
8. Operation
The mixer may only be operated by instructed personnel and in accordance with the safety regulations. Before
starting the mixer, the operator must have convinced himself that it is not defective. The mixer may not be started
until the operator has satisfied himself that there are no persons on or under the machine or may be at risk in any
other way. In case of emergency, immediately switch off the mixer and release it.
9. Maintenance
The owner is responsible for maintenance and cleaning of the mixer in accordance with the regulations and deadlines
described in this chapter. Anyone working with the mixer with regard to maintenance must have read and understood
the entire manual and be authorized to work with the mixer. In the event of maintenance or troubleshooting, switch off
the mixer, stop it, de-release it and lock it against accidental start-up before starting work. Mechanical defects such
as worn bearings or loose bolts and nuts must be rectified or replaced immediately. Technical changes that affect the
operation or safety of the machine may only be carried out by or on behalf of Machinebouw Jansen Stroe. If a
customer himself makes changes to the mixer, without the permission of Machinebouw Jansen Stroe and at the
expense of the safety of the mixer, then Machinebouw Jansen Stroe cannot be held liable for any damage and/or
injury, the responsibility lies with the customer.
General control
Check the mixer daily for defects in, for example, cords, protective caps, switches, etc. When turning the mixer,
check it for mechanical and/or electrical defects such as strange noise or overheating. Any defects must be
repaired immediately.
engines
Electric motors should be checked monthly for excessive heat development and abnormal noises. If deviations are
detected, immediately take the necessary action. To overhaul the upper row, please contact Machinebouw Jansen
Stroe or your dealer. It is not advisable to do this yourself. Openings intended for the suction of air in order to cool
the drive must always be free and unobstructed.
hygiene
If lubrication is carried out, remove excess grease and/or oil thoroughly immediately. Removal of grease, according
to your internal company regulations.
10. Cleaning
Everyone who cleans the mixer must be familiar with the safety regulations related to cleaning. To clean the mixer,
switch off the mixer and release it, unless otherwise stated. Control cabinets, control cabinets and signallers as well
as any plugs must also be carefully shielded. Disinfection of machine parts should be done in accordance with
internal protocol and in particular with regard to the operating instruction.
10.1 cleaning sequence
1. Remove any remaining liquid from the tank by means of a drain valve. Disposal according to internal protocol.
Should never be reused!
2. Leave the drain tap open and rinse the tank with clean water.
3. Close the drain tap and fill the tank with 3/4 clean water. Then start the agitator and let it run for 10 minutes.
4. Open the drain valve and empty the tank.
CAUTION : Only cleaning agents and disinfectants that have been found to be suitable for your application
may be used to clean the mixer.
