This product needs to be installed properly in order to ensure maximum functionality as well as safety.
Please make sure to read this installation manual before starting the installation.
zInstallation must be performed by a dealer or installation contractor. Please note that improper installation may cause malfunction or accident.
Separate booklet “Operating Instructions”is provided for the customer. The booklet and this manual must be handed over to the customer after completing the installation.
Safety precautions
The following signs indicate that death or serious injury may be caused by failure to heed the precautions described below.

given must be

The Lossnay unit and remote controller should not be installed
where it is highly humid, like a bathroom, or other wet place.
(It could cause electric shock or power leakage.)
Connect the product properly to ground.
(Malfunctioning or power leaks can cause electrical shock.)
Use the specied power supply and voltage.
(Use of incorrect power supply or voltage could cause re or electric shock.)
Select a place with sucient strength and install the main unit securely.
(It could cause injury if it falls.)
Wiring work must be performed by qualied professionals, and be
implemented safely and securely in accordance with the engineering
standards and the extension wiring rules for electrical equipment.
(Poor connection or improper wiring work could cause electric shock or re.)
Install a power supply isolator at the power supply side as per local
electrical regulations. All supply circuits must be disconnected before
obtaining access to the terminal devices. Use the specied cable size and
connect the cables securely to prevent disconnection when they are pulled.
(If there is a defect in the connection, there is a possibility of re.)
Select an adequate place for the opening to introduce outdoor
air, where it will not intake the exhaust fumes like combustion
gas, or others, and there is no risk of blockage.
(Shortage of fresh air could put the room in a state of oxygen deciency.)
A duct made of steel must be installed with care not to be connected
electrically with metals such as metal , wire , stainless steel plate, or others.
(It could cause re when power leakage occurs.)
Do not place a burning appliance in a place where it is exposed
directly to the air from the Lossnay unit.
(It could cause an accident as a result of incomplete combustion.)
Do not use at a place where it is exposed to high temperatures
(104˚F (40˚C) or higher), naked ames, or in environment with
combustible fumes.
(It could cause re.)
Do not use in an environment such as a chemical factory,
where hazardous gases such as acidic gases, alkaline gases,
organic solvent fumes, paint fumes, or gases containing
corrosive components are generated.
(It could cause malfunction.)
Do not install this product in a place where it is exposed to
ultraviolet light.
(UV may damage covering insulation.)
Put on gloves during installation. (It could cause injury.)
Make sure the power supply isolator is turned o on the power
distribution panel when Lossnay is not used for a long period
of time after the installation. (It could cause electric shock, power
leakage, or re as a result of deteriorated insulation.)
Always use the specied suspension bolts, nuts and washers
and correctly rated wire / chain hangers. (Use of hardware with
insucient strength could result in the product dropping.)
The outside ducts must be tilted at a gradient (1/30 or more)
down toward the outdoor louvres from Lossnay, and properly
insulated. (The entry of rain water may cause power leakage, re,
or damage to household property.)
The control box cover must be closed after the installation.
(Dust or humidity may cause power leakage or re.)
When connecting external devices (electrically operated damper,
lamp, monitoring unit, etc.) using output signals of the Lossnay unit,
make sure to install safety equipment for the external devices.
(It could cause re, damage, etc. without safety equipment.)

CAUTION

When using the product where it is exposed to high temperatures and humidity (104˚F
(40˚C) or higher, RH 80% or higher), or where fog occurs frequently, moisture is likely to
condense in the core, and may result in condensation build up in the unit. The product
should not be used under such conditions.
z
Outdoor air may enter the Lossnay owing to the pressure dierence between
indoor and outdoor or external winds even when the product is not operated. It is
recommended to install an Electrically operated damper to block the outdoor air.
z
In a cold weather area, an area with strong external winds or where fog occurs frequently,
cold outdoor air, external winds or fog may be introduced into the product when its
operation is stopped. It is recommended to install an electrically operated damper.
z
When using the product in an environment where there is a window, or opening near
the outdoor louvre , where insects are likely to gather around the interior or exterior
light , take note that small insects may intrude into the product.
z
In a cold weather area, or others, dewing or freezing could occur on the main unit,
where the duct is connected, or other sections, depending on the conditions of
outdoor air and indoor temperature and moisture, even if they are within the range
of operating conditions. Make sure to conrm the operating conditions and other
precautions, and do not use the product if dewing or freezing is anticipated.

