8. Replace the cover securing with the cover screws and screw caps. (fig.4)
Test for correct operation
This socket contains a short circuit and overload protection feature. If there is no
power from the USB socket, unplug the connected device and check to ensure the USB
socket and USB device have not come into contact with water, liquid or debris and the
cable to the device is not damaged. With no device connected to the USB socket it will
automatically reset and be ready for use
We recommend using high quality USB charging cables as low cost options may cause
compatibility issues and may inhibit your device’s ability to charge efficiently

• On/Off switches control the 13A sockets only
• USB charger sockets are independent of the 13A sockets and cannot be switched off
• Ensure that the mains supply is switched off and the circuit fuses are removed or circuit
breakers switched off
• To maintain the finish of this product, periodically wipe over with a dry soft cloth
• Before installation/maintenance, ensure the mains supply is switched off and the circuit
fuses are removed or circuit breakers switched off
• This product must be installed in accordance with the latest edition of the IEE Wiring
Regulations and current Building Regulations. If in any doubt, consult a

• This is a Class I product and must be earthed
• These instructions should be read carefully and retained after installation for further
reference and maintenance
1. Carefully prize off the
screw caps with a flat-head
screwdiver
2. Unscrew the cover screws and
remove the front cover (fig.1)
3. Place the socket in position
and mark the 4 fixing holes as
shown in (fig.2)
4. Drill the holes for the fixings
ensuring not to infringe with
any joists, gas/water pipes or
electrical cables that may be
hidden behind the surface
5. Thread the mains cable through
the cable entry hole and rubber
grommet provided
6. Secure the unit to the mounting
surface. Subject to the surface
foundation material, please
ensure the correct fixings
are used
7. Connect the supply wires to
the terminal block (fig.3). This
product must be earthed.
Connect the mains cable to
the terminal block provided
ensuring correct polarity is
