WELCOME
Thank you for purchasing a Mobicycle electric bike!
It will allow you to travel in an economical and ecological way, while bringing you an ease
of pedaling unknown on a classic bike.
We invite you to read this instructions manual to get the most out of your Mobicycle bike.
This User Manual provides details on the product, its equipment and gives information on how to
operate it and maintenance.
Read it carefully and familiarise yourself with your electric bike before using it, in order to maximize
safety and prevent tragic accidents.
Never forget that a power-assisted bike is not a scooter and will require your help to go further, faster
and longer.
We encourage you to take charge of your power-assisted bike in an open space, in order to feel the
release of your engine, and thus ensure optimal control of your bike.
This User Guide lists the many possible hazards and contains many warnings about how to use this
electric bike and the safety implications if setup, operation and maintenance were not done in the
right way.
An electric bike is heavier than a conventional bike (the average weight for a MOBICYCLE bike
without battery is 25 kg). Without assistance pedaling can be more difcult. You must always make
sure you are able to travel without assistance.
Read it carefully and if you have any questions, please contact us immediately.

RECOMMENDATIONS OF USE
The electric bike (eBike) allows daily use on urban and peri-urban roads by limiting the effort thanks
to the electric motor.

ment and luggage included.
Do not leave the eBike and its components within the reach of children.
Do not dispose of the battery in the trash.
Do not apply pressure on the charger wire or on the plug.
Be sure to insert the plug into the wall insert when charging.
Do not touch the plug with wet hands.

TIPS FOR DRIVING AN E-BIKE
Cycling with electric bike requires a little practice :
In the beginning, practice in a place with enough space around you and if possible without
trafc or pedestrians. You will be able to familiarise yourself with driving with assistance,
control the braking behavior and know how to change gears.
Practice turns more specically. Stop pedaling in time before the curves. Do not start peda
ling too soon after, otherwise the engine accelerates while you are still in the bend.
Try all the speeds and observe the acceleration compared to the selected speed.
At rst, drive on level 1 or 2, the engine does not accelerate as hard and you save battery.
The battery life is even greater when you pedal with a low level of assistance.
Never attempt to activate the battery and engine while driving. You risk an accident and the
engine will be damaged.
Do not forget when planning a route, that the bike (because of its reinforced construction,
components, engine and battery) will have a greater weight than a normal bike. If stairs or
obstacles are on the itinerary, get help to carry the bike.
Because of its weight, braking distances can be longer than with a conventional bike. It
must be taken into account.
Of course, you can use the bike without assistance at any time.
Although wearing the helmet is not mandatory for adults, it is advisable to wear one to
prevent any accident.

BATTERY
Caution: Risk of material damage due to water penetration. The engine and battery are
protected against rain and splashing water when the battery is mounted. When removing the batte-
ry, water may enter in contact with electrical parts of the bike. Always keep the bike out of the rain to
remove the battery. If necessary, dry the electrical contacts before retting the battery.
Remove the E-Folding battery
• Tilt the saddle via the gray pull tab
• Turn the key to «Push»
• Open the system to tighten the seat post
• Pull the battery upwards.
- 11 -

Remove the E-Mountain battery
• Turn the key and lift the battery
• Pull the battery towards you
Remove the E-City battery
• Turn the key
• Pull the battery towards you

Battery charge
Use only the specic charger provided with the purchase of the bike.
Fully charge the battery before the rst trip and after each use, even after a short trip.
Charge the battery in a temperature controlled environment (15 - 25 ° C)
• Plug the charger connector into the battery socket
• Plug the power plug into an outlet
• The charger indicator is red while charging
• As soon as the indicator turns green, charging is complete.
• Remove the main plug from the socket
• Remove the connector from the battery socket
Danger
• Do not operate charger at temperatures above 50°C or with relative air humidity
above 80%.
• Charge the battery only in dry spaces.
• Do not cover the charger
• Do not charge in full sun
• The battery should always be charged in a ventilated place
• Do not use the battery if it emits an unusual smell or heats up abnormally.
• Do not disassemble the charger
• Do not expose the charger and battery to ames or sparks.
For extended battery life
The battery is a last-generation lithium-ion battery. These batteries have no memory effect.
Advantage : The battery no longer needs to be fully discharged before being recharged to have
maximum capacity.
• Deep discharge or empty storage is detrimental to the battery. Therefore, after each
use, after a few days of non-use and when you do not use the bike for a long time,
for example in winter, you must charge it completely at least every 30 days.
• Store the bike with its battery in a dry place.
• Charge and store the battery in a temperature controlled environment.
• Charge the battery after each use, even a short trip.
• When the bike is stopped, even for short breaks please turn off the assistance via
the control system
• The battery should never be opened
- 13 -

Respect the environment
Do not dispose of the battery or charger in the wild or with
your household waste. Take it back to a recycling center !
With this responsible action, you will contribute to the pro-
tection of your environment.

MAINTENANCE TIPS
The pressure of your tires decreases with time which is perfectly normal. A bicycle’s inner tube is
slightly porous. Remember to check and regularly control the pressure of your tires. Driving deated
reduces the battery life, increases pedaling effort and promotes punctures. We advise you to select
a pressure of 3.5 bar for a soft use and of 4 bar for a more sporting use.
Check the tension of your chain which must be perfectly tight. If this is not the case, you may derail
and damage the rear derailleur.
If you do not use your electric bike regularly, we recommend that you recharge it at least once a
month. Remember to keep it away from moisture.
For any intervention on your power-assisted bicycle (cleaning, electrical or mechanical mainte-
nance), you must absolutely remove your battery and switch off your eBike.

Brushless motors have an advantage over DC (Direct Current) motors.
Indeed, the absence of brushes avoids a number of problems typical
of DC motors, namely friction and noise that limit the life of the engine by
their wear.
A brushless motor has the same elements as a DC motor, except the
brush collector, but the location of the coils and permanent magnets are
reversed. The rotor is composed of one or more permanent magnets, and
the stator of several coils.
These engines are therefore more efcient in the long term and offer
great energy savings.
