First steps to use
Touch controls
sTurns the coffee system On/Off
< Left arrow, scrolls through program options
OK Confirms selected program options and save settings
> Right arrow, scrolls through program options
/Drink selection touch control (coffee or espresso)
Display
Drink selection : K= Coffee type, L= Steam, o= Hot water
User profile : nfor up to 9 different users
Maintenance programs: G= Maintenance, k= Descaling
Settings : C= To customize your coffee system
Filling the water tank
Filling the capsule carousel
Preparing coffee / espresso
^Fill the tank with
fresh, cold tap
water to the
"Max." mark.
^Pull the carousel
tray, a, all the
way out.
^Insert the capsules into the chambers,
cof the capsule carousel b, with the
flat, foil side facing downwards.
^Use /to select
coffee or
espresso.
^Use < or > to se-
lect the type of
coffee, confirm
with OK.
^Double portion
If a double portion is desired, wait un-
til "Double portion?" appears in the
display and select OK.

K1= A coffee type is allocated to this chamber; the chamber is filled
K,= A coffee type is allocated to this chamber; the chamber is empty
K?= No coffee type is allocated to this chamber

Selecting or creating a User profile
^Use /to select
the desired bev-
erage type (cof-
fee or espresso).
^Place a cup un-
der the coffee
dispenser.
^Press and hold
OK until "Prog.
the amount" ap-
pears in the dis-
play.
^Once the cup is
filled to your de-
sire and "Save"
appears in the
display, tap OK
again to save the
serving size.
^Select "Settings"
C, confirm with
OK.
^Select "Allocate
type", confirm
with OK.
^Select the de-
sired chamber
(1-5), confirm
with OK.
^Select "Select"
choose from the
coffee types
available and
confirm with OK.
^Use < or > to se-
lect the desired
character, con-
firm with OK.
Made a mistake?
Select the waste
bin symbol and
confirm with OK.
The last character
entered will be de-
leted.
Saving an entry?
Select OK, and
confirm with OK.
Not saving an
entry?
Select "Back", con-
firm with OK.
^Use < or > to se-
lect User profile

Cleaning and Care
All parts except for the capsule plate and the plastic drip tray cover are dish-
washer safe.
Before use:
^Be sure to enter the water hardness, see "Settings - Water hardness" in the Op-
erating Instructions.
Regular maintenance:
^Follow all maintenance instructions as they appear in the display.
^Wipe any soiling
from the inside of
the machine with
a damp cloth.
^Wipe out the drip
tray on the inside
of the door.
^Clean all parts of
the drip tray.
^Clean the carou-
sel niche, espe-
cially the sensors
and recess in the
floor.
^Clean the coffee
dispenser cover
in the dish-
washer.
^Clean the capsule carousel and car-
ousel tray in the dishwasher.
^Following the in-
structions for
cleaning the ap-
pliance exterior
in the Operating
Instructions.

Clean the capsule plate as necessary or when the machine needs to be
descaled with the supplied cleaning tablets.
Descaling (approx. 30 min.)
Important: Only use the supplied descaling tablets. Wipe any spills immediately
to avoid damage to the exterior of the coffee system.

^Select "Descale"
k, confirm with
OK.
^Remove the cap-
sule plate and re-
place it with the
colored
descaling funnel.
^Follow the in-
structions in the
display.
^Remove the capsule plate.
^Place the capsule plate in the solu-
tion and let it soak for one hour.
Rinse thoroughly and dry.
^Dissolve one
cleaning tablet in
hot water.
