HOW TO RIDE YOUR
MINIMOTO TM ATV:
NOTE: It will take a little practice to get
used to driving. Take it slowly and start in
a location that is very open and away from
obstacles or obstructions. Take steps to
learn the proper way to use your left hand
for braking purposes.
WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU START
IN “TRAINING MODE” BEFORE USING
“NORMAL MODE”. THIS WILL GIVE THE
RIDER A CHANCE TO BECOME COMFORT-
ABLE WITH THE VEHICLE’S CONTROLS
BEFORE PROCEEDING TO THE TOP SPEED.
WARNING: BEFORE DOING ANYTHING,
REMOVE THE KEY FROM THE VEHICLE
BEFORE ATTEMPTING ENTRY ONTO THE

ACCIDENTAL ACCELERATION WHEN LOAD-
ING.
1) Check the “FWD/REV” switch is in the
“FWD” (forward) position (Fig 15).
2) Step in the vehicle and carefully sit on
the seat (Fig 16).
3) Place your feet on the foot pads on
either side of the vehicle (Fig 17).
4) Move the Control switch to either
Training Mode or Normal (Full Power) Mode
(Fig 18).
5) Insert the Key

6) Put both hands on the handlebars with-
out pressing the brake lever, SLOWLY
rotate the accelerator handle on the
driver’s right side (Fig 20). The ATV should
move forward. The more you rotate the
handle, the faster the ATV will go.
7) To stop, pull the brake lever on the
handle to the driver’s left side (Fig 21).
Reversing the vehicle
If you need to re verse the vehicle for an y
reason, go to a COMPLETE STOP first.
Next, move the FWD/REV switch to the
“REV” position. Rotate the accelerator
slowly and the vehicle will begin to move
backward. [NOTE: Reverse speed is limit-
ed to a fe w miles per hour. You cannot
run at top speed in reverse.] When fin-
ished reversing, go to another COMPLETE
STOP and move the switch to the FWD
position for forward motion.
TIP: You do not need to let off of the
accelerator when you press on the brake.
The power to the motor is automatically
cut off when the brake pedal is pressed.
This will help you conserve power and
speed when driving.
BE CAREFUL: The Minimoto ATV™ can
reach speeds up to 14 MPH on a level sur-
face (depending on the surface terrain and
the weight of the rider).
SPECIAL SAFETY WARNINGS
1) When accelerating please ensure that
you start slowly & precisely.
2) The brake is designed to control speed
as well as stop the vehicle. Practice brak-
ing for slow-down and smooth stopping .
3) Never operate the accelerator handle
when the rear wheels are off the ground or
the ATV in an upside down position.
4) Do not attempt to make shar p turns.
The Minimoto™ ATV is not designed to do
high speed cornerings. Attempting to do
so may result in serious injur y.

Abuse Detection Warning
buzzer, Circuit breaker and
Power shut down protection
Your Minimoto™ ATV has automatic protec-
tion systems built into it to prevent perma-
nent damage to the electronic circuits.
Abuse Detection Warning Buzzer: Your
ATV is equipped with a temperature and
overloading current sensor to detect possi-
ble overheating and overloading of the
electronic control box. Overheating or
Overloading may occur if you run your ATV
with too heavy a load, in too rough a ter-
rain, or up too steep an incline.
1) If the temperature in the electronics is
too high, the sensor will shut the vehicle
down and a warning buzzer with a high
pitch noise will last for 10 seconds.
If this happens, you must wait for the sen-
sor to detect a lower temperature. This
may take at least 5 to 10 minutes,
depending on the outside air temperature
during the ride. The ATV should work as
normal again, after the reset.
2) If a overloading current occurs, the
buzzer will beep for 2-3 seconds and shut
the vehicle down at the same time.
Release the accelerator to reset the ATV.
Rotate the accelerator again to resume rid-
ing.
When a overloading current occurs causing
the vehicle to stop operating and NO
buzzer is heard, refer to Circuit Breaker
Protection and Reset section.
Circuit Breaker Protection and Reset: If
the ATV stops working and you hear NO
BUZZER, check to see if the Circuit
Breaker button has “popped up” (Fig 22).
WAIT ten seconds and press the black but-
ton in the center of the Circuit Breaker
down. If the button stays down, the Circuit
Breaker is reset. If not, wait longer until it
has cooled down enough before pressing
the button.

Low Power LED Indicator:
When the battery is low and almost com-
pletely drained of power, the Low Power
LED on the front console (Fig 23) will light
up and the vehicle will start to noticeably
slow down. This will help you conserve
power to get your ATV back to the charging
area as soon as possible.
If you continue to run the ATV too long
without recharging the battery, the ATV will
automatically shut down. You will see that
the RED LED is ‘ON’ but the vehicle will
not move. At this point, YOU MUST
RECHARGE the ATV to get it to run again.
IF YOU LOSE THE KEY:
Spare Keys can be obtained by calling the
Minimoto™ Service Center for a fee. You
can also have your key duplicated at any
key shop or kiosk. It is a good idea to
store the extra keys provided in a safe
place.