or higher (When the indoor temperature is 71.6˚F (22˚C) or higher with the relative humidity higher than 50%, or other)

Standard installation examples
Installing the Lossnay unit
1. Preparing the anchor bolts
Mount the washers (outer diameter of >13/16 inch for 3/8-16 UNC (21
mm for M10) >15/16 inch for 7/16-14 UNC (24 mm for M12) and nuts
onto the pre-recessed anchor bolts (3/8-16 or 7/16-14 UNC (M10 or
M12)), as shown in the gure below.

Remove the maintenance cover, rotate the parts by

• In a region where there is risk of freezing in winter, it is recommended
to install an Electrically operated damper, or the like, in order to prevent
the intrusion of (cold) outdoor air while Lossnay is stopped.

2. Attaching the duct connecting anges
Use the supplied screws to secure the duct connecting anges to the
Lossnay unit.
CAUTION
• Before attaching the duct connecting anges, check that no
foreign matter (scraps of paper, vinyl, etc.) has found its way inside
to Lossnay unit.
• Attach the duct connecting anges with the packing at the SA and
RA sides.
3. Mounting Lossnay unit
(1) Hang the ceiling suspension xtures on the anchor bolts and adjust in
such a way that Lossnay unit is level.
(2) Tighten up securely using double nuts.
CAUTION
• When suspending Lossnay unit from the ceiling, do not handle it in
such a way that force will be applied to the control box.
• Install the anchor bolts to ensure the product's weight or
earthquake load. (Correctly rated wire/chain may also be used)

If the suspension bolts are short, change the
mounting hardware.
For the models LGH-F470 and F600 RX5
(1) Remove the suspension xture and mount it to the upper mounting
position.
(2) Replace screws in the holes for the suspension xture that has been
removed to prevent air leakage

1. Install the duct connecting ange using attached mounting screws.
2. Fix the removed ange cover with the removed mounting screws
(4 pcs).

4. Connecting the ducts
(1) Fasten the duct securely to the duct connecting ange, and wrap
aluminium tape (not included) around the joints so that there is no air
leakage.
(2) Suspend the ducts from the ceiling so that their weight will not be
applied to the Lossnay unit.
(3) The two outdoor ducts must be covered with heat-insulating material
in order to prevent condensation from forming.
5. When changing the direction of the out door
side duct (EA/OA) ·····Except for LGH-F1200 RX5
(1) Removal of ange cover
Unscrewing the ange cover mounting screws (4 pcs), remove the
ange cover.
.CAUTION
• Before attaching the ducts, check that no (debris or any other)
foreign matter (scraps of paper, vinyl, etc.) has found its way inside
the ducts.
• Do not touch the damper plate inside Lossnay unit when
connecting the ducts.
• If it is expected that the ambient temperature around the place
where the Lossnay unit is installed will be high during the summer
air conditioning season, it is recommended that the indoor duct
work be covered with insulation material.
Do not carry out the following types of duct construction. (Doing so could
cause a drop in the air volume and generate abnormal noises.)
.CAUTION
• After installing the Lossnay unit, attach the supplied screw caps to
the screws at the bottom of the unit.

