Thank you for purchasing Mode Com Luxio multimedia player.
Mode Com Luxio is a stylish player of outstanding specication and perfect sound
quality. We provided our device with extra sensitive, backlight touch control panel.
Although small in size and only 7.6 mm thick, Luxio is equipped with 1.8 inch LCD
display. It is well accommodated to review of the video les in AVI format. Gain ge-
nuine satisfaction from handling this easy to operate and user friendly interface in
Polish language version.
The Luxio user can enjoy music in MP3 or WMA format. The player also includes
a radio set with presets storage function. Review easily your favorite JPEG shots
and read out text les. Dictaphone and line-in record functions are also installed.
Graphic Equalizer is provided in the player with selection of seven settings, howe-
ver the user can program own sets. Tetris game is installed in the player software.
Luxio is equipped with AC charger in standard providing charging the player from
the power mains outlet should a PC or laptop be not available. In standard equ-
ipment the user will also nd a holder for protection of the Luxio player against
contamination.

These details are intended to protect the safety of the user and to prevent
property damage. Please read carefully and use the product accordingly.
Mode Com Ltd. company will not be responsible for damage from loss of recorded
data and stored data due to problem, repair or other reasons.
Do not leave the pro-
duct near heating de-

Note the following details on the battery. It can cause re and damage to the
product.
The battery used in this product is a Lithium-Polymer battery.
Do not use other batteries by disassembling the main unit.
For trac safety, do not use the ear phones while driving a bicycle, car or mo-
tor cycle etc. Be careful of the ear phone lines so that it does not get caught by
your arm or other devices while working out or walking etc. To protect your
hearing capabilities, do not use the ear phones in loud volume for a long pe-
riod of time. If you hear resonating sounds in your ear, reduce the volume or
stop using the ear phones.

Precaution when using the touch
button
The buttons of this product are operated in touch button method.
Check the „Precaution related to using the touch button” before using the
touch button.
1. Because the touch button detects the electricity capacity of human body, the but-
ton can be pressed when the unit is in the pocket. In this case, keep the unit in HOLD
condition.
2. Always use clean and dry hands to operate the unit.
- In humid environment, remove the moisture on the surface of the touch button or
on the hand before using the product.
3. The touch button works normally even when it is not pressed hard.
- Be careful not to damage the touch button sensor by applying severe impact.
4. Press the touch button that you want to press with the tip of your nger without
touching the touch button of other function.
5. In order to prevent malfunction of the touch button, the initial touch after the LED
is turned o is to recognize the button and turn on the LED light.
You can execute the operational function you want after checking the light.
(The touch button does not work when the touch light is o.)
6. When you use the touch button with the MP3 case
or vinyl cover on top of the button, it may not work
properly.
Also when you use the touch button with gloves on,
it may not work normally.
7. Be careful not to have any metallic objects that are
conductive touch the surface of the touch button.
Use the end of your ngers
to lightly push the buttons.

Press for 3 seconds to turn the power on

Push in the arrow direction to lock the button operation
Push in the opposite direction to the arrow to unlock the button operation
When you press shortly, you can play/pause, select function and move to
the next screen. When you press long, you can move to the option screen
of each menu.
Press shortly to move to the option menu and high position menu
Press long to move to the main menu
Top bottom/left right movement
Press the button to move top and bottom by one unit
When you keep the button pressed, it will continuously move top and
bottom by one unit
Press the button to move left and right by one unit (photo move-
ment)
When you keep the button pressed, it will continuously move left and
right by one unit
During music, video playback
Press the button shortly to move to the prior song of the current track
Press the button long to move fast forward
Press the button shortly to move to the next song of the current track
Press the button long to rewind
When you press the button during audio and video playback and while
recording, you can adjust the volume.
Interval repeat setting. Every time you press it will switch from [Start interval
repeat] - [Interval repeat playback] - [Cancel interval repeat].