TIRE INFLATION PROCEDURE :
IMPORTANT:
Before inflating any tire, make sure
the KEY is removed from the vehicle.
To inflate a tire, unscrew the protective cap
from the valve stem and attach the bicycle
pump as you would with any bicycle.
WARNING: Tire inflation must be done
ONLY BY AN ADULT ONLY. NEVER inflate
the tires above 30 PSI. Tires should be
inflated with a standard “bicycle” type
pump. Inflation at an Automobile service
station can easily result in over inflation
of the tires. Over inflation of the tires
can result in serious injur y or even death.
Tires MUST be at the proper inflation
in order to achieve good handling
characteristics and control. Over
inflation will make the tires “bulge”
outward. This will cause premature
wear of the tire. Under inflation will
cause the tire to look flat on the
ground. This will result in poor run-
ning speeds and handling. Make
sure that your tires are properly
inflated to get the most out of your
vehicle.
TIRE REPAIR:
In the event that a tire should consistently
loose air pressure, the tires can be
repaired at a local bicycle repair shop.
The tires have an inner tube construction.
WARNING: Inspect tires regularly.
1) If the tire tread is worn to the point
where the grooves are difficult to see,
replace the tire(s) immediately.
2) If the tire tread shows uneven wear,
check the axle to make sure the wheel is
loaded evenly and correctly. Uneven wear
may be a sign of uneven loading.
3) If the rims (wheels) are bent or cracked,
they must be replaced.

MINIMOTO
™
ATV MINIMOTO
™
ATV
17
TIRE ROTATION:
The rear tires will wear unevenly as the
forces placed on them are different. The
Right Rear tire does all the braking and
delivers all the power to the ground.
Replacement tires can be obtained from
the Minimoto Service Center. Email your
request at
WARNING: Disconnect the battery before
removing the tires. This will ensure no pos-
sibility of the motor or wheel running acci-
dentally while working in this area. Refer
to page 18 steps 1-3 “Replacing the bat-
tery” in this instruction manual for this
operation.
To ensure that your tires last as long as
possible, it is recommended that you
rotate the tires as the tread patter n wears
down. Most likely, the RIGHT REAR tire will
wear heavier than the left (depending on
your driving habits). When the Right Rear
tire appears to show some wear, rotate the
tires between the left and right. This way
you can stretch the useable life of the
tires out over a longer period of time.
1) Raise the ATV and lay it on its side
(Fig. A) Make sure that the ATV will not
fall to its side and injure anyone. Use a
work bench if possible.
2) Open the valve cap on the valve stem
of the tire.
Deflate the tire
by pushing the
valve pin inside
the valve stem.
(Fig. B)
3) Using the wrench (not provided) and
allen key remove the five bolts and nuts
on the hub of the wheel. (Fig. C)
4) Lift and remove the top hub from the
axle. Remove the tire and place aside.
(Fig. D & Fig. E)
5) Place the ne w tire (or from another
wheel) onto the bottom hub on the axle.
Reconnect the two hubs with the tire in
between and align the scre w holes. Mak e
sure the valve stem is also inser ted to the
hole in the top hub. Tighten the bolt and
nuts in re verse order. (F ig. F & F ig. G)
6) Inflate the tire with a foot pump until
30Psi.
7) Reconnect the battery and ride as nor-
mal.
IMPORT ANT: Make sure the wheel nuts
and bolts are properly tightened before
driving.

REPLACING THE BATTERY:
1) Check to make sure the Key is removed
from the vehicle.
2) Using a Phillips screwdriver, to remove
the screws on the Left Side of the battery
box beside the left foot pedal (Fig 24).
3) Remove the battery box from the vehi-
cle and disconnect the battery wire (Fig
25).
4) Use the Allen Key and Wrench at the
same time to remove the bolt (as shown)
and nut (under the battery box) that
secures the Battery Retainer until the
Battery Retainer has some slack. (Fig 26)
.
TIP: You don’t need to remove the bolts
and nuts entirely. You only need enough
space between the Battery Retainer and
the Battery to slide the Battery out. This
will help with reassembly.
6) Carefully lift and slide the battery out
from the opened side of the battery box.
NOTE: THE BATTERY IS VERY HEAVY. USE
CAUTION SO THAT YOU DO NOT STRAIN
YOUR BACK OR MUSCLES.
7) Replace the battery with a new one and
reconnect the plug.
8) Re-tighten the nuts from underneath
the battery box and the battery retainer
using the Allen K ey and wrench in reverse
order.
IMPORT ANT: Make sure the batter y does
not move and the retainer is tightly fas-
tened. If the battery is allowed to move,
damage may occur to the batter y, battery
box, or connectors.
9) Replace the batter y box in re verse
order
10) Charge the ne w battery before
attempting to drive the vehicle again.
