectarle una
zapata de audio. Esta le permite conectar su audífono
con otros equipos de audio como sistemas FM, televisión
o equipos de audio varios. Al trasmitir directamente el
sonido de la fuente1 a su audífono la señal permanece
clara y sin interferencias externas.
Use sólo la zapata diseñada exclusivamente para el
audífono.
¡ADVERTENCIA!
¡Peligro de lesiones por descarga eléctrica!
Conecte la entrada de audio solo a dispositivos que
cumplan IEC 60065 (norma IEC para dispositivos de
audio, vídeo y otros dispositivos electrónicos).

2. Tire de la zapata hacia afuera
hasta separarla del audífono.

tando los contactos bajo la misma.

1Su audífono cumple la norma IEC 60118-6 que garantiza su compatibilidad con las
fuentes exteriores de señales eléctricas y electroacústicas.
Su audífono dispone de un pulsador que le permite
seleccionar el programa adecuado.
A medida que presione el pulsador,
escuchará tonos que le indicará el
programa que está utilizando.
Ejemplo: (Dos tonos programa 2)
Cada programa le permitirá adaptarse
mejor a los diferentes ambientes o
situaciones de su vida cotidiana.
Siga las instrucciones de su audiopro-
tesista para sacar el máximo provecho
de su ayuda auditiva.

¡PRECAUCIÓN!
Los imanes pueden afectar a determinados aparatos
electrónicos. Asegúrese de no colocar los imanes
cerca de monitores, aparatos de televisión y otros
equipos electrónicos.
Compruebe que no se encuentren en su proximidad
tarjetas de crédito, CD / DVD, ni otros dispositivos
sensibles a campos magnéticos (<30 cm).
ADVERTENCIA
Los imanes pueden interferir el funcionamiento
de dispositivos médicos como los marcapasos, las
válvulas magnéticas, etc.
Los usuarios que lleven marcapasos deben seguir
las instrucciones de seguridad del fabricante del
marcapasos y solo utilice el accesorio magnético
cuando no dude de la distancia de seguridad (mínimo
15 cm).
Guarde los imanes fuera del alcance de los niños o
personas con discapacidad mental. Si alguien ingiere
un imán, consulte a su médico.
Su CIMAFRONTBTE está equipado con
la función Auto-teléfono, lo que hace
posible que su audífono seleccione
automáticamente el programa de
teléfono al acercar el auricular al oído.
(Ver Activación automática)
Cuando termine de hablar y aleje el
teléfono del oído, este volverá al pro-
grama que estaba usando previamente.
Para la activación automática del
Auto-teléfono, deberá colocar el
accesorio magnético en el auricular
de su teléfono.
Mueva ligeramente el imán hasta
dar con la posición óptima* para
conseguir una conexión fiable y una
audición agradable, a continuación
extraiga el protector y fije su
accesorio en el auricular.

INFORMACIÓN
• Limpie sus moldes a medida frecuentemente, usando
una toallita indicada para tal efecto o utilice un paño
suave humedecido. (Consulte a su audioprotesista).
• Se recomienda el uso de un deshumificador
diariamente para mantener su ayuda auditiva en
óptimas condiciones de funcionamiento. (Consulte a
su audioprotesista).
• Tenga siempre una pila de recambio a mano.
• Se recomienda el cambio del tubo de conexión entre
el molde y el audífono, cuando amarillee o esté rígido.
¡ATENCIÓN!
• No limpie sus audífonos con alcohol, agua oxigenada
o detergentes.
• ¡No sumerja los audífonos en líquidos!
¡No moje sus audífonos! Manténgalos secos y
protegidos de la humedad.
MOLDES
El cerumen (cera del oído) en los moldes a medida,
afecta a la calidad del sonido.
Limpie los moldes a medida inmediatamente después
de extraer los audífonos con un paño suave, no
necesita ninguna otra herramienta.

gestionado de modo diferenciado al sistema de recogida
de residuos sólidos urbanos. Todos los usuarios están
obligados a entregar los aparatos eléctricos o electrónicos

the latest digital technology.
Your new hearing aid is the result of years of research
and development and is designed to make sure you
enjoy all the sounds of life.
The Microson team would like to wish you great

It is important that you read and follow the instructions
in this manual to prevent injury or any damage to
your hearing aid.
This manual has been drawn up in compliance with
the EN 1041 and EN ISO 15223-1 standards.

The intended purpose of the hearing aids is to amplify
sound selectively and to transmit it to the ears of
people with a hearing disability (the hard of hearing)
to compensate for their hearing loss.
Use of the MICROSON CIMA FRONT BTE hearing aid is
recommended to compensate for severe to profound
hearing loss (conductive, mixed or neurosensorial). Not
intended for children.
Use of the MICROSON CIMA FRONT II BTE hearing aid
is recommended to compensate for severe to profound
hearing loss (conductive, mixed or neurosensorial). Not
intended for children.
A hearing aid must be prescribed and fitted by a
hearing care specialist, who will program it and
adjust it specifically for the patient’s hearing loss
and morphology in a completely personalised way.
Be aware that using hearing aids not prescribed by
a professional or devices fitted for other people can
damage your hearing.
 INTENDEDPURPOSE  PRINCIPLESOFOPERATION 
The BTE (Behind the Ear BTE) hearing aids are
anatomical instruments placed behind the ear. .
Are powered by a battery and are typically designed
to cover severe or profound hearing losses. All
mechanical and electronic components are contained
in an ergonomic housing. They adapt to the user’s
ear by molds which leaves a conductive tube that
attaches to the side of the hearing aid.
Mouldsand conduction tube: these conduct sound
and allow the devce to be ftted to the ear usng a
customsed or standard mould.
Microphone: receives the sound and converts it into
an electrical signal.
Amplifier: digital processor that receives the signal and
adapts it to the parameters introduced for each loss.
Receiver: converts the electrical signal back into
sound and transmits it into the user's ear.
Telecoil: captures varatons n magnetc felds and
transforms them nto electrc sgnals.

