Please read this installation manual carefully before installation.
The air conditioner must be installed by qualified service person.
When installing the indoor unit , please follow this manual as strictly as possible.
Check the piping is accomplished perfectly before electrifying the unit.
This manual is subject to changes due to technological improvement without further notices.
Note: The installer should illustrate to users how to correctly use and maintain the appliance
,
and remind the users carefully reading and keeping both installation manual and owner s

Cautions on remote controller installation:
Don t throw the remote controller or give it big impact.
The remote controller should be in the reception range, and the transmittal part should point
to the orientation of indoor unit receptor.
Before installation, operate the remote controller to determine its location in a reception range.
Keep the remote controller at least 1m apart from the nearest TV set or stereo equipment. (It
is necessary to prevent image disturbances or noise interferences.)
Do not install the remote controller in a place exposed to direct sunlight or close to a heating
source, such as a stove.
Note that the positive and negative poles are right positions when loading batteries.

INSTALLATION LOCATION
CAUTIONS
1.Please avoid installing in the following places
A place with flammable gas or material.
A saline place such as a seashore vicinity
A place with sulphur gas.
A place with oil gas, such as kitchen.
A place with high-humidity air.
An unbearable place.
A place where high-frequency waves are generated.
2. Please comply with the related national electric standard to make electric insulation for
construction and metal parts of air-conditioner.
3. Please choose the place where the ventilation is good.

Please install with f10 hanging screw bolts.
1. The size of the ceiling to be handled------ Do keep the
ceiling flat. Consolidate the roof beam for possible
vibration.
2. Cut off the roof beam.
3. Strengthen the place that has been cut off, and
consolidatethe roof beam.
4. Connect wires and pipes inside the ceiling after the air
conditioner is hanged.
Please refer to the following figure for the hanging
screw bolts distance
The handling to the ceiling varies from the constructions,
consult the construction person for the specific condition.

2. Overhanging the indoor unit
Adjust the gasket (down side) to 137mm over the
ceiling for MDV-D28~36Q1/BN2 type and for
MDV-D45~71Q1/BN2type adjust that to
130mm.

Install the hanging bolt into U groove of the hanging tool. Overhang the indoor unit and ensure
it is level using a level gauge.

After the selection of installation location, position the refrigerant pipes, drain pipes,
indoor & outdoor wires to the connection places before hanging up the machine.
The installation of hanging screw bolts.
Install the hanging hook with expansible
bolt into the concrete deep to 45~50mm
to prevent loose.

Install the hanging nut into U grove of the
hanging tool. Overhang the indoor unit and
ensure it is level using a level gauge.
Use the installation paper pattern to confirm
the position between the body and the ceiling
opening
Please refer to the following figure to install.
Fix the pattern paper to the down side of indoor
unit with panel fixing screw.
Adjust the size of ceiling hole according to
pattern paper.

When connecting the pipe, please use the sealing material and pipe glove.

The drain pipe of indoor unit must be heat
insulated, or it will condense dew, as well
as the connections of the indoor unit.
Hard PVC binder must be used for pipe
connection, and make sure there is no
leakage.
With the connection part to the indoor unit,
please note not to impose pressure
on the side of indoor unit pipes.
When the declivity of the drain pipe down-
wards is over 1/100, there should not be any
winding.
The total length of the drain pipe when pulled
out breadthwise shall not exceed 20m. When
the pipe is over long, a bracket must be
installed to prevent winding.
Refer to the following figures to install the pipes.
Upward drainage
To make sure that the drainage pipe would not slant downward. Lead it upward to a height 340
mm maximum, then downward lead it.
When the drainage is upward, the upward drain pipe and elbow of the accessories must be
adopted and the height is less than 500mm,otherwise the drain pump water level switch
malfunction will be caused.

1. When adopting upward drain pipe,
out off VP16 pipe to do the piping
2. The VP 25 pipe is elicited breadthwise.
After upward piping, the lead drain pipe must slant downward immediately.(over 1/100)
Insulation material
1) Stow 600-800cc water with pot or hose from outlet slowly.
2) The drainage test is doing during checking the drain pump motor running sound .
3) After the preparation work , disconnect the water level switch ,power 220-240VAC to of
terminal board, and the drain pump start up immediately.
4) Confirm the running sound of drainage pump motor ,and carry out the drainage test.(If the sound
is variable from continuous to discontinuous ,it is normal.)
5) Reset the water level switch connector to original position after the drainage test .

!WARNING
Specified power cables should be used. Do not apply any pressure on the
terminals used to connect.
Grounding must be properly done.
Electric Wiring must be done by professionals. Use a separate circuit according
to national regulations.
Improper connection may cause fire.
The grounding wire should be away from gas pipes, water pipes, telephone,
lightening rods or other grounding wires. Improper grounding may cause electric
shock.
If the wiring capacity is not enough, electric shock or fire may occur.
Be sure to Install Current Leakage Protection Switch. Or electric shock may occur.
Power cord is to be selected according to national regulations.
Outdoor unit power cord should be selected and connected according to the outdoor unit
installation manual.
Wiring should be away from high temperature components, or the insulation layer of the
wires may melt down.
Use wire clamp to fix the wires and terminal block after connection.
Control wire should be wrapped together with heat insulated refrigerant pipes.
Connect the indoor unit to power only after the refrigerant has been vacuumed.

Don t connect the power wire to the signal wire connection end.

will cause condensate dew.

WIRING SPECIFICATIONS
The indoor unit power source should not be shared with outdoor unit.
The indoor units that connect to the same outdoor unit should use the same power source, creepage
protector and main switch.
The indoor power wire should be connected to the L N terminal , and the indoor/outdoor signal
wire should adopt the 2-core screened wire . The indoor /outdoor signal wire should be connected
to A B terminal and should be corresponding with the A B of the outdoor terminal. Connect the
screened layer to (E).

INSTALL THE PANEL
NOTE
The panel and the ceiling, the panel and the unit body should be connected closely ,
or air leakage water leakage and condensate dew will be caused.
Please refer to the panel installation manual to install the panel.
Please confirm if the installation places of unit body and panel are proper.
!CAUTION
REFRIGERANT PIPE INSTALLATION
Ventilate the air if there was any refrigerant leakage during the installation.
Make sure there is no refrigerant leakage after the installation.
Leaked refrigerant will generate poisonous gas if meeting fire.

Requirements are different when installing the outdoor unit, please refer to outdoor unit
installation manual for detailed information.
Three length (3m,5m,10m) of pipes are available to purchase.

Refrigerant volume to be added is calculated according to outdoor unit installation manual (R407C).
Be sure to add refrigerant measuring by a scale.
If the added refrigerant volume is inadequate (too much or insufficient), the compressor
malfunction will be caused. Be sure to calculate the refrigerant volume carefully.
The service man should write down the piping length and the added refrigerant volume
in the nameplate, which is on the electric control box cover of outdoor unit, for
diagnosing the compressor and refrigeration circulation malfunction.