The following system conguration can be

Securely connect the transmission cable (PVC insulated PVC jacketed and

Pass the power cable through the bush* and connect to the TM1
terminal block using the round terminals. Connect the ground wire
to the ground terminal and secure tightening the bush. (*: for PG

CAUTION
• Always separate the power supply cable and transmission cable by
2” (5 cm) or more to prevent malfunctioning of the unit.
• If the length of the stripped power cables wires is too long, the

Connect the interlocking cable connector side to CN2L on the circuit
board for the indoor Mr. Slim unit, then connect the lead wire side to
the 1and 2of the input terminal block (TM2) for the Lossnay external
controller input. (No polarity)
• Always separate the power supply cable and the Slim-Lossnay
connection cable by 2” (5 cm) or more to prevent the unit from
malfunctioning.
• The Slim-Lossnay connection cable is 9 7/8” (0.25 m) long. When wiring,

2Switching to power supply/exhaust when operation starts
This sets the fan to run forcibly for 30 minutes when operation starts to
ventilate the indoor area. After 30 minutes, the system switches to enable
fan speed adjustment from the remote controller. Use this setting if the
indoor air is contaminated at night when the system is shut down and you
desire to ventilate the indoor area quickly when operation is started in the
morning.

4. If trouble occurs during trial operation

• Check the power supply. (The specied power supply is single-phase 208 - 230 V ~ 60 Hz)
• Check for a short circuit or disconnection in the transmission cable. (Check that the voltage between terminals in the
transmission cables is 9 to 15 VDC for the PZ-60DR-E or PZ-41SLB-E and 20 to 30 VDC for the PZ-52SF-E.)
• Check that the there is 2”(5 cm) or more separating the transmission cable from the power supply cable and any other
transmission cables.
• Run the Lossnay independently using the trial operation switch (SW2-1) and check if it runs.
Lossnay runs --> Check the signal lines
Lossnay doesn’t run --> Check the power supply
• Check if there are three or more remote controller connected (PZ-60DR-E or PZ-41SLB-E). (The maximum is two.)
“HO” ashes in remote controller for
Lossnay (PZ-52SF-E).
• Perform the registration operation using the remote controller for the Lossnay (PZ-52SF-E) or MELANS. (Refer to the installation

• Check if a clearance of 2”(5 cm) is secured between the transmission wire and the power cable and other transmission wires.

• Check the connections at the external control input terminal block (TM2).
In the case of voltage charged 12 or 24 VDC output device: Connect to external control input terminals 1and 2.
In the case of uncharged a-contact output device: Connect to external control input terminals 1and 3.
In the case of Mr. Slim (A control or K control): Connect to external control input terminals 1and 2.
• Perform the registration operation using the remote control for the air conditioner or MELANS. (Refer to the installation
instructions for the remote controller for the indoor unit or MELANS.)
• Check if the delay has been set.
• Check the overall length of the transmission cable between the external device and Lossnay. (Refer to technical publications or
other such documents.)
• Check if the transmission cable from the external device has come o of the external control input terminal.

3. Complete system trial operation
Interlock system containing an indoor unit and/or external device
• Use the remote controller for the indoor unit or the operating switches
for the external device and conrm that the indoor unit and Lossnay are
interlocked.
• If delay time has been set, check that the Lossnay operates after the
delay time has passed.
If MELANS System
• Use MELANS to conrm the operation of the Lossnay.
2. Stand-alone Lossnay trial operation
(1) Supply power to the Lossnay unit.
(2) Turn the trial operation switch (SW2-1)“On.”
• Operation will start with the “High” setting and with Bypass
ventilation operating. (This will take approximately 1 minute
after the power is turned on.)
(3)
Conrm that the Bypass damper plate in the Lossnay unit is operated.
(4) Turn the trial operation switch (SW2-1)“O.”

and operation will be performed at the “High”setting.

Avant de procéder à son installation veuillez lire attentivement ce manuel d’installation.
Les opérations d’installation doivent être accomplies par le revendeur ou un monteur spécialisé. Les erreurs de montage risquent de provoquer des pannes ou des accidents.
Un Mode d'emploi séparé a été préparé à l’attention du client. Ce mode d’emploi et ce manuel doivent être remis au client au terme des opérations de montage.

