Quick Start Guide
If you have had a friend or dealer install the TireMinder® system, read from secon 9 forward in the main instrucon manual.
This is important, mandatory READING!!
If you are installing the system we strongly recommend using the main instrucon manual.
However, we know how most people feel about reading instrucons and to this end we have wrien this “Quick Start Guide.”
If you don’t understand the “Quick Start,” go to the cross referenced secon in the main book
or simply call the great people at Minder Research for help (772-463-6522).
The Monitor
The monitor should be parally charged so you may start programming right away. Press and release
the center buon to turn it on. If the unit does not light up immediately, simply plug it into a live 12 volt
power outlet using the cigaree lighter adaptor or the USB cable to any USB port.
STEP ONE: Convert Monitor to “Pressure Seng Mode”
A. From the “Monitoring Mode,” press & hold the center buon for 5 seconds. The le front steering re
will appear (reading 115.9 psi) If you will be monitoring this posion, connue below.
B. If you wish to skip this posion, simply press and release the center buon
unl you get to a re posion you plan on using.
C. Press DN or UP buon unl your desired baseline pressure is displayed.
When you reach your desired pressure, press the center buon to conrm and move to next re
posion. Repeat “B” and “C” above for all re posions to be monitored.
Aer all baselines have been set, you MUST EXIT. Press & hold the center buon for 5 or 6 seconds.
Display will “beep” and revert to the “Monitoring Mode.”
STEP TWO: Baery Installaon
Your monitor is now ready to receive informaon from each transmier. In order for this
to happen, you will need to install CR1632 lithium baeries.
DO NOT ATTACH THE TRANSMITTERS TO THE VALVE STEMS (YET)!!!!
STEP THREE: Convert Monitor to “Learn Mode”
From “Monitoring Mode,” press and hold DN and UP buons simultaneously. When you see all
22 re posions, release the buons.
The front le re posion will ash with RED LED illuminated and a “- - - PSI.” If you plan on
monitoring this posion, proceed below. If not, press the UP buon and scroll to the rst re posion.
Mount any transmier (FINALLY!!!!) at the ashing locaon indicated on the screen. LED will turn
GREEN and the PSI will be displayed within 30 seconds. If the screen has gone dark (at any me),
simply press and release the center buon to see the numbers.
If synchronizaon is not achieved (light stays red), remove the transmier for 10 seconds and re-mount. It’s also a good idea to
have the receiver close by with ANTENNA FULLY EXTENDED.
Press the DN or UP buon to move to the next re posion.
TIP: Unlearned posions will have a red LED with a “- - - PSI” at the top.
Repeat above unl all transmiers are mounted. Be sure to mount the transmiers at the same posions programmed in the
“Pressure Seng Mode.”
You MUST EXIT aer the last transmier has been mounted. Press and hold DN and UP buons
simultaneously unl the 22 res disappear.
At this point you should only see the number of re posions which have transmiers installed (4, 6, 8, etc).
All other posions will have disappeared. The monitor is now in the “Monitoring Mode.” To see the system
in acon, you may now press the DN or UP buon and scroll through all re posions.
You need to install the signal booster NOW. Remember: Antenna Up!