WARNING!
• Batteries are dangerous if swallowed. Keep
batteries out of the reach of children or mentally
disabled persons.
• Please check before using your hearing aid in areas
with restrictions for electronic or wireless devices
(for example, on airplanes).
• Never use your hearing aids in places where there is
medical equipment (X-ray, high frequency, magnetic
resonance or short-wave therapy treatments).
• Do not use a hearing aid in areas where there is a
risk of explosion or in oxygen-rich environments!
• Stay away from strong electromagnetic fields.
• People with pacemakers or magnetic valves should
maintain their hearing aids at a minimum distance of
15 cm. If you detect any interference, please read the
safety instructions provided by the manufacturer of
the implant. Metal detectors and alarms may cause
interference or unexpected sounds.
• CIMA FRONT BTE / CIMA FRONT II BTE hearing aids
can generate sound output levels in excess of 132 dBSPL.
CAUTION!
• Protect your hearing aids against moisture and
sources of heat.
• Do not use your hearing aids while showering,
swimming or spraying your hair.
• Protect your hearing aids from hard knocks.
• Never use a microwave or other heating devices to
dry your hearing aids.
 SAFETYINSTRUCTIONS 
This symbol indicates unsafe situations or
procedures that may lead to injury or cause
damage to your hearing aid or any of its
components.
Operating instructions.
This symbol indicates that it is important to
follow the advice and warnings contained in
this document.
The CE Mark enables Microson to confirm
that its hearing aids comply with European
Union Council Directive 93/42/EEC concerning
medical devices.
This symbol indicates that the products
described in this User Manual adhere to the
requirements for a Type B component under
IEC 60601-2-66. The surface of the hearing
aid is specified as a B component.
The symbol warns you that this hearing
aid may not be disposed of with normal
household waste. Please return your hearing
aid to your hearing care specialist or to a
collection point for safe, environmentally-
friendly disposal.

Remove the battery protector and
place the new battery with the “+”
symbol facing upwards. Close the
battery compartment.
3. To remove the battery, turn the
hearing aid upside down, open the
battery compartment and allow it to
drop into your hand.

- Remove the batteries if you do not intend to use

household waste! Take them to the hearing care
specialist for proper disposal without harming the
environment.

The volume control allows you to
adjust the amplification of your
hearing aid.
Use a finger to rotate the volume control
wheel, as indicated in the figure.
Number 1 is the lowest level.
Number 4 is the highest level.
Your hearing aid is equipped with a
battery holder locking system. This
lock prevents undesired accidental
opening of the compartment.
It is also recommended when the
hearing aid is for a child, because
removal and replacement of the
battery must be done under adult
supervision. This element is located
in the upper portion of the opening
tab of the battery compartment.
To prevent opening, insert a small

Your hearing aid has a built-in audio input jack. This
allows you to connect your hearing aid to other audio
equipment with FM system, television or various audio
equipment. It transmits the source sound1 directly to
your hearing aid, which keeps the signal clear and free
of external interference.
Only use the Audio Shoe designed specifically for the
hearing aid.
WARNING!
Risk of injury by electrical shock!
Connect the audio input only to devices that comply
with IEC 60065 (IEC standard for audio, video and other
electronic devices).
2. Pull the shoe outwards until it
separates from the hearing aid.
3. Close the connector top, hiding
the contacts below it.

Your hearing aid comes with a push button that permits
the selection of an appropriate program.
As you press the push button, you will
hear tones indicating the program you
are using.
Example: Two tones for program 2.
Each program will permit you to better
adapt to different environments or
situations of everyday life.
Follow the instructions of your audio
prosthetist to get the most out of your
hearing aid.

Your CIMA FRONT BTE is equipped
with an auto-telephone feature
which allows you to automatically
select the best program for hearing
the telephone when you bring it
close to your ear. (See automatic
activation)
When you finish speaking and
remove the telephone from your
ear, the hearing aid will return to the
program it was using before the call.
If you wish the auto-telephone option
to activate automatically, you must
place the magnetic accessory on the
earpiece of your telephone.
Move the magnet slightly until you
find the optimal position* to obtain
a reliable connection and pleasant
hearing. Next, remove the protective
element and place your accessory on
the earpiece.

INFORMATION
• Clean your ear moulds regularly, using specially
designed wipe. (Ask your hearing care specialist).
• Regular use of a dehumidifier is recommended
to keep your hearing aids in optimum working
conditions. (Ask your hearing care specialist).
• Always have a spare battery available.
• It is advisable to replace the tube connecting the
mould and the hearing aid once it starts to turn yellow
or becomes rigid.
ATTENTION!
• Do not clean your hearing aids with alcohol,
hydrogen peroxide or detergents: use a soft, moist
cloth.
• Do not immerse your hearing aids in liquid!
Do not wash your hearing aids! Keep them
dry and protected from humidity or damp.
MOULDS
Cerumen (ear wax) in the custom made moulds
affects sound quality.
Clean the custom made moulds immediately after
removing the hearing aids with a soft cloth.

CUSTOM MADE MOULDS
WARNING!

made moulds.
• Always use the standard tube with the custom made
mould.
• Make sure that the custom made moulds are
correctly attached to the standard tube.
• If the custom made mould becomes lodged in the
ear, ask a medical professional to remove it.
• Carefully insert the custom made mould in the ear
without inserting it too far.
• Only use the standard tube and the custom made
mould as described in this User Manual.

1. Carefully insert your custom made moulds into the
