WHAT IS ULTRASOUND?
Ultrasound is an oscillating sound pressure wave with a frequency
inaudible to the human ear. Ultrasound has a frequency greater than
1 MHz frequency (one million cycles per second). Audible sound has
a frequency between 15,000 and 20,000 cycles per second.
Mira-Skin uses soft ultrasound to add vitamins and nutrients into the
skin, which stimulates renewal and hydrates your skin. Soft ultrasound
is gentle and harmless.
Ultrasound requires a conductive medium. The Mira-Skin Ultrasound
conductive gel, which is enriched with additional ingredients and is
included with your Mira-Skin. It can also be purchased separately as a
refill at www.mira-skin-ultrasound.com.

Ultrasound has been widely used around the world for many medical

Ultrasound creates high speed, low-frequency sound waves that radi-

HOW DOES MIRA-SKIN PREVENT
THE SIGNS OF AGING?
It is no secret that our skin changes as we age. Environmental factors
such as the sun, cold, pollution, living conditions, stress and genetic
predispositions are responsible for signs of aging. As early as your
mid- to late-20s and into your 30s, you may start to notice the very
first signs of aging. The number of skin stem cells decreases as we
age, which diminishes the vitality and regeneration capacity of the
skin. As we get older the oxygen and nutrient supply decreases be-
cause of a decrease in blood circulation. As collagen production natu-
rally declines with age, skin loses the elasticity and resiliency, causing
sagging skin and the formation of fine lines and wrinkles.
Normal daily skin creams alone cannot stop the process of fine lines
and wrinkles. The skins natural protection barrier is comprised of
many elements, mostly lipids, which work to keep things out of the
skin. Most anti-wrinkle creams are designed to plump up your skin by
adding moisture, but this is only a temporary fix because they are not
able to disrupt the lipid barrier.
Phonophoresis is the use of ultrasound to enhance the delivery of
ingredients into the skin. The gentle air vibrations of ultrasound tem-
porarily expand and open transport ways, which boosts the delivery

can only penetrate the top layers of skin, ultrasound

HOW TO OPERATE THE DEVICE
BATTERY CHARGING
To charge the battery, connect the device to any USB-adapter
using the cable that comes with Mira-Skin. You can use your
Apple iPhone or Android Charger or any other USB-connection.
When charging, the yellow LCD on the top of the device stays on.
Always use the Mira-Skin-USB-Cable.
HOW TO START USING MIRA-SKIN?
Your Mira-Skin device has a pre-charged battery, so you can try it out
immediately.
Charging your Mira-Skin
To charge the Mira-Skin device, use any USB-Charger from your
Smartphone (e.g. iPhone , iPad or Android) or Laptop Computer. Use
the cable which came in the package to connect the Mira-Skin to any
USB-charger. Charging an empty battery will typically take a maxi-
mum of three hours. When charging, the yellow LED will be on con-
firming the battery is filled. Once the battery is fully charged, the yel-
low LED will go off.
How can I check if my Mira-Skin is working?
• Place your finger on the ON/OFF button for 2-3 seconds to turn the
device on. The red LCD light will come on, signaling that the device
recognizes your finger, then the green LCD goes on and the device
is powered on working. The green LCD will remain ON until you
turn off the device manually or the device
automatically shuts off after 5 minutes
(as a safety meaure). When the device is
switched ON, you hear a beep.
• If the yellow LCD light blinks, your Mi-
ra-Skin Ultrasound device needs to be
charged before further use.
• Testing the ultrasound: Since one can-
not see, hear or feel the ultrasound,
place a drop of water on the metal head
when the device is ON and see the water
drop(s) vibrate on the surface.

HOW SHOULD I USE THE MIRA-SKIN
ULTRASOUND DEVICE?
1. Clean your face as you normally do
and remove all traces of make-up.
2. Apply the Mira-Skin Hyal-
uronic Serum to your skin.
This serum is the ideal
preparation and will help
your skin to retain mois-
ture.
3. Next apply a pea-sized
portion amount of the Mi-
ra-Skin Ultrasound Gel on
your face. If it is absorbed
during use, please re-apply
generously. Too little gel
decreases the penetration
of the ultrasound, too
much gel is not necessary.
Be sure to avoid your eye-
lids and open sores.