Charging
By utilizing the PC USB cable included with the product, you can charge the main
unit by connecting it to the PC.
When connected with PC device shows charging icon just for rst few seconds, af-
ter that time display informs that device is prepared for data transfer. Players is be-
ing charged during data transfer. To see charging process please do as fallows:
Double click on the green arrow on the system tray on the bottom right side of
the window screen.
Press the [Stop] button after selecting the USB device. If you see the [Stop hard-
ware device] screen, press [OK].
Charging icon will be displayed.
You can also charge device with USB adaptor that is enclosed together with the
device. It requires total of 1 hour to fully charge the battery.
The using time of the product and the time required to fully charge may dier by
the using condition or environment.

Connecting to the computer
By utilizing the PC USB cable included with the product, you can charge the main
unit by connecting it to the PC.
1. Connect the USB cable to the USB port of the computer.
2. Connect the other side of the USB cable to the connecting terminal on the bot-
tom of Luxio.
3. With a message saying a new device is found, the USB driver will be installed.
The installation screen might not be shown.
Check whether it has been properly installed by checking the Device Manager.
4. When the USB driver is installed, you will see the [RockChip USB MP3] in [Device
Manager].
If you disconnect the USB cable while installing the USB driver initially or while ex-
ecuting a command, it might cause an error in the PC.
Windows 98SE users must rst install the USB driver before connecting the MP3 player.

Using as removable disk
1. By using the USB cable included in the product, connect the main unit to the
PC.
2. Run Windows Explorer (or My Computer).
3. Check whether there is a removable disk.
4. After selecting the le to save, copy it to the removable disk.
The saved les will be played back in the copied order.
Caution
• “Writing” message will be displayed when down-
loading or uploading the le. If you disconnect the
USB cable when the “Writing” message is shown, it
can cause an error to the PC.
• When selecting the removable disk fromWindows
Explorer, the order of the audio les is irrelevant
from the order of actual playback.
When the battery is fully discharged, the LCD scre-
en might not be turned o during initial charge
time.

Disconnecting the USB cable
After nishing sending the les, disconnect the cable in the following method.
If you just simply pull the cable, le copying might not be done correctly in some
systems.
1. Double click on the green arrow on the system tray on the bottom right side of
the window screen.
2. Press the [Stop] button after selecting the USB device.
If you see the [Stop hardware device] screen, press [OK] and then disconnect the
USB cable.
Caution
In Windows 98SE, the green arrow in
the system tray might not be shown.

Press the button for 3 seconds to turn o the power.
Lock function
Push the button in the arrow direction. No button will operate.
To unlock the function, push the button in the opposite direction from
the arrow.

When you select the menu you want, using the buttons from the main
menu and then press the button, it will move to the applicable menu.
Press shortly to move to the option menu and high position menu

Listening to music
Playback
When you select „Music” from the menu and press the button, it will move to
the music play screen.
Press the button to pause the play
Adjusting volume and moving between songs.
In the music play screen, use button to adjust the volume level from 0 ~ 40.
When you press the button, you can move to the next/prior song.
Fast forward/rewind
When you press the while the current song is being played, you can move
to the next/prior part of the song. (It plays from the moment you take your nger
from the button.)
When you pass the end/start of the song during the search, it will move to the
next/prior song.
Selecting le
You can select the le to play from the le explorer menu by pressing the button.
When you press the button, it returns to the Main Menu.

Interval repeat playback
Use this function when you would like to repeat a certain interval during the play-
back of a song.
- Press the [A-B] button from the point where you want to start the interval repeat
and you will see the play status icon [A-] on the top. Press the [A-B] button shortly
where you want to end the interval repeat, and the play status icon on the top will
change to [A-B].
At this time, it will repeat the playback of the set interval.
- When you press the [A-B] button when the interval repeat is set, the interval re-
peat will be canceled
When you press the [A-B] button for a long time, the artist name, music title etc.
are displayed according to the ID3 tag information saved on the music le. This
information is not displayed for les without the ID3 tag (song information).

For the les supporting the lyrics,
the album name will disappear
when the music starts and the ly-
rics will be displayed.