Choisissez un endroit susamment solide pour installer l’unité

Le câblage doit être accompli par un professionnel qualié
conformément aux normes de sécurité sur l’installation et les rallonges
des appareils électriques. (Les erreurs de connexion ou de câblage
risquent de provoquer une électrocution ou un incendie).
Montez un sectionneur de courant du côté secteur conformément aux
règlements locaux en matière de sécurité électrique.
Débranchez tous les circuits d’alimentation avant d’accéder aux dispositif terminaux.
Utilisez des câbles ayant la dimension indiquée et branchez-les
solidement an d’éviter qu’ils ne se déconnectent si on les tire. (Les
erreurs de connexion risquent de provoquer un incendie).
Choisissez un endroit adéquat où pratiquer la bouche d’aspiration de
l’air extérieur, c’est-à-dire ne présentant ni risque d'aspirer des fumées ou
des gaz de combustion ou autres, ni risque de colmatage. (Une mauvaise
alimentation en air frais risque de causer un manque d’oxygène dans la pièce).
Montez un conduit en acier en veillant à ne pas le raccorder électriquement
sur des objets métalliques tels que conducteurs, plaques en acier inoxydable
ou autres. (Vous pourriez provoquer un incendie en cas de fuite de courant).
Ne placez pas d’appareil de cuisson dans un endroit
directement exposé au soue produit par l’unité Lossnay.
(La combustion incomplète pourrait provoquer un accident).
N’utilisez pas l’appareil dans un endroit exposé à des
températures élevées (40˚C ou davantage), à des ammes vives
ou à des vapeurs inammables.
(Vous risqueriez de provoquer un incendie).
N’utilisez pas l’appareil dans un endroit où, comme dans une
usine chimique, des gaz dangereux, par exemple acides ou
alcalins, des vapeurs de solvant organique ou de peintures ou
des gaz contenant des composants corrosifs sont produits.
(Il pourrait ne pas fonctionner correctement).
N’installez pas cet appareil dans un endroit exposé aux rayons
ultraviolets. (Les UV pourraient endommager l’isolant).
Enlez des gants pendant les opérations d‘entretien. (Vous risqueriez de vous blesser).
Vériez si vous avez mis hors tension l’appareil avec le sectionneur électrique du tableau
de distribution si vous n’utilisez Lossnay que longtemps après son installation. (En se
détériorant l’isolant pourrait causer une électrocution, une fuite de courant ou un incendie)
Utilisez toujours les boulons, écrous et rondelles de suspension
indiqués ou des suspensions à chaîne/l ayant une portée adéquate.
(Si le matériel de suspension utilis n'est pas assez robuste l'appareil risque de tomber).
Les conduits extérieurs doivent être inclinés (1/30 ou davantage) vers les grilles
extérieures de Lossnay et correctement isolés. (En p
énét
rant dans l’appareil l’eau de
pluie pourrait provoquer une fuite de courant, un incendie ou des dégâts matériels).
Le couvercle du boîtier de commande doit être refermé après le montage. (La
poussiéte ou l’humidité pourraient provoquer une fuite de courant ou un incendie).
Lorsque vous branchez des dispositifs externes (humidicateur électrique,
lampes, unité de monitorage, etc..) utilisant les signaux de sortie de l’unité
Lossnay, veillez à monter des systèmes de sécurité sur ces dispositifs externes.
(En ne montant pas ces systèmes de sécurité vous risquez de provoquer un
incendie ou des dégâts matériels.)
ATTENTION
ATTENTION
zSi vous utilisez l’appareil dans un endroit exposé à des températures ou des taux
d’humidité élevés 40˚C ou davantage, 80% RH ou davantage) ou à la formation
fréquente de brouillard, l’humidité risque de se condenser dans le noyau et de
s'accumuler dans l'unité. N’utilisez pas l’appareil dans de telles conditions.
z
Même si l’appareil n’est pas en marche, de l’air extérieur peut pénétrer dans l’unité Lossnay à la
suite de la diérence de pression entre l’intérieur et l’extérieur ou de vents extérieurs. Nous vous
recommandons de monter un obturateur électrique pour empêcher l’air extérieur d’entrer.