4. Now turn on the Mira-Skin
ultrasound device (see page
13). Glide the Mira-Skin ultra-
sound device in a stroking mo-
tion, always moving the ma-
chine upwards in circular
motions. The device must be
placed flat against the skin.
We recommend the following procedure:
ABegin by gliding Mira-Skin across your forehead
in circular motions.
BNext glide up along the lower jaw and toward the cheekbones.
CThen move the device upwards around the sides of your nose.
DFinally, glide Mira-Skin down toward the chin.
EGlide from the bottom of the neck in upward motions.
FFinally, glide the device down the right and left sides of your
throat several inches away from your Adam’s apple.
The treatment takes a maximum of 5 to 10 minutes and should
only be used 2 to 3 times a week. Overuse of ultrasound cleansing
will tire out the muscles and skin tissues, which will produce unde-
sirable results.
5. Wipe the remaining gel off of the device with a Kleenex or cotton
ball after each treatment.
6. Apply your favorite skin care products. Your skin is highly absor-
bent in the first 30 minutes after the treatment. This is the ideal
time to apply your favorite anti-aging skin care products for maxi-
mum benefits.
How to glide the Mira-Skin Ultrasound device.
Repeat this procedure three times on each side of your face.
The treatment takes a maximum of five to ten minutes.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I USE MIRA-SKIN
ULTRASOUND AND MIRA-SKIN HYALURONIC
SERUM?
We recommend using Mira-Skin Ultrasound 2 or 3 times a week.
We recommend using the Mira-Skin Hyaluronic Serum daily. Apply
the serum to your face twice a day, in the morning and evening after
cleansing and before applying your favorite anti-aging skin care prod-
uct.
Do not use the Mira-Skin more than 10 minutes for each treat-
ment. Overuse of ultrasound cleansing will tire out the muscles and
tissues, which will produce undesirable results.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION ON USE
• Do not glide the Ultrasound back and forth. Glide the device in one
direction only. Keep the Mira-Skin gliding over the skin.
• Do not stop the motion at the same place for too long.
• Do not use ultrasound more than ten minutes per treatment.
To avoid side effects or skin reactions, please do not use skin care
products that contain the following ingredients in combination with
ultrasound:
• Nanoparticles • Essential oils
• Fruit acids • Enzymes
Ultrasound treatment is safe for all skin types. However, there are
some conditions that should not be treated with ultrasound. If you are
currently under medical care for a skin condition, consult your doctor
before using Mira-Skin.
WHERE TO TREAT AND NOT TO TREAT YOUR
FACE WITH ULTRASOUND?
DO NOT use the Mira-Skin Ultrasound device:
• Internally and avoid the eyelids, ear and throat (Adam’s apple area).
• More than 10 minutes for each treatment. Overuse of ultrasound
cleansing will tire out the muscles and tissues, which will produce
undesirable results.
• On open sores, wounds or infected areas. Consult a doctor prior to
use.
• If you are pregnant.
• If you have a pacemaker, heart disease or other serious medical
condition.
If you are currently under medical care for a skin condition, consult
your doctor before using Mira-Skin.

WHY DO WE USE GLASS CONTAINERS FOR
THE GEL AND SERUM?
Many studies show that polycarbonate plastic, a type of plastic used
in many household and food products, gradually releases a chemical
called bisphenol-A (BPA) into foods and liquids that are stored in con-
tainers made from this material. According to healthnews.org, the
chemical compounds released by these plastics can alter hormones
and have other potential human health effects. By using glass, con-
tainers, we try to minimize your health issues.
SAFETY INFORMATION – WARNINGS
Mira-Skin is an electronic ultrasound device. When using an electronic
product, basic safety precautions should always be followed, includ-
ing but not limited to:
• Use this product only for its intended use as described in this Manual.
• If at any time you experience any irritation (rash or a sunburn-like
sensation), discontinue use of the device immediately.
• Mira-Skin Ultrasound is not intended for use by persons under the
age of 18. Keep out of the reach of children.
• To avoid eye injury, do not use or place the ultrasound device head
directly onto the eye or the upper eyelid. it is intended for use only
as shown on diagram on page 18.
• Do not immerse in water. If the product appears damaged or has
fallen into water, discontinue use.
• Never use or clean the Mira-Skin under running water – use moist
paper towels or moist cotton balls to clean it. Make sure the device
is OFF before cleaning.
• Do not hold the device under water – this could damage the elec-
tronics and/or cause an electric shock
• Always keep the device safely in your hand, don’t drop it as this may
cause irreversible damage
REGULATORY COMPLIANCE INFORMATION
The Mira-Skin device complies with part 15 of the FCC rules. Operation is sub-
ject to the following two conditions: (1) this device may not cause harmful inter-
ference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including
interference that may cause undesired operation.
The Mira-Skin device complies with Part 18 of the FCC rules.
INTERFERENCE, CORRECTIVE MEASURES
The device generates radio-frequency energy. It may cause interference with
radio and television reception. If you think there is interference, turn off your
device or move it away from the radio or television.
WARRANTY INFORMATION AND DISPOSAL
Mira-Skin Ultrasound comes with a two-year warranty covering any manufactur-
ing defects. If you think the device is not functioning properly, please call cus-
tomer care at +1 781 975-3552 for assistance. The device itself does not re-
quire any routine maintenance.
Do not open the device as this may harm the electronics and void your warran-
ty. Consult a Mira-Skin employee in case of questions.
Your product is designed and manufactured with high quality materi-
als and components, which can be recycled and reused.
When this crossed-off wheeled bin symbol is attached to a product
it means that the product is covered by the European Directive
2002/96/EC. Please inform yourself about the local separate collec-
tion system for electrical and electronic products. Please act ac-
cording to your local rules and do not dispose of your old products
with your normal household waste. Correct disposal of your old
product helps to prevent potential negative consequences for the
environment and human health.
Your product contains batteries covered by the European Directive
2006/66/EC, which cannot be disposed with normal household
