Important Safeguards
When using electrical appliances, in order to
reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and/or
injury to persons, basic safety precautions should
always be followed, including:

Read all instructions carefully, even if you feel you
are quite familiar with the appliance.
Do not position this heater immediately
below a socket outlet.
This heater is hot when in use. To avoid
burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces.
Let the heater cool before moving. Keep
combustible materials such as furniture,
pillows, bedding, papers, clothes and curtains
at least 1m from the front of the heater and
keep them away from the sides and rear.
The appliance is not intended for use by
young children or infirm persons without
supervision.
Young children should be supervised to
ensure that they do not play with the
appliance.
Always unplug the heater when not in use.
Do not operate the heater with a damaged
cord or plug or after the heater malfunctions,
has been dropped or damaged in any
manner. Return the heater to an authorised
service facility for examination.
Do not use the heater outdoors.
This heater is not intended for use in
bathrooms, laundry areas or similar moist
indoor locations. Never locate heater where
it may fall into a bathtub, shower, swimming
pool or any other water container.
Do not use this heater in the immediate
surroundings of a bath, shower or a
swimming pool.
Do not run power cord under carpeting.
Do not cover cord with throw rugs, runners or
the like. Arrange cord away from traffic areas
and where it will not be tripped over.
Do not plug this heater into an extension
lead, double adaptor or power board.
Do not place cord over any part of the heater.
To disconnect heater, set control to OFF and
then remove the plug from the outlet.
Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter
any grille opening as this may cause an
electric shock, fire or damage the heater.
To prevent a possible fire, NEVER OBSTRUCT
OR BLOCK ANY OPENINGS IN THE
HEATER. Keep the heater at least 1 metre
from curtains and drapes which may be
blown into air inlets.
Do not use this heater on soft surfaces, like a
bed, where the openings may become
blocked.
This heater has hot electrical parts inside.
DO NOT use it in areas where gasoline,
paint or flammable liquids are used or
stored.
Do not abuse the cord. Never carry the
appliance by the cord or yank it to disconnect
if from an outlet; instead, grasp the plug and
pull to disconnect.
Do not attempt to repair, disassemble or
modify the appliance. There are no user
serviceable parts.
Use the heater only as directed in this
manual. Any other use not recommended by
the manufacturer may cause fire, electric
shock or injury to persons.
COMPULSORY WARNING
If the supply cord is damaged it must be replaced
by the manufacturer or its service agent or a
similarly qualified person in order to avoid a
hazard.

Your Mistral Fan Heater
Congratulations on the purchase of your new
Mistral Low Profile Fan Heater.
Before first using your Mistral Fan Heater, it is
most important that you read and follow the
instructions in this use and care booklet, even if
you feel your are quite familiar with this type of
appliance.
Your attention is drawn particularly to the section
dealing with IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS. Find a
place and keep this booklet handy for future
reference.
Your Mistral Low Profile Fan Heater is safe and
easy to use. It has been designed to function
quietly and safely under normal circumstances.
This quality Mistral Fan Heater is fully portable,
with a sturdy metal body and contemporary
design. The Heater features an easy to set
thermostat control, two heat settings as well as a
cooling fan option.
Assembly and Operation
Operation
Remove your heater from its carton and
unwind the power cord to its full length.
Place the heater on a level surface in a
stable upright position. Make certain its 4
position dial is in the 0 “OFF” position.
Plug the cord into a socket outlet.
For heat, turn the control dial to 1 for half
power, 2 for full power or for lower power
fan only. The red power indicator light will
illuminate whenever the heater or fan are
selected.
Setting 1, half power, is best suited to
smaller, well-insulated areas that require
less warming to maintain temperature.
Setting 2, full power, delivers rapid warming
air to quickly increase the temperature in a
given area.
Thermostat
An adjustable thermostatic controller has
been built into this heater allowing you to
choose how warm you wish a particular area
to be. When your selected preset
temperature is reached the heater coils and
fan will switch off. As the area begins to cool
the thermostat reconnects power
automatically.
Adjust the thermostat between MAX (where
the line is the thickest) and MIN ( ) until
required room temperature is reached.

Care and Cleaning
Always turn to position 0 and unplug heater
from the socket.
Use a dry, soft cloth to wipe all exterior
surfaces.
Never use any form of detergents or solvents
to clean the heater.
Never spray with liquids or submerge in
liquids or water.
DO NOT attempt to clean the interior of the
heater.
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO OPEN THE CASE OF
THIS HEATER at any time. There are no
consumer serviceable parts inside unit.
Note: If the cordset of the appliance becomes
damaged discontinue use. Repair should be
undertaken only by a qualified technician.

Warranty
The benefits conferred by this warranty are in
addition to all implied warranties, other rights
and remedies in respect of the product which
the consumer has under the Trade Practices Act

The original purchaser of this Mistral product is
provided with the following warranty, subject to
the following conditions.
Mistral International Pty Ltd warrant this product
for a period of 2 years from the date of purchase
for all parts defective in workmanship or
materials. The product or defective parts will be
replaced free of charge.
WARRANTY CONDITIONS
1. This warranty is only valid for appliances
used according to the manufacturer’s
instructions.
2. This appliance must not be modified or
changed in any way.
3. Connection must be to the voltage
requirements as specified in the ratings
label located on the product.
4. The manufacturer does not accept liability
for any direct or consequential damage, loss
or other expense arising from misuse or
incorrect installation and operation of the
appliance.
5. Warranty will only be given where proof of
purchase is provided, e.g. original invoice.
6. Not designed or warranted for industrial
or commercial use.