Dans les climats froids, les endroits exposés à des vents puissants ou à du brouillard fréquent,
de l’air extérieur froid, du vent ou du brouillard risquent de pénétrer dans l’appareil lorsqu'il
est à l'arrêt. Nous vous recommandons de monter un obturateur électrique.
z
Si vous utilisez l’appareil dans une pièce disposant d’une fenêtre ou s’ouvrant à
proximité de la grille extérieure, les petits insectes, qui se rassemblent autour de la
lumière intérieure ou extérieure, risquent de pénétrer dans l’appareil.
z
Dans les pays froids en particulier, des condensâtes ou du gel peuvent se former sur l’unité principale,
au niveau du raccordement du conduit ou en tout autre endroit, selon les conditions de l’air extérieur
et la température et l’humidité intérieures, même si ces valeurs se trouvent dans la plage de
fonctionnement de l’appareil. Vériez si les conditions de fonctionnement sont remplies et si les autres
précautions sont prises et n’utilisez pas l’appareil s’il existe un risque de gel ou de rosée.

Installer les rondelles (diamètre extérieur >21 mm pour les boulons M10,
>24 pour les boulons M12) et les écrous sur les boulons d’ancrage (M10
ou M12) préalablement noyés comme illustré ci-dessous.

Utiliser les vis fournies pour xer les brides de raccordement des
conduits à l’unité Lossnay.
• Les diérents éléments peuvent également être
installés à l’envers (sens dessus dessous).

3. Montage de l’unité Lossnay
(1)
Accrocher les ferrures de xation au plafond aux boulons d’ancrage et
les régler de sorte que l’unité Lossnay soit à l’horizontale.
(2) Serrer à fond avec des écrous doubles.
ATTENTION
•
Lors de la suspension de l’unité Lossnay au plafond, veiller à n’imposer aucune contrainte
au boîtier de commande.
•
Montez des boulons d’ancrage en mesure de supporter le poids de l'appareil et les
tremblements de terre. (Vous pouvez aussi utiliser une chaîne/un l de portée adéquate).

Si les boulons de suspension sont trop courts,
changer la ferrure de suspension.
Pour les modèles LGH-F470 et F600 RX5
(1)Retirer la xation de la suspension et la monter sur la position
supérieure.
(2)Remettre les vis en place dans les orices de la xation de suspension
retirée, pour éviter toute fuite d’air.
4. Raccordement des conduits
(1) Fixez solidement le conduit sur la bride de raccordement du conduit
et enroulez du ruban en aluminium (pas fourni) autour des joints pour
éviter toute fuite d’air.
(2) Suspendre les conduits au plafond de sorte que leur poids ne repose
pas sur l’unité Lossnay.
(3) Recouvrir les deux conduits extérieurs de matière calorifuge an
d’empêcher la formation de condensation.
ATTENTION
• Avant de xer les conduits, vériez l’absence de tous débris ou
corps étrangers (bouts de papier, vinyle, etc..) à l’intérieur des
conduits.
• Lors du branchement des conduits, veiller à ne pas toucher le
registre à l’intérieur de l’unité Lossnay.
• Si la température ambiante du lieu d’installation de l’unité Lossnay
est susceptible d’être élevée en été, il est recommandé de recouvrir
la conduite intérieure d’un matériau isolant.
Ne jamais installer les conduits dans les conditions illustrées ci-dessous.
(Cela pourrait réduire le volume d’air et entraîner des bruits anormaux.)
5. Lors du changement de sens du conduit côté
extérieur (EA/OA) sauf sur les modèle LGH-
F1200 RX5
(1) Retrait du couvre-bride
Dévissez les vis de montage du couvre-bride (4), retirez le couvre-bride.

2. Fixez le couvre-bride retiré auparavant à l'aide des vis de montage
retirées auparavant (4).
